How do you figure out what 1% of your body weight is??
Well, what I do is aim to lose as much as I can, and then figure out what the loss was. As explained below:
Take this week's weight (CW), divide it by last week's weight (SW), subtract 1, and then multiply by 100 to get the change in weight (WC).
WC = (CW/SW-1)/100
Don't forget to apply BEDMAS. (Operations are performed in the order of brackets, exponents, division, multiplication, addition, subtraction.)
So, for example, if you weighed 210 lbs Aug 1, and weigh 207 lbs Aug 8...
WC = (207/210-1)*100
WC = -1.4%
