Club 200 Plus

Can't wait to be back in this club! I let myself go too far and I reached 330 pounds. Now I've lost about 15 pounds (in two weeks - and I didn't even exercise much, it's crazy! Most of it is probably water weight, but it's a great start. :D) and I am slowly creeping my way back toward the way more manageable-seeming 200s.

Sharoo, have you ever had spinach? It's much better for you in a salad than head lettuce. Lots of vitamins in it rather than all water. Something I've learned along the way.
Wiresandwood, water weight or not, it's a great start! I did the same when I started and it was an awesome motivator.

I hope I can hop in and join your club. Please? I am currently 230lbs (my lowest in 5 years) I am hoping to join the 220's in the next week and working hard to get there. How are you all losing the weight? I have just been doing the move more, eat less plan but now I need to step it up a notch! Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, baby spinach is a staple food in our house. I guess that's another food that I like raw. In fact, it's one of the few foods I like better raw than cooked.

I just had so many spinach salads this summer that I started buying leaf lettuce instead, just for a break. Also, I use lettuce sometimes as the wrapper for super-lowcarb wraps (usually filled with cottage cheese, smoked salmon, and green onions). Mmmm.

Hi, I'm a 200+ member. I am trying to lose weight since having a baby over a year ago! 233lbs - looking forward to hitting 229lbs yay.

Heya all, 240 pound here! hoping to break through into the <200 sometime next year hehe

from what I read so far you're a bunch of determined people!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum. Can I join this club?

Weight this morning was 261, down 4 lbs. since last week when I started working out and counting calories. I lost about 100 lbs. a few years ago over a 2 year span, but in the last 2 years have gained most, if not all, of it back. I've just gone through a break up which is causing me to look at my life and set some goals for myself. Anyhow, I have a long journey, but I'm determined.

I'm back myself. I was 301 back in March 2010, and now I am 276. 25 lbs lost. So glad to be under 300. Now I am working on 10 lb increments, so it's not so daunting of a task for me. Lets go y'all!

Hey everyone! Not sure if here's anyone here still that remembers me but I'm back into the 200's. I got pregnant in May last year and I'm only days from my due date. I'm already counting down when I can start working out again and get all this weight off. Its been driving me nuts for over 9 months now! I'm getting married Sept 10th so I want to be as fit as possible when that day gets here. Looking forward to reading everyone's updates and how everything is going for them!

This is me:

Hi all,

I'm reporting as a member here.
Currently at 215 lbs, doing my weigh in on thursdays.
Hoping one day get out of the 200 club, but it ain't gonna be easy. Hit a wall at 205 a year and a half ago, and since then slipped back to 227.
Been working hard to get where I am now since then (even had a 1 week vacation two weeks ago, and was happy to still be on the right track when I got back).

I recently started taking some products that I found online has anyone else tried them. Not sure about how safe they are they make me feel good and I have lost about 5lbs in the last week since taking them. Any feedback would be appreciated. I ordered from <link removed>

Livetosucceed - I have removed your link for two reasons... New members of the forum are not allowed to post any links - and links which sell things are absolutely forbidden unless the forum owner has specifically given approval. Generally - there is no need to buy special products to lose weight. People do not need any magic potions.

Healthy eating at an appropriate calorie level and doing a level of exercise will help you lose weight and is the habit that you need to learn in order to maintain it. Low calorie equivalents are worth buying... I use things like skimmed milk, granulated sweetener instead of sugar, "fry light" oil spray (so that you use only a tiny amount of oil in cooking), 0% or low fat yoghurt etc - but these are all readily available in normal supermarkets.

It is certainly worth trying to be healthy - so quite a lot of people end up taking some forum of multivitamin and maybe an omega-3 fish oil supplement - but these are appropriate whether you are trying to lose weight or not and similarly readily available in normal supermarkets.

If people find that they are not losing weight when eating at an appropriate calorie level and exercising - then it tends to be one of two explanations... Maybe there is an oversight in the way that they are counting calories which they can rectify if they log everything that they eat and drink and weigh it all (not guessing, using scoops, logging everything as "average sized" which is open to error). Alternatively there could be a medical cause and it should be flagged up to a doctor in order to check this out so that it could be treated.

I should add that it is perfectly normal to lose about 5 pounds (or indeed more) in the first week of any weight loss campaign. Sadly - the majority of it is water weight / food weight and not fat as our bodies adjust to a healthier diet... The water weight is reduced as we tend to drink more water and also have less sodium rich food, and the food weight is reduced as we exercise greater portion control so less food is passing through our bodies.

:seeya: I can no longer participate! Yay! 197lbs TODAY!
Congrats!

Good job :)
