Beagle's New Journal

*cry* it's too cold out for school! But I missed class yesterday so I really can't afford to miss again. I really need to get a car or something so that I can heat it up and then drive the fast route to school and be alone and warm the whole way... some days I really hate taking the bus.

On the positive side though, I actually remembered to pack both a lunch and a dinner today. I've got some left over pizza (500), a turkey sandwich (400), yogurt (100) and an orange (100) - so 1100 calories, and I'll grab some toast on my way out, bringing the daily total to 1250. Planning the day makes it so much easier :) And, because I've run out of cash until payday, I have no temptation to run down to the foodcourt or convenience store and supplement it ;)

Awesome girl!! Yep my life saver is pre-planning meals. If I didn't I'd be hitting up fast-food joints all the time and spending waaay too much money! :D

You're doing really well. Sorry you have me for such a crummy buddy, I hardly am consistent getting in to your diary. Sorry girl!! You do such a great job poppin in on mine. :)
 
No way Dana, you rock :D We both have busy lives, so its cool you can't always find your way over here. Heck, *I* feel bad because I never get on my darned YIM to chat with you! Only two more shifts on full time and then I should be able to go back to at least being able to get on a couple times a week :)
 
So I forgot to make my toast before I left the house, and ended up starting the day off by eating my snacks... and then ate my lunch as soon as I got out of my first class, when I had meant to save it until after my last one. Now all I have left is two little slices of pizza to keep me going until I'm home again at 1am, but I'm still so hungry and its only 11:30 :( I'm trying to get a hold of Josh to see if he'll agree to buy me a veggie sub or something since they're only 200 calories or so, but pretty filling.
 
Good luck on snagging the boy!! Sorry you weren't able to grab some breakfast.. maybe try packing breakfast tomorrow for you too~ :) I know you can't really pack toast.. but breakfast bar or something?? :) i dunno! I'm out of eggs..so not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow for breakfast. HM!

Thank goodness I did, Cassie :) Not as early as I had hoped, but I got him eventually, and had him pick me up a veggie sub on his way to work since he starts around the same time my first break is. The thing I love about veggie subs is that all the bread and lettuce is really filling but doesn't have much for calories. Too bad I couldn't make it taste like a stuffed meaty sub ;)
 
Yuss! Unoffical weigh-in has me back to 190 - if I'm good all weekend I can go back to my 190-180 ticker! *thinks skinny thoughts*

Also, today is the last day of my full time work schedule - I am going to slack SO HARD tomorrow, its unbelievable. I'm going to set a world record for slacking! Then Sunday I start working out again! Oh I've missed my workouts ^_^
 
Lesson of the day: spray on "butter" makes my eggs taste unbeliably gross, regardless of how much cheese or pepper I try to put on it to make it taste better. *shudder* Can't even finish it.

LOL Bailey, it even SOUNDS gross!!!! My mama swears by the spray on butter, but I just can't handle it :rolleyes: Glad you got your mitts on a good veggie sub :D Congrats on bein' back to 190 :D you will change to your lower ticker in no time :D Hope you have a great "slack day" and enjoy your weekend :D

If there is one thing I can say about veggie subs its that they really are filling, without using up all my calories for the day. And cheap! Even if I get tired of them sometimes, they're too useful to give up :)

You will too see 190 again! Look at how much you've already lost, 190 is only 15lbs more! Just keep up the good work and you'll get there in your own time (hopefully no time :D)

Mmm, I love smoothies :D The only problem is, they aren't very filling at all. But hey if you can do it, its a great way to make sure you get all your fruits and veggies in! In general, the trick with subs is in the sauces, seriously. I used to put like three different sauces on my subs at a time, but found out that they added like 200 calories on a SMALL sub! :eek: so I've cut it down to one sauce (ranch on veggie subs, lite mayo on meaty ones), and really, it doesn't taste all that different, but I'm cutting most of those unneeded calories out.

Otherwise though, things are going good. So geeked for the weekend that the fact I'm at work right now really doesn't bother me :D
