Beagle's New Journal

Hehe wait..what did Imiss about the weekend, do you have the whole weekend off? why are you so geeked? OOH TELL ME the dirt!! :D

I'm geeked because I got cheated out of my weekend last week, and I've been working way harder than I usually do. As for plans, tomorrow is total indulgence day (in lazyness anyways), and sunday I'm getting together with a bunch of friends to watch the "master order" (whatever that means) of Star Wars... I think Josh said it would be 4-5-1-2-3-6 or something like that, to get the most dramatic viewing. It'll take about 13 hours :D

Before we start though, I plan on getting my Turbo Jam groove on. And it'll pretty much be all junk food served that day, so I have to be really, really careful, but I don't mind because I haven't properly hung out with my friends in months, and they're totally worth going a little bit hungry for.

Hey Beagle,
Just enjoy yourself and relax. Great job on the 190 now. You are diong so good. treat yourself to something:D Well have a good night and enjoy your marathon on Star wars

Yay! A geeky weekend! Have fun hun!
I totally know what you mean about the sauces! They can make or break a sub! The key with the juicer is to put in lots of filling fruits and that.. I mean a regular smoothie isn't quite filling - but real ones.. like Booster Juice kinds... I can't get through one without feeling satisfied by the end! They're so energizing too... now to make the money to buy the juicer...

Hey You Have The Turbo Jam Excercise Stuff Girlfriend I Am Curious About It If Ya Do Or Is It Just Your New Words Hehehee Anyways Have Fun This Weekend Keep Safe And Enjoy!

Oh yeah I totally have the Turbo Jam DVDs, and I love them! :D I haven't been able to find time for them lately, but I am so looking forward to starting them up again.

Liz, it sounds like you know how to work a blender! I'm going to have to get you to make me a smoothie because how delicious someone's smoothies are isn't something you can just "believe" you gotta experience it for yourself... if only for a free smoothie! ;)

I haven't felt much like actually making anything today, just been picking at snacks. Man though, they really add up, I'm gonna have to hold off for a few hours now until dinner.

Hi Bailey :D hope your weekend went good for ya :) I wish I had the coordination for Turbo Jam - not to mention we live in a mobilehome and I would seriously hate to knock it off its "blocks"! LOL

Fun fact: 3oz of mexicasa cheese sauce is 110 calories, which means that a full cup of that stuff is just short of 300 calories. A FULL CUP OF LIQUID CHEESE HAS LESS CALORIES THAN A SINGLE SIZE BAG OF CHIPS. That is mind boggling.

So anyways, my food breakdown for the day was about 2-3 cups of chili (300?), about a cup of greek salad (100), and just under a cup of liquid cheese (300) combined with about 3/4 of a bag of tortilla chips (800), for a total of about 1500. So calorie wise, it was an "okay" day, but holy damn it was all junk food >< By the way, the chips and cheese were spread out over about 6-8 hours of watching back to back movies.

As far as exercise goes, I didn't find time to do a full workout, but did get about twenty minutes of walking in when I had to go to the grocery store and back to pick up supplies. And I'm off to do my situps right now.

Alright, game plan for today: Water fast through to dinner time (since the one I tried to do last week was a total bust), and then Turbo Jam after dinner, once I have some energy again.

I did lose a pound last week, so I'm to 191 right now, but I was really hoping to at least break even and get back to 190 this week. Mostly, I think its going to be hard to get back into my Turbo groove after going without for so long. I may have to go back to the intro work out for a couple of days. But I gotta start somewhere!

Thanks for supporting me, you guys, I really feel good about this, I can do it!

11 pounds is close? Doesn't seem like it some days... heck I'll just be happy when I can set 180 as my next goal (only 1 more pound!) Then I can get myself a nice new bra :D

I think I'm going to need to talk to my mom. She switched to a different company for our bottled water (you know, the big giant bottles that have a stand and everything), and it tastes. I don't know what it tastes like, but water, especially water you pay for shouldn't have any taste at all. Blech, I think I'm going to have to dump this out and get water fountain water. Heck, even the tap water tasted better than this.

Hey you will get into the 180's girl!!! :) Don't worry!! :D

So I have to ask..what exactly does the TurboJam sessions consist of?? They sound like a lot of fun. :) Sorry about the water.. I know what you mean, I'm very particular about my bottled water, only certain ones I like. My FH thinks I'm nuts.. he thinks it all is the same!! ;)

The Tubo Jam workouts are based around the "Elite Eleven" moves (hey I didn't name them ;)) that are chosen because they target specific muscle groups, especially the core (ie all the ab groups). Thow in a combination of various fighting moves (tae bo, karate, capoeira), dance moves, and very up beat music, and you got a turbo jam! I find it a lot of fun to do because its really high energy, but I don't think it would be for everyone, especially people with bad knees or backs or who prefer a slower workout.

If I could though, I'd make a couple changes, mostly with the music and sound. It would be so excellent if both the leader's voice and the music were on seperate tracks, and you could control either in terms of volume or even off/on, because sometimes I don't want to listen to her giving instructions and just go, and other times I want to just put in my own music without losing the instruction on the more complex sets. LOL but that's just wishful thinking ;)

Okay so I did good for most of the day today, though I did have a granola bar and banana at about 4pm (250), then had spaghetti and meatsauce for dinner (500). I did have a couple more granola bars though over the last few hours since dinner (300), so I'm up to 1050 anyways. Sigh. 1000 calories in 5 hours. That is just sad. Isn't it funny, I had very little trouble making it to 4pm without having anything to eat, was only a little hungry, but as soon as I let myself have a little, I had it all.

I'm going to try this experiment again tomorrow. Make it until dinner, and then try to control myself a little bit better. Since I'm not eating for half my day, I get half my calories; 600. That's it. Right now this isn't even about the calories or the weight, this is about learning self control which I sadly lack.

Edit: Scratch that last bit, I'm meeting Josh for lunch tomorrow at noon. I'll try this again Wednesday.
