Beagle's New Journal

Final Calorie Count for the day:
- cottage cheese and apple: 200
- half a gross protein bar: 150
- michelinas: 250
- blizzard: 250
- turkey sandwich on whole wheat: 300
- kaiser bun: 150
TOTAL: 1300

Phew, just barely made it! I was *this* close to getting a frozen yogurt cup from the convenience store earlier today and almost had myself convinced because I forgot I already had the blizzard today! Good thing I didn't go!

I'm going to give my Turbo Jam a try tonight, though I'm still a little sore, but only slightly.

Tomorrow I will have to be extra careful because I'm going out for lunch and then its my future-mother-in-laws birthday, and I'm not sure what she's making.

I like Michelinas too! great lasagna when Im in the mood for it! Gotta admit its hard to find anything really tasty out there of the frozen variety....Amys is my favorite tho, hands down!

good luck on tomorrow's lunch!

I would not be surprised. Just a bunch of suits in a big board room meeting talking:
"Hey people wanting to get healthy don't eat chocolate bars!"
"We need to fix that"
"What if we took varying combinations of dirt and cardboard and called it healthy?"
"Brilliant! Here, have a bajillion dollar bonus!"
HAHAHAHA!!!!:D :D

LMAO!!! I can see it now!!!! LOL Like little kids with mud pies!!! LOL

How did the turbo Jam session go? Glad you didn't give in to that frozen yogurt :D Good job! :) Have fun at your lunch tomorrow. Keep up the great work :D

The turbo jam last night was really toned down, my muscles were all a little sore still I didn't want to strain them even more. Barely broke a sweat at all, I don't think it did me much good.

Today was my window painting job! I can't really say it was "fun", but I enjoyed it a lot. Its the kind of work that keeps your body busy but not really your mind except at short intervals, so I had lots of time to just think to myself. Took a lot longer than I thought it would though, it was 5 and a half hours, and I expected it to take maybe 3 or 4. But, I made $150 from it! :D I have pictures on my digital camera but I havne't uploaded them yet. I'll post them here when I have.

Food for today:
- bacon and eggs from A&W: 500
- a couple glasses of diet pepsi while I worked: 0
- spaghetti and meat sauce: 500
- garlic bread: 150
- caesar salad: 150
Total: 1300

Shouldn't have had so much spaghetti but holy smokes I was hungry, I didn't get a chance to eat between 10 and 7, and was so busy I didn't even notice I was hungry until I got home!

There's the photos! They didn't take very well because I had the sun right behind me, that was as little reflection as I was gonna get :(

Got a 20 minute Turbo Jam in tonight, btw.

lol totally true!!! I think I've found one or two good protein bars... but hey, if ya need protein, but hate the bars, you should try the instone puddings- 100cals, no sugars, and 20g of protein per container, and they taste good to:) Besides, if Sly made it, its gotta be good, right?? lol

Yeah! Go Eskimos! Haha - Nice ... I bet you were cold - actually it wasn't too bad out today... it looks pretty good! I have to find this Turbo Jam your talkin' about. Good thing you got yours in today! Hope you have an awesome Monday!

LOL, no I painted them from the inside, much warmer there, and also then the paint is less likely to get scraped off by jackasses walking by or rained on by the weather.

I had to order my Turbo Jam DVDs over the internet (, I don't think they have them in stores here. Or at least, I haven't seen them.

Ahhh... I'm not a big online buyer of things... plus I like to shop - it's great exercise if you can do it alone and keep up a good pace. But I hate to try on clothes.. so really - I hate to shop. Hmmm... I gotta think about this one.

Great Job on the window Bailey :D Glad you did it inside so as not to freeze yourself :) Hope you have a great day - Keep up the great work :D

Good Morning Bailey!!! Happy Monday to you! :D
Awesome job on those windows..they kick some arse girl!! :) Bravo!! Hey hope you have a great week!!

Weigh-in results: 190. Lost 1 pound which is good, but the deal was I had to lose 2 pounds to get chinese food :( Guess I'll just have to make the same deal to myself for next week! I bet if I could just stop snacking after dinner I would be able to do it. That will be my real goal for the week: no after-dinner snacks! Not even after-work snacks! If I have calories left over after dinner, I don't have to use them, I can just leave them be, especially if I'm not actually hungry!

Today's Plan: I'm going to go make an egg-white omelette (200), and I will get another smoothie for lunch from the university (250). When I get home I'll have a michelina's (200-300), and can still have room for a good dinner!

oh man, I have made the worst omelette ever! I mean, it tastes good but it looks terrible, its falling apart, the egg ripped all over when I tried to fold it and the cheese didn't melt at all! This seems to happen fairly often when I try to make omelettes, ever since I switched to eggwhites... I wonder if the two are related? maybe I should just stick to scrambled whites, pretty hard to mess those up ;)

Hmm are you sure to mix up your egg whites before you toss them in the pan? :) Just at hought that it might be making it more difficult. Of course I'm used to making egg-white omelets only, since I found after doing that for so long.. I don't care for ones with yolk in them that much! :)

Your plan for the day sounds great..and don't worry you'll get that other pound outta here! :) Maybe set a time limit during the evening in which you can't eat past. Say..8pm or something :) Just a thought!

I am using those store-bought egg whites, and just pouring them right into the pan... should I be beating them first? I am really retarded about things like that when cooking. I should take a Cooking for Dummies course or something :p

So far so good on the day's plan! Haven't snacked once, though I almost stopped on the way home for a frozen yogurt. I'll have to make sure to plan it in sometime this week :)

Oh and I measured myself today to compare to measurements I took when I first started Turbo Jam. I've lost a total of 14cm - 3 off the chest, 4 off the waist, 3 off the hips and 2 each off each thigh. For those who prefer inches, its like a 6 inch loss. Because of this, I've decided to start doing my weekly measurements in centimeters, because those ones I've been doing in inches, and rounding, which shows very little improvement. I like cm because it doesn't take as much to make a single unit of improvement :p

Hey - I think you did great! Your day sounds good - wish I could eat chinese food too! Anyways I have to hold off on everything until the 20th - because then I have to blow it all... it's my boyfriend's birthday - what else could I do? Way to lose all those inches, I really like your idea - I think I might have to start that too! Haha.

hehe, such a good idea to "save up" calories for one big blow-out... I should do the same, since I'm going out for dinner on saturday too! Smart thinkin' there!

So, since my food for today is already low (I'm at 950 for today so far after a bowl of cottage cheese and banana), I'll set a limit of 1100-1200 a day, and that'll give me 500-1000 extra calories to work with on saturday! I probably won't need that many extra, but better safe than sorry ;)
