Weight-Loss Beer

Weight-Loss
OMG jager bombs are the shit. I have to be pretty messed up to do them though

Alcohol can not be stored as fat, so really you wont gain weight from drinking beer (try a low carb beer), but just be careful of what you EAT when your drinking.

What you just said was total nonsense. Yeah alcohol doesnt BECOME fat, nothing does. But drinking beer will increase your total caloric intake for the day, and if you end up in calorie surplus (more calories in, than out) then you'll most definately store bodyfat.

Why would you recommend a low carb beer if beer can't ultimately result in body fat?

Coors? Miller? Keystone? Piss on all of that crap, it's for amateurs. :)

You guys need to graduate up to microbrews. The taste will actually be good and the alcohol content is 2-3 times the amount of those cheap beers. Try some fine Colorado ale sometime. Breckenridge Brewery is my favorite. It's more expensive at about $9 a six pack, but you end up drinking alot less, yet you also end up more satisfied. Any IPA is going to be good once you get used to the additional hops. American Pale Ale's are great as well and usually aren't quite as hoppy. Here's my favorites:

I am pretty sure that if you check the bible, seeing someone post this as fact on an internet forum is a sign that one of the seven seals holding satan in hell has broken.

Ok I amnot sure but when I went camping I had like 6 bud selects(which by the way has no after taste I love the slim looking black can lol)and it has only like 97 cals but the scale showed no gain for me we, grilled out chicken and I had corn on the cob and plain baked potatoe to.So my exsperience no weight gain just control whatcha eat while you drink, lol besides don't know about you but I must of peed like 32 times that day haha,Tammy

:iagree:OMG tell me about it this kids house only had one bathroom and there was like +30 plus people all having to pee every 5min. Oh it was horrible. Me and my friend ended up taking a trip into the woods a good 3 times. lol which wasnt to fun.

6 bud selects... which by the way has no after taste

That's because it has no taste in the first place. :)

At less than 600 calories, you would have had to drink 6 times that amount of calories to gain a pound. The problem comes when you do that on a regular basis. One experience of consuming less than 600 calories is hardly anything to base an opinion on.

:smilielol5: Yeah, next we're gonna read that drinking the blood of the unborn is better than chocolate (with less calories).

Ungh... how can ANYONE drink Keystone? Or Natty? I'm in a sorority... so beer is a staple. I can't drink beer. Actually it's one of my New Years resolutions to train myself to get it down and stop being a pansy about it. I've always been a liquor kind of girl, even if it means taking shots of the nastiest cheapest vodka... I'd rather do that than drink a beer! Haha.

Of course, since I haven't been back to school yet... I don't know exactly how this is going to fit into my weight loss plan... but not to worry. I don't have the money to spend on booze and I really don't think I'll be drinking beer unless I'm forced to funnel it. :)

Sorry haha I guess I kind of went off on a tangent but I could not resist!

Fitting them into my day is the best way to approach it, I concur. The low-carb beer I have is beautiful, I used to drink it previously before my weight loss attempt without even realizing it was a low-carb beer!

However, it didn't fit into my plan tonight and thus I drank water the entire time. Oh, and a sip of wine.

there's no rule that says you have to like beer... or that it's a requirement for college graduation... Drinking is pretty much empty calories... so if you don't enjoy it - don't waste 'em - instead take pictures and blackmail and make fun of the drunken antics of others :)

I guess it's all moderation. All I know is it doesn't take 2 beers to get me drunk, it takes around 10 and that sucks. So I had to switch to Gin :(

Hmmmmmm... Well, we've been talking about beer for a minute now...

Since we're on the alcohol subject, I wonder just how fattening vodka is? I really don't like beer much, but I like to drink a little on the weekends now and then, and it's usually vodka I like.

I started drinking it with sugar-free Kool-Aid and Crystal Light long ago.

Does vodka itself contain a lot of calories?

I've tried to find out, and I have seen some sources call vodka "liquid fat" and others say that it's the mixers/chasers that cause you to pack on the pounds?

Which one of these is correct?

vodka has 65 calories an ounce (and for carb carers -no carbs) so depending on how heavy handed the bartender is -is how calorie heavy the drink is... a standard shot is 1 1/2 ounces -but bartenders rarely use a standard shot...

The mixers and chasers are usually sugar loaded and lots of calories...

The real problem with alcohol is the bad choices that follow drinking - certain foods tend to look a lot more tempting after a few drinks that you wouldn't have looked at before the drinks...

I've heard people say that booze goes right to fat but I'mnot sure I buy that it's total calories as far as I'm concerned...
