Club 170s

Let us know how that goes for you. I have changed the way I eat quite a bit, but there are a lot of traditional "diet" things I don't do. I am not big on fruits and vegetables, so there are only a few I eat. I have egg and toast 3 out of 4 days for breakfast. I may eat a hamburger patty with salad for lunch, or a pork chop. I eat Greek yogurt, or nuts for snack. And sometimes Bugles or Cheese puffs when I really feel like chips since they are lower calorie for the amount you get to eat. Dinner is whatever my family is eating, I just use portion control. Tonight it is spaghetti with meat sauce. I rarely eat after dinner unless I am just dying to, then I decide to keep it something small.

I go to water aerobics 3x a week and add other things in here and there - I'm not that consistent with exercise. I have been going down slowly. I'm at 173 lbs now. What has made a big difference for me is keeping a food diary where I track my calories. I really was clueless before as to how much I was eating! I haven't overly worried about carbs or having lots of fruits and veggies, just making gradual changes there.

I feel like this plan is working for me. How have you done with your weight loss overall? Are you just starting or have you been doing it for awhile?
 
Been losing weight since the 10th of January. I lost about 23 lbs. I like to eat salads because it makes me feel healthy and I know it will help lean me down.
 
Fox, that is great! Way to go! I've been sick the past 3 days and lost 5 lbs. I am at 169.6, but kind of expect it to go back up a few lbs, too bad. I think the weight loss should be my reward for having to be sick!
 
Hi all, I'm starting out at 178.5, looking go down from there, so I guess this is where I belong!
 
I'm at 174.6 I have not weighed myself in months, and I was shocked to see that number on the scale. So this is my club for now, hopefully I'll be in the 160 in a few weeks.
 
Not much recent action in the 170's. What is it, too heavy to think you could be slim but not heavy enough to be motivated? Or the realization that the 170 range is perfectly wonderful for the average woman. I am 178 and think that's a bit high but I think I will be happy when I reach 172. Doing a zigzag diet for seven weeks to get there.
 
Hello everyone im returning after a break and im just starting in the 170's. I am currently 179.8 and looking to shed ten pounds during the august challenge. I want to make every calorie count so i am watching what i eat and how often i eat...im stricter monday-friday and usually am more flexible on the weekends but def not to the point where i sabatoge my weekly results lol! Good luck everyone and let the journey begin!!
 
I left the 180's 8 days ago but wanted to settle first. It took me 52 days to pass through the 180's including a 30 day slump.

I estimate 35 days here, but will accept what ever it takes. Today's weight 178Lb.

Just had my third day weighing in at 179 so it's official. Hoping to go down one more pound and then stay out of those 180's.
 
anyone else in the neighborhood? i said goodbye to the 180's late last year and haven't seen them since. i've been visiting the 160's now and then, but seem to bounce back to this place when activity subsides. lost using intermittent fasting (sometimes up to 20/4) and still maintaining using intermittent fasting.... more like 8/16 up to maybe 10/14 some days now... depends on how active i want to be.
 
Doesn't look like there has been much activity, but you're more than welcome to post. You never know, someone else might join!
 
just a scouting trip to see if the 160 Club might be getting a new member anytime soon.... *sigh* ... doesn't look good.
