Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy everyone signed on!!! yay!! So how is everyones Friday coming along??

Friday's are my free meal/day so I haven't eaten alot today but I'm not counting calories either.

What is everyones plan for weightloss?? I'm going to try and get back into exercising starting today! I've been focusing on getting my eating under control and I think I've done in during the past few weeks :)

Welcome to the team, Beckie!

My day was pretty good! I didn't overeat OR have any of my "weakness" foods (ice cream is a major one, and my family just bought a huge new gallon. Grrr! I can be strong, though! :))

But on the downside, I didn't exercise. Oh well, I know I will tomorrow. I'm prepared to have a good weekend!


Oh, I've also been trying to look for healthy, relatively fast-to-make recipes so I can cook dinner every night. I would like it to take less than a half hour (up to an hour at most). My family doesn't eat fish. I don't have my list of compiled recipes with me right now, but if you guys want, I will find it and post it here. Cooking really isn't that hard or scary! And it's a great way to have good food without a lot of the sodium and other unhealthy things.

Anyways, I'm off to play Arkham Asylum! (Do any of you have it?!)

Hi all.

Its saturday lunch time for me and I've been doing pretty well so far.

Yesterday I ate:

a piece of wholegrain toast and a boiled egg
a wholegrain bagel with guacamole
a trim cappacino (with nothing on top)

for dinner after my test I did allow myself to have a kebab. I also drank about 2L of water.

I also burnt 600 calories at the gym and did about 2 hours of walking. I also went out on the town last night and had no alcohol but did some dancing!

Today I have have only had water and a lime tea as I slept in but about to eat now. Then im going to do Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and do some cleaning! Hope everyone has a good weekend!
 
You sound like a very busy person, Caro! Good job. It really motivates me to see others doing well! :)
 
Hello all!!

I'm gonna try to talk/partcipate as much as I can. But with not being around all day and everyone posting, I get soo far behind and generally dont knw whats going on anymore. lol.

Today I ate, a bowl of chili. Water. Orange Juice. Arbys. [bad I knw but it was on my 30min lunch break at work n I needed something cheap and easy.] Pizza. [bad I knw too. but eh.] I was waaay too tired after work to cook. And the boyfriend was dead tired so we were like "meh..pop pizza in the oven." good news is, that was the last one and we're both broke, so no more pizza! lol.

Had a good day today. went to the gym and have eaten well.

I want to lose for the team. 10 pounds would be awesome by halloween.

My motivation is picking up and i'm working harder at losing the weight. the weather is getting warmer here in canberra so more motivation to get outside and walk.

Only 2 months to the ball i want to lose for.

I'm so happy to see how well everyone is doing!!! yay!!

Like I said, yesterday was my free day but I'm happy to report that my weight this morning was the same as yesterday which either says my weight yesterday should have been a little lower or I didn't do too much damage yesterday :-D

So I'm all ready now to eat well this week...this morning I had my cereal and vanilla soy milk. A few weeks ago I began eating my cereal from a much smaller bowl which allowed me to only have the recommended amount! It's a small change but it's been helping! My goal today is to drink plenty of water!!! I believe I should be drinking about 8 bottles!

I also do the 30 Day Shred. How long have you been doing it and do you find it helpful?? I LOVE it!!! I did it back in Feb of this year and it worked really well. Not a lot of weight loss but I toned up quite a bit! So I've began doing it again!! :)

My more immediate motivation right now is for this team too!! I really want us to do well :)

My longterm goal is to have about 50lbs gone by May 2010 because I have my fancy graduation from university and I really want to be able to wear a nice dress! :)

Good morning! Just woke up, lol...so I haven't done anything yet.

I think it'd be cool if we made mention of our strengths and weakness (course you don't have to).
I'm not really sure what to consider a strength, but now that I think about it...in terms of exercising, I try my hardest not to give up. If I'm doing a 25 minute exercise video, I don't stop after 12 (even if it hurts like crap!).
I also think competition is one thing that gets me going. Which is why I'm so excited to be a part of this. Another one could be group dedication. I'd hate to be the one to let team/group members down, so in these situations, I always do what needs to be done more so than I would on my own.
Which...leads to weaknesses. I get lazy...or I just "don't care" anymore. I make excuses. Like, "It's ok...I'll just start over next week," or something. I lack self-control when it comes to eating. I love cereal...and if it's in the house, I will eat it! I'm afraid, though, that if I got rid of the cereal, I would just overeat something else, you know? (I do like the idea of eating from a smaller bowl...and if only it would break in half after one bowl!)

Soooo, yeah...I need to get my act together!

PaperAirPlanes, I know how fast threads can move sometime! I usually just jump in on the conversation in the last few posts, but I eventually go back and read the ones I missed. Pizza is one of my weaknesses, too! Yum yum yum. I need to start finding healthier foods to love :p

I'm glad to hear you're having a good day, Cazza! Oh, you live in Australia? I have a friend over there. He says it gets really hot where he is - in the summer, about 40-45 degrees Celsius (that's up to 113 degrees Fahrenheit!)! The ball? That sounds lovely! Have you picked out something to wear yet?

Is vanilla soy milk good, Kino? I like the chocolate kind, but I haven't tried vanilla. Though, I do use just regular milk (I hate drinking it plain, but don't mind it in food such as cereal). The smaller bowl idea is a good one! Aww, what a good goal to have for your graduation! I'm sure you can do it. Do you have any idea of what kind of dress you want to wear? You know, for one graduation (not sure if it was for college or high school) it was the school's tradition for all of the girls to wear pretty white dresses. It was amazing to see them all! They looked like goddesses.

Morning, Beckie! I woke up an hour after you did, haha. That's a good idea to tell each other our weaknesses and strengths. I'll give it a go! Hmmm, strengths are... umm. I don't know! I can't think of any. But I have a ton of weaknesses, mainly eating sweets and being lazy. That's great that you are committed! And don't worry, we'll help you along if you get stuck.

I had a really great day today, so far! I haven't had a good day in such a long time. It feels so nice. I worked out, and am surprised that I've lost a lot of my muscle after not working out for a month or so. It's okay, I'll just have to gain it back. I feel good :)
