Big T & MMW: To Keep Lean & Stay Mean ;)

Just checking in on you ****s.:p

Thanks amigo...we were just about to start a gangbang.

Just done the same run as yesterday, recorded another 400 calories. This time i did it without stopping, yesterday i had to stop for 30 seconds :D However i did slow the pace slightly.

Im going to record my cardio by calories expelled, not by time or intensity. I love my heart monitor, i want to end up doing runs that burn like 1000 calories. Im not ready for that yet, id have heart attack :p

I have a question on your calorie approximator on the device you are depending on to calculate your calories.

Does this device allow for your personal particulars? Such as weight, hgt, and age? If does not, then it is an inaccurate approximation of your calorie burning projections, because most (that do not allow for personal variables) go off some averages. Are you average, BigT?

:)

;)

Best wishes as always,

Chillen

Yea i know Chill its more of an approximation. I doubt its too far out as it works off your heart rate. But it just gives me an idea of what im burning ;)

Cheers for dropping in Chillen :)

My point is this, BigT:

Most cardio devices on bikes, etc, approximate calories burned on averages such as a 150 to 160 pound---PERSON (no regard to whether male or female, and other personal particulars). Which in your case can be extremely in accurate, since you are MALE, over 150 pounds, etc, etc., and do not consider the intensity variables involved, as well. The ones that allow ALL or most of personal variables are much more accurate.

Just a thought to throw out at cha'

Best wishes

Hmmmm, good point. You know, someone at work gave me it, he's an experienced distance runner. It might even allow me to input weight/height, i haven't really looked LOL. Ill give it a check.

I was just concerned that you were "potentially" over/under approximating your calories. If you were, and results were not quite where you want, and you are left frustrated, you will possibly not know where to look, thinking that the rough estimate was accurate and begin tweaking things you may not need to. This way, you can at least have a closer and more accurate approximation to work from, when things go wrong, or turn out to be correct.

The tweakable data is only as good as the quality data it is tweaked from.

Been trying to post my workouts at the weekend but my f**king internet at home is f**ked and it crashes when i try posting something long.

Anyway, Sat i got a DL PR :D 396lbs!! I knew i could do it, and it was fairly comfortable really. I can definately DL over 400lbs. I think next its going to have to be 190kg (418lbs)

Deadlifts
1x8 (132lbs)
1x8 (220lbs)
1x5 (308lbs)
1x3 (352lbs)
1x1 (396lbs)

This took it out of me though. The rest of the workout included various rows, pullups, and some forearm isolation work. Cant be bothered to type it out.

Yesterday i went for a 4 mile run as well.

Cheers all of you! I doooo appreciate the kind words :D

Gonna try the 20 rep squat tomorrow. Going to give 220lbs a go, im sh1tting myself :D

Has anybody tried the bodybuilding.com forum on this site? Typhon told me about it and iv just registered, its not bad actually.

I've done them at 220 before; you just need to keep telling yourself while you're doing them that your body is trying to trick you into giving up because it's never done it before, 20 rep squats is a very psychological thing. If you just focus on the next one rep to keep the bar moving.

If you really want to **** your legs up, try doing split squats in between sets. I remember when Tony made me do a squats/split squats combo a year or two ago; I fealt like crying at about half way. I really need to start doing that again

Yea i can see me crying doing that LOL, it is painful but i love it. I might do that, we'll see.
