Beagle's New Journal

Well it still looks like winter, Elizab3th, so I don't really believe it :p But hey at least its decently warm today.

So I maintained my weight this week, still at 190. I can't say I'm really surprised - I don't doubt I *had* lost weight, but then Saturday totally ruined it for me. I'll take my measurements for comparison after my shower.

BTW I got in 20 minutes of good hard biking last night before bed. I was going to do a workout, but honestly, I just didn't feel like thinking about what I was doing, so I turned on some downloaded TV shows (Clone High) and biked mindlessly. I still got a good sweat going, so I figure its just as good.
 
Not much difference in measurements either. I lost 1cm of my waist, that's about it. Next week will be better! I'll be just as good as I was last week, but without the giant dinner at the end ;)

I'm considering doing the South Beach diet again for a short while. It has sound roots, and not just cutting out carbs for the hell of it, but rather cutting them out for a couple of weeks to renormalize insulin production and then only eating the "good" carbs afterwards. Not to mention last time I went on it I lost like 20lbs in a month. Maybe I'll go carb-free grocery shopping this week to start next week. Just a thought.

Anyways, my food for the day wasn't really the best quality, but within caloric limits.

- 2 slices leftover veggie pizza - 400
- apple cinnamon muffin - 150
- toast - 150
- kraft dinner - 300
- weiners - 150
Total: 1150

I'll probably get hungry again later and have more toast, which would take me up to 1300 even.

I plan on biking again before bed. Not because I feel mentally lazy, but because I seem to have strained by back pretty bad shovelling yesterday, and still want to get *some* exercise tonight, but I don't think it would be a good idea to be hopping all over the place and throwing punches and kicks. My goal for this week is to get at least 20 minutes of proper exercise in at least five nights this week.

Good morning everyone (almost afternoon).

I'm staying home from school today, I feel really achey all over. Not so much in my back anymore (though it does ache a little), so I guess that's doing better. Ish.

I haven't felt like cooking today either, so for breakfast I'm having a rice krispie square and an orange. About 150 between them.

You know its kind of funny. Rice krispie squares, which I've always considered to be sugarry and bad for you and the whole bit, only have 90 calories a peice. Then you look at all the super healthy granola bars, and they're all at least 150. Though I suppose the granola bars have more fiber in them so you get more out of them.

In any case, I'm going to go be a lump on the couch for a bit. As soon as I go take some extra strength advils. I'll probably work some more on the two final projects I need to get done.

after a good day of rest I'm starting to feel better. Still pretty blech, but not bad enough to stay home from work. Just as well since I don't have any sick days accrued.

For lunch I had found another michelina's in the freezer, and some toast, so about 350 together, and then later I had a bun to snack on, about 150. Add on my 150 breakfast I'm sitting at 650. Guess I can have a good dinner tonight, though I don't know what to get since I'm eating at the foodcourt and my options are generally a)garbage, or b) salad. Neither is too appealing right now :(

Hey Liz, just so you know, I haven't missed your post, but I don't log into my messengers very often so I haven't had a chance to add you yet!

As far as the food court, I had totally forgotten that there's a Quizno's a couple blocks away! So I treated myself to a small turkey ranch sub and cup of broccoli soup. Mmmm, I love that stuff :D I'm sure between the two of them they took up the rest of my 750 calories, but it was soooo worth it.

They don't put veggies on your sub at Quizno's! They didn't last time... Well, I've been holding a grudge with them for 4 years haha.. naw add me whenever I actually gave up on that about 10 minutes after I posted you, because MSN just drives me nuts sometimes... haha. I overdid it back in high school - I was an MSN nut. I hope you're feeling better though. Sometimes a nice long sleep is all it takes :) Happy Hump DAY! :D

Breakfast today: 2 fried eggs and toast - 400. Glass of orange juice - 100.

I imagine I'll get a shake for lunch around 3ish, and then I have 600 calories or so for dinner. I think I have one more michelina's I can have if I'm not that hungry.
 
good ol michelinas! nice price too! I dont care all that much for many kinds of quickie meals, but they do have a few good ens..

Hey Dana, you're back! I guess I better go check in on your journal again to get all the good stories!

Got the shake as planned (mm love it so much!), now I'm just waiting for my last class to start in about half an hour. I did get a good jump on the registration rush for next year though! Ran into a couple of hitches though. One is that one of the courses I wanted is out of faculty (its an education course and I'm in sociology), so I have to wait until August to let all the education students register in it first and if there's still room left *then* I can get in. The other hitch was that a class was cancelled, and all the other sessions for the course conflict with the rest of my schedule. I had it so beautifully planned out too, now I gotta find another course to fit in there!

I know, I'm such a dork, registering for class so far in advance. But I can't stand waiting until the last minute for registrations because then all the good classes are filled up by people like me! And then I end up taking a bunch of classes that I'm really not interested in just for the sake of filling up my credit requirements. Bleh.
