Beagle's New Journal

Cassie, that's an awesome idea for her tortilla shells.. oine of my favorite things to do w/ them... I highly recommend it Beagle! :D

YUSSSSS! Take that, ya stupid scale! Not move for three weeks, I'll show you!!

Weigh-in: 190.2 lbs.

I know 2 lbs isn't that much, but I have been so frustrated lately because I've been plateauing so frequently, and even gained a pound in there. 2lbs is a big deal for me! I'm setting up my next 10 lb goal ticker right now! :D

2 pounds is 2 pounds. Congrats on breaking the plateau!

I agree, I really wish studying burned more calories. Feel like I'm tied to the desk lately, and not getting enough exercise!

Good luck this week!

well as far as studying goes, I have a really short attention span so after a couple of hours (if I'm lucky) I need to do something else for a little bit! every now and again I do my workout during a studying break, and it helps too because getting my heartrate going for a bit seems to help my concentration afterwards :)

So I moved on today to the next workout on the DVD, "The 20 minute workout", which is about as long as the workout on the "Learn & Burn", but it is not the same sort of deal! So much faster-paced than the first one, and she doesn't give nearly as much warning when she is adding a move to the mix. I think I'm gonna have to work on it all week again to get the hang of it, though I don't really mind. I worked up a WICKED sweat. The 'gross sweat spots all over your shirt' kind of sweat, which I don't think I've had yet on this diet! Maybe I haven't been working hard enough (probably, actually).

In other news, I have swedish written exam tomorrow afternoon, a research methodology exam on wednesday afternoon, and swedish oral right after. Then, I can realax.

happy valentines day ^_^ After my test, I'm spending it with my honey!

Also I'm treating myself to a lunch out today instead of packing one. Not sure what I'm gonna have though! oh the thrill of the unknown... :p

Good afternoon Beagle! Hope all goes well with your test today :) Great job on the 2# BTW! And what do you mean "2 pounds isn't that much"!?! Woman, 2# is 2# and I'd take it any day, so RUN with it! :D Enjoy lunch and time with your honey today;) Keep up the great work!

Happy Valentine's Day Beagle Buddy!!! :) Wow, that DVD sounds like it is helping ya bust some butt. Way to go!!! :) And good for you eating out for lunch, you deserve it. Enjoy your sweetie today!! :)

Why is it that the days I need to most exercise are the ones I end up not doing it on? Well, I got some valentine's day "exercising" in, but I don't think its nearly enough to make up for a gianormous chinese food dinner. I'm not even going to try to count the calories up, I know I was at about 500 calories before dinner (cheesy bagel, and a small veggie sub), and then it just all went out the window ><

Alright, here's the plan. I'm finishing up some last-minute studying for my two-blow exam day tomorrow, and then when I'm done I'll get some Jammin' in before bed. I'm probably not going to bed until about 3 since I *never* get to bed on time when Josh is over, so I have lots of time.

Also, Dana, do you ever have yourself set as visible when you're on YM? Or do I just keep missing you!

Yeah I have both, but I never see you on :p Maybe I should be logging on earlier than 10pm (my time, which I think is like midnight for you). It usually takes me until tha late to get everything for the day taken care of anyways. Oh well, I'll catch you eventually!

Oh yeah, I Jammed up a friggin storm last night! It felt so good after overeating, not to mention the calorie burn. Exercising really is like an addictive substance; the more I do it, the more I want to do it :D

So this time I *know* I'm going out for a nice dinner tonight, so I'm going to try to avoid eating as much as possible today so that I don't have to worry about exactly how much I've gone over. I mean, its the Olive Garden, I know I'm not going to have a darned salad ;) On the plus side, because we can't get a car, and the restraunt is too far away, we're going to walk there and back (I don't know the exact distance, but its about 20 minutes at a slightly fast walking pace). I'll still see about getting in a Jam session, but somehow I doubt I'll get it in :p

Olive Garden! Mmmmm. I love the shrimp alfredo. At least you will walk it off on the way home.

What are these jam sessions? I need to poke through your journal some to see what it is. Hope you have a great day!

Ooops, posted the same thing twice, so I will edit this one. Hate it when that happens! How does that happen anyway? Told me to wait 30 seconds, then it posted twice. weird.

Anyhow. Hope you kicked butt on your exams!

The Jam Sessions I'm talking about are when I do workouts do my new Turbo Jam DVDs... they were a little on the expensive side (about $60 for like 10 different workouts on two DVDs, plus a bunch of pamphlets on other products I could buy, and a neat little guidebook to the workouts as well as a suggested diet plan), but I think they were so worth it because the leader is really high energy, and its pretty contagious - not to mention I sweat like a pig by the time I'm done :D

The only downside to them is that the two workouts I've been working through so far (and I'd assume the rest are the same) have kind of complex moves - not so complex that you can't ever figure them out, but it takes a few sessions to finally get them right and get through the whole thing without having to stop and figure out what you're supposed to be doing :p
