Let us know how that goes for you. I have changed the way I eat quite a bit, but there are a lot of traditional "diet" things I don't do. I am not big on fruits and vegetables, so there are only a few I eat. I have egg and toast 3 out of 4 days for breakfast. I may eat a hamburger patty with salad for lunch, or a pork chop. I eat Greek yogurt, or nuts for snack. And sometimes Bugles or Cheese puffs when I really feel like chips since they are lower calorie for the amount you get to eat. Dinner is whatever my family is eating, I just use portion control. Tonight it is spaghetti with meat sauce. I rarely eat after dinner unless I am just dying to, then I decide to keep it something small.
I go to water aerobics 3x a week and add other things in here and there - I'm not that consistent with exercise. I have been going down slowly. I'm at 173 lbs now. What has made a big difference for me is keeping a food diary where I track my calories. I really was clueless before as to how much I was eating! I haven't overly worried about carbs or having lots of fruits and veggies, just making gradual changes there.
