Very impressive, 6 lbs in just 4 days, that is quite a start.

That is a great quote, so true, and so relevant to what we are all trying to do.

Your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same.

Meal 2 - 1 yogurt and 1 cup low fat cottage cheese
Meal 3 - snacked about 10 olives
Meal 4 - salad with blue cheese, seafood pasta in a cream sauce, 1 beer and a whiskey sour
Water - 80 oz

Starting weight - 308.6
Current weight - 303.8

Congratulations Bob's wife :) I agree that you should still be able to celebrate (sensibly) or your plan wouldn't have a chance to stick for a lifetime.

That's a good way to think about it, but I don't think I'd call an occasional high calorie meal a cheat. It can be a planned part of your diet. I sure doesn't sound like a binge.

Keep up the good work.

After weighing myself this morning I came in at 301.2 which would make my total loss for the first week 7.4 lbs. I know the losses will slow down as my body adjust the changes and will have to tweak things as I go but so far so good. As for tweaking things I am going to start to add some cardio starting week 2.

In two weeks you'll feel it. In four weeks you'll see it. In eight weeks you'll hear it.
