Weight-Loss
Here I am as well! I am doing well. I don't know if I will have any loss this week. Situation is 50:50. Expecting TOM any second! I will have a full set of bonus points this week.

I just wanted to share that it feels so great at BMI 23.9. I even don't feel chubby anymore. I am happy (and a little hungry) :seeya:

Wulsk - wow - a BMI of 23.9 is brilliant. No wonder you dont feel chubby. And all nicely in time for Valentine's Day.

Well done for getting all the points.

All the girls here know exactly exactly what you mean about TOM. We all get horrible water retention at that time.

Congrats Wulsk! That's fantastic. :hurray:

I could do no coffee for a week--just not forever..lol. The reason I drank so much today is b/c I was so tired, I needed something to wake me up. :D

Btw, I don't really enjoy seeing you all squirm..lol. Maybe just a little..haha.

I don't think I'd deal well with a challenge requiring no coffee or getting enough sleep....I feel blessed if I get more than 6 hours of sleep a night!!!!!

Hows everyone doing so far?
Weigh in tomorrow hey!
Scary stuff!
Don't think my weight has moved at all!
hows everyone else doing though?
Any success?

I was a mojor coffee driner, I drank it when I was tired, when I needed something warm, for comfort - LOL...I drank way to much of it - I gave it up agian about 6 or 7 weeks ago - only drinking green tea cuz I need something lol...It isnt hard to give it up, just a mind over matter thing, I dont deserve to drink it anymore - I love my green tea, whoever the smell of the beans still taunt me - lol

I don't think I'd deal well with a challenge requiring no coffee or getting enough sleep....I feel blessed if I get more than 6 hours of sleep a night!!!!!

You get use to no coffee - no sleep tha tis somethign for me - LOL - Im abt 5 -6 hrs a night if im lucky...i rarely get 8 hrs...

I was getting nervous for the past two days because my weight was up and I thought I wouldn't be able to exercise because I hurt my lower back over the past weekend, but I did exercise yesterday for 65 minutes, so I'm up to 155 min and I'm gonna get the rest of the exercise I need in today. My weight has gone back down as well, so I'm very relieved.

Stress is an evil little troll that is trying to sabatoge my plan :troll:, but I will not let it beat me! Having control of one thing in my life helps me now more than anything.

Hope you're all doing well! Have a Terrific day!

That is the right attitude missblonde:)

So I had some cheese and crackers for a snack - I know the crackers have sodium in then but was very surprized to see that the cheese did as well...This is gonna be quite the challenge for me it seems...LOL

Well assuming that I am gonna make it too next week.

Howdy all~
This week is going well for me. After coming in in the low 190's at the beginning of the week I am back to my low weight, 188.6, from last Friday's weigh-in. Had some TOM issues but they are all sorted out now! LOL
Hoping for a good loss tomorrow.
So far I have both of my 30 minute Strength Trainings in as well as 180 minutes of exercise. After tonight I will have 240 minutes of exercise.
That's not even counting all my swim classes! And I didn't even get on my elliptical this week. To tired!!! LOL
Hope everyone else is having a great week.

Hey everyone. I'm down 1 lb from my last weigh-in, which I am very happy with. I looked at the scale 2 days ago... and I was up 2. 6 lbs! But luckily it wasn't anything that was there to stay. I 'm hoping to lose 1 more lb for tomorrow's weigh in.

Hope everyone is have a good day!

I don't know how some of you get by on just 5-6hrs of sleep per night!! I'd be a walking zombie.

Cerella--why don't you deserve coffee? You deserve all the best in life--just in moderation. :biggrinjester:

Brandy--congrats on being down this week! :hurray:

Bella--glad your TOM issues are over.

MissBlonde--Love your new avi! What a looker you are. :) Yay to not letting stress sabotage your weight loss. Work it off. :biggrinjester:

Good luck with the scales today and tomorrow everyone. I'm down 2.5lbs from my 1lb gain (TOM) last week, so I'm pretty happy about that. :svengo:

hey all, hope everyone's doing well this week! i weighed in this morning and i was very happy! 123.5 , which is down 2.5 pounds from before. I wasn't really weighing in first thing in the morning before so I think this was to my advantage. I am very excited and seeing if maybe I have a better number tomorrow :). Good luck with weigh in today and tomorrow everyone! :)

Glad to see everyone is having such a good week. And with the sodium reduction I'm sure most of us will be experiencing next week, I have a feeling the scale will reflect our hard work again.

It's been a good week for me. I've been mixing up my workouts for a change of pace. I went out and bought The Firm, The Transfirmer Series. Did the first DVD yesterday, wasn't too bad but I used light weights throughout. Found a few good workouts on the Exercise on Demand channel too.

Hope everyone finishes up the week strong.

V.

Omega, thank you for the good words. I know that you put your bet on me for the competition :hat: but just to let you know and the others competitors that I will be misssing some bonus points this week and next week due to social meals and my trip abroad. So get motviated girls EVERYONE HAS a good chance. I am certainly not giving up myself yet!

Bikini, thanks for saluting me :) Congratulations for your loss too! This is such a great feeling to see the scales being on your side again after TOM.
I do love coffee as well very, very much. One of my new year's resolutions was not to drink coffee at evenings and not to drink more than 2 coffees a day. I am doing alright so far but every evening I go to bed with the thought of my morning coffee.

Keepitoff83, congratulations for those 2.5 pounds! You are already a skinny girl. :hurray:

Pinketnies, I will keep my fingers crossed for your weigh in! I hope you will see some nice result!

Cinderelly, I also thought of completely giving up drinking coffee but since there are some reports that it can be actually not so bad for health and because it is so low in calories, I decided I don't have to cut this pleasure as well but only to limit it. Ah, and thanks for being nice with me again. :blush5:

Missblonde, I am so sorry for your back. I see us having similar problems. I also tend to do something to my lower back and it feels often uncomfortable. To touch wood it's not too bad. Please be careful! Getting stressed over my weight loss is also so my thing. No matter how well I'm doing, I have this scare that something will happen in my life and I will grow big again. Maybe it is normal and maybe it is even positive to keep us alert and careful! Glad that you are seeing positive results! Great job!

Bellaryna, good job with your exercises! I was also lucky as you were that my TOM issues have been "sorted out" before the weigh in days. :) Good for us!

Bmohearn, 1 million YAYs for your 1 pound! It's great!

Thekrinse, you sound very fresh and positive. Well done about the good work and I wish success on the scales tomorrow! :)

I am seeing positive although small result this week. I am a little puzzled with this sodium issues though. As I am preparing my food lists in advance for the next day I already know my result for tomorrow and it will be 1015 mg. of sodium. I have discovered odd things while estimating this. I followed the labels of most of my vegetables and the potato, zuccini, cauliflower and broccoli all had very little sodium - only traces for 100 g. in each of them. However I didn't have packed tomatoes and went with the values for a small tomato in SparkPeople which was 8.2 mg :svengo: How is that possible that tomatoes are so much full of sodium comparing to the other vegetables? Or is it a mistake in either Tesco labels or SparkPeople values?
Other shock was that SparkPeople gave me 20 calories for 1 tbsp of paprika (that's a lot for a spice) and 2.3 mg of sodium (I was just about not to bother with the spices and just count them as 0 sodium; good that I checked). Same with turmeric: 1 tbsp: 24 calories, 2.6 mg sodium.
On the other hand according SprakPeople 1 orange has 0 sodium. Is it possible?
I added to my sodium intake the 21 mg which are in my 1.5 litres of water according its label.

Have a great week all of you. May the sodium not be with you!

atrocious gains here (I think my scale really was off last week) plus I have been eating horribley and with a very sick kid this week I have only made it to the gym sporadically. I believe I ahve enough workout points to receive all my bonus points and the other are in teh bag so I'm good on that. Anticipating elimination this week.......... but glad to have made it this far........on the bummer side I completely missed the deadline to get my total body challenge pictures in--dang!

Cerella--why don't you deserve coffee? You deserve all the best in life--just in moderation. :biggrinjester:

I usually am a walkin zombie - Im always tired to begin with and usually Im more tired than usual - this is why I started trying to go to bed earlier...

It is that I feel I dont deserve coffee - I love coffee really really really do but I drank it liek it was going outta style it was my caffine supply and the more I drank of it the worse it made me feel - especially when I do the overnights...
As I get more focused - I start cutting more out to get healthier...I feel alot better and healthier when Im not drinking coffee

Cinderelly, I also thought of completely giving up drinking coffee but since there are some reports that it can be actually not so bad for health and because it is so low in calories, I decided I don't have to cut this pleasure as well but only to limit it. Your pretty easy to be nice to - ha ha ha - as far as the coffee I kinda addressed it up more in the beginning of my post...I feel healthier wihtout it...usually ya know im serious with my weight loss journey when I cut out coffee...and Im drinkin only green tea and water and some milk but ya know...i really enjoy the green tea and just feel alot better over all:)

Oh right the sodium - ya this will be fun - ha ha ha...i looked at the cheese last night and say it had sodium - this will be my biggest challenege yet.

Cinderelly, I have to agree with you on the coffee making you feel horrible. I was never a coffee drinker expect for the 1 cup of espresso I'd have after Sunday dinner. But then I started having a few cups of espresso after dinner pretty regularly during the week as well. The day after I'd be dragging myself. I stopped drinking it during the week and perked right back up.

I was very happy with my weigh-in this morning. Down 3.4 lbs for the week. My legs are hurting though from that Biggest Loser Cardio Max workout I did yesterday morning. Man does he work your legs.

I'm going out to dinner tonight so between breakfast and lunch I've planned out about 600mg of sodium leaving me with 1,900 for dinner. We're going out to a mexican resturant tonight but I should be able to find fish on the menu. I looked up blackened fish on sparkspeople.com and it had about 700mg of sodium. So something like that and some veggies and I should be fine.

I really caused a lot of debate by my coffee quip. I was actually joking as I havent drank coffee since I was about 3 years of age. Doing without coffee would be one challenge bonus that would be easy for me.

Weight loss can be tricky for me - but I am pleased to report that I did manage to lose some weight this week. Before weighing I did my 6 mile walk and had a keep fit class that was an hour of aerobics. My weight has returned to my low-weight of 27th January! :hurray:

Good luck at the scales everyone!

I started counting my sodium two days early "for fun". Bananas seem to be brilliant as far as sodium goes. My only high sodium food is baked beans - but they still fit nicely inside my allowance. I do not anticipate any problems with this bonus as I never eat out and like a very repetitive diet.

I think that actually I must be very sensitive to sodium. I weigh every day and had axed foods that caused me to regularly gain weight. I axed cheese from my diet long ago for this reason. I had also been aware that I gained when using a spicy marinade. I now realise that both these foodstuffs can have a high sodium content.

I went out and bought The Firm, The Transfirmer Series. Did the first DVD yesterday, wasn't too bad but I used light weights throughout. Found a few good workouts on the Exercise on Demand channel too.

I'm so excited to finally see someone mention the FIRM!!! These are the only workouts I do. I have the original workouts that they came out with from the 90's - the music is old, the style is old, but they are definitely the best workouts. My mom got me hooked on them a long time ago when I was in college..and they work the best for me. I alternate them with the Transfirmer series and the series right before that, don't know the exact name...but they are great workouts..they really do show results..so stick with them! They're nice too because you have the option to increase the weights when you get stronger. Alternating them allows me to keep variety in my workouts..and I never get sick of them!

I was surprised to see a loss this morning on the scale..even though it was a pound because I was up quite a few mid-week and didn't get my usual amount of exercise in.

Bikinibound - thank you for the compliment on the avi - I like it too, I took the picture recently, and its the first picture I've seen of myself in a long time that I actually think I look nice. I've gone through the past year and half hating every picture I've seen of myself..and since I've lost some weight in my face, its nice to say that I'm getting "my smile" back..hehe

Wulsk - I always love reading your posts - we have so much in common - too bad you're not closer..we could hang out sister!

Well, good luck to everyone for eliminations...I'm nervous about going this week, hopefully it won't happen.

Have a fabulous day!:seeya:
