Slacked a bit last week, only went to the gym 3 times, didnt eat the best, and got drunk 2 nights instead of my one. Time to move on anyway.

Fridays workout was very VERY short as i didnt have time. All i did was:

Squats
1x10 (132lbs)
1x8 (220lbs)
1x5 (264lbs)
1x6 (220lbs)

Iv got a BIG problem, my lower back is starting to be in agony after doing squats lately. I dont know why at all. It was f**king killing me.

BB Lunges
1x10 (88lbs)
1x4 (132lbs) Balance was a problem here.
1x8 (88lbs)

This further hurt my lower back, im really wondering why the f**k it hurts. Im sure my forms ok enough.

Finshed short workout with 5 mins on the step machine.
 
Damn dude, you definitely don't want to play around with your back. You might be best served getting it checked out. Although when my back was giving me problems, I just didn't put any strain on it for a long while, and everything got better. Obviously, that prolly wasn't the smartest way to go about it...that bums me out to hear though man.

Here was my Friday workout...nothin' special really, got a little more volume on squats.

LOL, was it that whisky you was drinking. Nice workout, loving the squats arent you ;) You seem to be progressing on them.

Im doing legs again tonight to give them a proper workout, so i might miss out squats and just do lunges tonight. Ill also check how my back plays up. Fingers crossed it doesnt hurt.
 
Haha, it actually was some vodka Friday, and beer Sat. It was camping on Friday, then free beer at the baseball game Saturday, things got a little nuts. Ughhh...

Yeah man, I'm getting into squats. Did ATG for my last set of 10 x 135, those are quite different, very exhausting, might try to start doing those more .

I'll be pulling for ya tonight man. I do know that when my back was not in good shape, I would substitute split squats for regular squats, they were much easier on my back. And I made some nice gains with them...basically just unilateral leg work...
 
Todays session was ok actually. Felt much better, no back pain :D

Good workout! We're about the same on pullups, I can pretty much do 3 good ones for 2 or 3 sets. I wish I could do more...

I had a good workout today, my knees are getting bruised as crap from deads though. Made a thread in the weight lifting forum to get advice...freakin hurts.

My butt ass gym doesn't even have 65 lb DBs, which is my next step up, so I had to go to BB. It's all good though, as I averaged 67.5 lbs per side for those last 3 sets. I spose BB should be slightly better though, since both arms are being used for stability and whatnot. I can't wait to be able to grab 70 lb DBs and press them ****s.

Weight was at 201, but I usually drop down a couple pounds after I drop water weight from booze, and **** out the crap I ate during the weekend. :D Either way, around 200 is right where I wanna be, so long as I keep progressing, and gaining a bit every week.
 
Nice workout MMW, your similar to me at incline pressing. As for the knee bruising im not sure how that has happened.

And so your saying the next DB up is 70lbs? Big jump, but get it f**ing pressed :D

Im considering starting my first set tonight with 77lbs of DB, but im not sure if im being to ambitious, as last time i managed 6 reps with 71.5lbs, so im still deciding.

Keep up the work lad. Youll be as heavy as me soon ;)
 
Yeah, we do have similar incline pressing numbers. Well, I much prefer using DBs, just like the whole stabilizer muscle inclusion, and I won't kill myself if I fail on a last rep. Since my gym doesn't have the 65s, I'll just have to try out the 70s and work my way up to full sets of 5 with em.

Dude, try the 77 pounders tonight. Ya know, do a couple sets with the 71.5 lbs, if you are feeling good, just give it a shot. I bet you'll surprise yourself.
 
Im glad you told me to go for the 77lbs MMW, because i was having second thoughts. And yea i did suprise myself!!! :) Althought bad news is iv hurt my arm a little.

Was so pleased with this, iv progressed a lot just from last session. I got the same amount of reps with 154 (77lb DB's) as i did with 143's last time.

On the down side though iv hurt my right arm, right on the joint. Dont know whether iv strained it or something doing them presses. I struggled the rest of the session.

Wanted to do biceps instead of triceps, but my arm was killing me, and it put too much strain on it. I also wanted to do some dips and pushups but couldnt either. I just hope its ok as soon as possible.
 
Awesome job on the presses man! I knew you could get that done. Sucks that you tweaked your arm, hopefully it is nothing more than a little strain that will heal up in a couple days. Keep me posted on it.

Nice squatting lad, im similar as in i always go ATG with the 132lbs set that i do, but when i go heavier i just go parallel.

Thanks friend. Yeah the ATG is fun to do on that last set. Oh man, I can't wait to be popping out 225 x 5...I was thinking that very thing yesterday. I can't wait to get there!
 
Well, somehow I have ****ed up my tailbone. It hurts to just sit, and lucky for me, I sit for 8 hours a day at work. The little bitch is bruised or something, and I was sooo happy to see that it can sometimes be fractured easily, yay! Also, takes "several weeks" to fully heal. Wonderful. I didn't even fall or do anything to it...just started on Monday and I believe it's getting worse.

I'm hopin a week is all it takes. No worries, I was still able to hit the gym with no probs. Plus, I'll get my lovely woman (read that Tony :D) to give me a nice lower back and butt massage, hahaha.
