That's a bummer to hear that you are still having back issues. I know I've mentioned before to you that I couldn't squat or DL for several months once because my back just had some "tweak" in it and any kinda pressure on the spine would not do me well.

Try Kraken's stretches, I know lots of stretches my doc wanted me to do, and he said they helped. My back ended up getting better before I needed to stress. One day I just DL-ed, felt great, got back into squatting, never looked back since. When I squat and DL, sometimes I feel a little pinchy strange feelin in my lower back, but it doesn't hurt, and doesn't prevent me from going as heavy as possible.
 
Yesterday was good fun, can't wait to get back in tonight.

Hmmm, even with Kraken's Method, I am kinda stuck on these. I mean, I made great progress for 2-3 weeks, but kinda stalled out. I guess it was unreasonable to think I was going to add 1-2 pullups every session though.

First time doing a set at 215, it was rough, but they always are when I haven't done them before. Hell, I remember a couple months back when 175 was rough and now I am finishing with a set of 10 at 175!

After 2 sets of 150, I thought, hell I can do 160, so I grabbed the 80 lb DBs, and couldn't even get em up. Hahah, oh well, the 75 lb-ers felt easy, so hopefully next week I'll step it up.

I havent' had lower back pain in quite a few years now. The one time I tweaked my back doing DL's for the first time I stretched it out and it was all good after about a week.

Good stuff, I am pleased. What I am not so pleased about is it's getting harder to fit into my size 34 pants. It's not really a big deal except that I'll be damned if I have to buy another couple pairs, in fact, there's no ****ing way. So I guess I am limited by my pants fitting. :D

Right ok, you all probably think im just chatting sh1t but i didnt do MMA again!!!! Its like fate doesnt want us to go!

Today we went to the right place and waited half hour but nobody turned up!!! So we went to the gym to have a workout instead. We found out thats theres a BB comp on today so the people who run the MMA went there and a lot of people from the gym did. SO DEFINATELY NEXT WEEK LOL!!!!!!! Its a promise!!!

Weve still to attempt a 100kg press yet (220lbs). I think its more realistic to attempt a 90kg lift though (198lbs) first. Because i know im gonna fail at 220.

Get in some good DL work man, just take care of yourself. Sounds like you are hurtin, consider taking a couple sessions off to heal up? Or is it more than that? Maybe you need to see someone about it?

Thanks man! I was pleased with them, I love me some DL-ing. It was a great workout, everything flowed nicely, I was just on a roll. Good times.
 
Not happy at all. I can see me having to stop squats and deads.

Back feels f**ked, deadlifts feel so unnatural and uncomfortable i dont know whats wrong.

Knee's still hurt with pressure applied, meaning squats definately have to be on the menu.

So the 2 biggest/best exercises, happen to be the one's i cant do. Im pissed off to f**k.

Ok my mind just wasnt on it. Im really pissed off, i feel like a cripple. Every joint seems to f**king hurt.

My problems as of late include:

-Lower back pain/ upper back pain when deadlifting.
-Lower back pain and f**ked up knees when squatting.
-Also iv started noticing a slight pain in my left elbow when pressing.

A reason that iv thought of is, that i have a skin condition called Psoriasis which i got last year.

Reading up on it, i know that theres a possibility that you can get Psoriasis Arthritis, which im hoping i dont get! But i dont have the known symptoms which are swolled joints and stiffness.

Ok, enough complaining :D Im just guttered thats all. Iv only been lifting a year n half i dont need these problems.

If i see no sign of improvment, ill go see the doc.

Going to stop DL's altogether for now :(
Going to stop squatting and concentrate on lunges instead.

Ill keep this up untill all pain has gone. (lets hope)

damn dude you must have really ****ed up your back. Did you try the stretches I told you about?

doing lunges is going to tear your knees up even more as well. Maybe you should talk to a doc.

I keep forgetting to look up the stretches when im at home! I keep meaning to do it. Im definately going to try them tonight.

And yea, you right, lunges will probaby make it worse. I just dont wanna neglect my legs in any way!
 
Crap dude, that sounds really bad. When I was having back issues for a few months last year, I stuck to split squats, static lunges, and walking lunges and I was fine, still making gains. But, as Krak said, your knees would likely be in pain. You got a double whammy, back and knees at the same time!

Get better man, whatever it takes. I'm like most guys, I hate the doc and won't go until it's absolutely necessary, but it sounds like you are getting close to that point.
