Weight-Loss Biggest Loser Show Watch along Challenge Starting 01/19/10

Weight-Loss
Good job everyone! White Team, that's insane, WTG!

Alright, now that we have a yellow line, we all really need to kick into gear. Let's see some huge numbers next week!

I say we start with next weeks weigh in to start bumping players that fall below the yellow line to a second chance bracket.

Perhaps call it "Yellow Liner Re-Play Team?"

Does that sound ok?

Also, for people who just don't weigh in 2 weeks in a row, they will be formally eliminated due to inactivity and be out of the challenge all together.

Players must weigh in timely to avoid getting a 'zero' and falling below the yellow line. (Tuesday by 5pm Pacific Standard Time)

What do you all think?

Once an individual falls below the yellow line, her or she gets bumped to the replay group?

That will sure shake things up!!

Since it's going on percentage loss I don't think how much you have to lose comes into it. I agree that something must be done to shake things up. I think people who don't post at all all week and don't post on weigh in day should get some penalty though I'm not sure what that should be.

Yay for all of us and well done Isabel!

So what does it mean for one if they end up in the replay group? Does it mean if they fall below the lellow line again they get eliminated?

The only way to get eliminated is to miss 2 (or more) weigh ins.

We are basically moving all the people who aren't really playing into a 'smallest loser' group to make way and step up the competition for the 'biggest loser' group.

I think that sounds good. At first I wasn't sure what to think because I thought you were talking about eliminating people who were trying, and posting, but just not seeing much loss and I wasn't really for that. But eliminating people who don't post and moving the "smallest losers" to another group works.

One question: If you get moved to the other group, is there any way to get back into the main group? Let's say I have a bad week, gain 2 pounds and fall under the yellow line. But I posted my update on time and everything. Then the next week I have a 2% weight loss. Do I get moved back?

Maybe the biggest of the smallest losers can get moved back? Or maybe only if they are over a certain % loss? Or both. (#1 from the small group gets moved back IF they had over 1% loss, for example) Just a thought. Of course, that would have people going back and forth so it would probably make more work for you.

Sorry for the late post. Was in the ER yesterday for dehydration. Still feel like my body got thrown under a bus. OUCH! Current weight (even with 2 liters of saline pumped in) 213.2

Tuesdays weigh in: 109.0kg (240.3 lb)

Sorry for being late to post guys :(

Will pick up to pace again.

Holy crap, that cheat costed me my first place position and nearly dropped me below the yellow line!!:ack2:

I like the yellow line story - it will force us to be more disciplined.

Watch this space - I've been doing well so far, so I'm planning on showing a big loss next week. Off to my gyming session!

Well done to everybody that has been losing so nicely!!!

K that sounds great, definately gonna boost my motivation

Hey everyone! I completely forgot to post that I was going away this week for a business trip and wouldn't be on the board. Which is good, because I have no weight loss to report this week. The foods at my hotel are just too good!

Glad to see the yellow line put into play...I think it will make it a little more exciting. I know I have personally been having a rough week this week. So by seeing that, I'm hoping for some motivation.

Sorry to hear whiskeytangofox didn't weigh in, hope all is well with her.

If I focus on just losing 1-2lbs per week I start to feel confident. Then with spring/summer fastly approaching and I think of where I wanted to be by this time of year and I'm not as close to my goal as I had hoped, it really gets me down. Plus I have P.M.S. this week so I am a little emotional that's for sure.

Hey glad you didn't drop out Frances! Hope to see a loss next week!!

I think MJ had some questions for you to answer? I think you may have gotten confused on your last weigh in and she wanted you to confirm your weight. Maybe take a look back and respond just so we are clear going forward. Glad to have you back!

How's everyone getting on? I'm drowning here with my 4L water a day programme. Saw a bit of loss on the scales but after being sick for a week and no gym it could be muscle! Hard earned muscle!

Hope you're all doing what you have to do to see a loss here next week!

20to10 - Wow, 4L a day? I have to pee too much as it is - if I attempted to up my water I would never do anything else, LOL!

This week is not good for me with moving, having no kitchen so eating out A LOT. Moving is hard work, but not enough with the crap I've been eating... not looking forward to Tuesday's weigh-in.

Sneaky weigh in this morning. There is some benefit to having a week long migraine. Let's hope this will stay off until Tuesday's weigh in day! :) I am still a size 16!

23/03/2010 88.72kg/195.6lbs
28/03/2010 87.5kg/192.9lbs (-1.22kg/2.7lbs) pending weigh in on Tuesday 1.38% Thought it would be more. 2.7lbs is the most I've lost in AAAGES. Maybe (fingers crossed) this plateau is over and it's not just that I lost a lot of water weight from being sick and muscle from not working out.

See you all on Tuesday!
