Way to go on losing 100 pounds!!! That's really awesome! I'm not surprised that your friend is proud of you. I really hope you are proud of yourself too, because that's a really big achievement. Have a lot of non-food related fun on your vacation! ^_~

Thanks miz! Glad I finally hit that milestone!

Haven't updated in a bit. Been feeling a bit guilty and I felt like I couldn't really update this thing with the bad until I did something good to offset it :p

Essentially, I crashed and burned over July 4th. But I had SOOOO much fun doing it. Went on hardcore vacation mode, and now I am back to the grind, cleaning up that mess haha. Still ate moderately healthy, but I ate a LOT more that my usual intake. Oh, and I went to the bars the last night in town. So, I cheated on that no alch plan. The good news is there aren't anymore holidays until my birthday, so that should make it easier......right?

Anyways, got back, and since then have been keeping it clean. Had a near ideal day yesterday, and stuck almost EXACTLY to what I intended to. I think I snuck a few tortilla chips in while I was waiting for dinner to finish. Bad habit, I know!

Went to the a different gym by my new place. Its a lot.....smaller. No bball court which was dissapointing, but it still has a decent sized weight room. Got my lifts in, came home and attempted my first ever "run around the block". Considering it is still like 90 degrees at night, I actually ran a lot farther than I figured I would, and I got some great cardio out of it. One of my long term goals is to be a solid runner someday, so I think I am going to start incorporating this night jog into my plan. Besides, when is the last time you saw a fat runner? lol.

Anyways, have my coffee with me and my lunch packed, so today is going to be a quality day too. Gotta keep the focus until the b-day, thats my little stretch goal. Have a nice week everyone!

Well, you sound like you did decent on your vacation! I held nothing back when I went on my honeymoon! Well, I didn't drink too much, not much of a drinker, but I thought I would have more since it was all inclusive. Though I ate enough, that's for sure.

I am really excited! I can't wait until this first part is over, I hate being nauseated almost all the time. It used to be all the time, but now I have a few small periods where I don't feel so horrible, so I think I'm heading in the right direction. Hopefully only a few more weeks of feeling BLEH. Though when I do get hungry, I am hungry and I definitely make up for when I'm not hungry! I know once I start feeling better I'll have to watch more of what I eat. But for now, I try to focus on, if I'm nauseated but there's something that I can actually eat, I'm going to eat it. They say during the first trimester it's better to at least get calories in than not having anything at all, then when you feel good in the 2nd trimester, focus on being healthy.

Anyways, good luck with getting back/staying on track! Sounds like you're already back at it :)

Ugh I know what vacation mode does to your frame of mind! Its crazy!

Crazy factoids about pregnancy. Hope you find the stomach to get some quality foods in. Its times when I read stuff like this I am SO glad I won't have to go through that...no offense :p Great to see you back!

Had another decent day yesterday. Stayed on track with calories, but ended up having unplanned Subway footlong for dinner. It was pretty good, but it sat heavy all night. Whatever. Didn't make it to lifting, but I was kinda tired from Tuesday's workout anyways. I think its because I took so long of a break in between! Anyways, plan to do it tonight again. I did however manage to get my run in again. This time I ran the ENTIRE time. Was one of those things were I would pick a spot on the horizon, make it a goal to get there, and realize I could do more. Just kept doing that until I was finished with my loop, and back at home. MAN, I don't know if its the summer nights or if the cardio is that intense, but it gives me a crazy sweat! I really want to get that in tonight too, but my legs are a little sore.

Other than that, things have been pretty ho hum. Can't wait until this weekend!

Hey Andy - I think long weekends get us all off track a bit. I'm glad to hear it was all worth it though and a lot of fun! Sometimes that is more important and then you come back refreshed and ready to tackle the weight again. We all need breaks. Good to hear you are back at it and enjoying some running! I'm finally getting back to the running myself! Have a great weekend!

So true about long weekends. Ya, I have never really been great at running in my life, but funny enough Daris from BL really inspired me to get good at it. I am still VERY happy I was able to go for as long as I did yesterday, and now its just a matter of keeping it up!

Have a great weekend Lisa!

Well, good news and bad news. I ate well, and had OK water intake yesterday, but I didn't get any workouts in. My legs are still adjusting to the new running regiment, and they were pretty sore, so I just called it an offday.

Still getting situated at the new place, but I am really hopeful to knock a lot of that out this weekend and get some other errands done. Gotta lift tonight - taken too much time off. I think when I get home. Other than that, nothing much has changed!

Had a surreal moment a few days ago. I was editing my FB, and I went through all these old pictures of me. They were.....tragic. As I flipped through them, I can't help but think I had no control over my life during this period. Looking back on it, I wish someone had taken me aside and shook me, and asked if this was the path I wanted to go down. Its a little concerning when I look back at years of myself, and ask WTF was I thinking? I guess I am feeling a twinge of regret for not taking care of myself for so long. Anyways, can't change that now, its history. Looking forward to replacing the old pictures with new pictures. :)

Got some friends coming into town this weekend for whatever reason, so I am looking forward to seeing a few fimiliar faces! Have a stellar weekend everyone!

Quick update - I officially fit into an XL tshirt. Big moment for me! Even more stuff thats available for me to wear now. I think the day I can even fit into a large is the day I am finished.

My original goal was 200, but the more I look at it, the more I think that 220 is going to look good on me. I suppose I will figure that out when I get there.

Looked at some new jeans today, and it looks like 36 is the new fit for me. As it is, I have a pair of jeans size 42 that I got in december, but they barely hold up even with a belt. So, even though the weight loss has slowed down, the inches have remained honest, and I have to be happy about that. Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi everyone!

Had a nice weekend, stayed on track with everything, saw some old friends, AND worked my butt off. PRODUCTIVE. Started hiking a nearby mountain with my sister, for a change of pace. From the website, its 1.6 miles with a steady elevation change of 700 feet, but it feels like SO much more! The view from the top is really cool, especially at night when the city is lit up. AND, to keep it challenging, we jog the entire way down. Its so funny, you just HAUL it down because its all downhill. Between the steady cardio, and the fact that its 90 something degrees at night, I get a CRAZY sweat going. So I'm liking that.

I should backtrack. My sister is home for a month, and we have been pumping each other up to stay active. We both have birthdays in mid august, so its CRUNCH time. Keeping each other honest is going to make the birthdays that much more enjoyable :)

Also, went shopping again (its so fun when you can actually wear the clothes!) and bought a few XL (!) collar shirts that fit wonderfully. I really have to invest in a new summer wardrobe, just because its so ridiculously hot that jeans are cutting it anymore. So yea, its a high point for me! Also, got my hair lopped off so its a little cooler now! haha

Anyways, it was a nice weekend. Looking forward to heading home, changing quickly, and getting an early workout in. I want to try and do it eariler, so I have less of a tendancy to nap when I get home. Tonight is the entire gamut, since I took Sunday off. Lifting and a bit of cardio.

Weigh in this morning was 248.4. Really excited!

Wow, marathon post got a little out of hand. Have a good Monday WLF!

Awesome work Andy! You are doing great and really on a roll! I need to take a page from your book going forward and rock it out again! That's so fun to go shopping and actually enjoy it for once. I love all the running you have been doing too - really motivating! Thanks for that great post! Keep it up!

Thanks for coming by! Felt like this week flew by! I'm basically all settled into the new place, and a new obstacle I've discovered is that I need to figure out how to better schedule my time. Feels like the evening FLYS by, and all the sudden its time for sleep haha. So yea, still getting used to that.

Food was VERY good yesterday. Staryed on track, and ate under the amount of calories that I was shooting for. Also got enough water in. So thats good, because Wednesday was the opposite. Such a weird day, I felt tired and hungry like ALL day. Tried water, extra protein - none of it was curbing my appetite, which was a little frustrating. Haven't felt that way in as long as I can remember, so I knew I needed to have a good day yesterday, which I did (mission accomplished!)

Also, last night my sister and I took on a new mountain. It was freaking tough. I thought I was in semi good shape, because I've been active at the gym for the past year, but this mountain kicked my butt. Its stairs for a 1/4 mile, and then its basically rock climbing up about a 30-45 degree incline the rest of the way. At some points, there are horizontal poles planted in the ground so you can pull your way up with your arms, because the grade is too steep. On that note, my core is killing me today! I didn't realize how much I used it, but I certainly feel it today.

(guess my links were broken - will update with actual jpegs later.)

Some cool pictures of the trail. I really plan on doing this more, and getting really good at it.

Other than that, looking forward to this weekend. Going to be entertaining some out of town friends, so I am REALLY looking forward to that!

Weigh in was 247.2 this morning. Keep up the MOMENTUM!

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Thanks - had a wonderful weekend! It was still hot as hell, but it was fun! Have a date with the mountain after work today, can already feel THAT sweatfest haha!

Haven't updated in a few days, but everything is still on track.

In recent news, just accepted a new job offer yesterday! I'm really looking forward to the change of pace, its much closer to home and the best part is that it is 2 minutes away from a hiking trail that I like. So that seems like it came together perfectly!

Other than that, not much to expand on. I weighed in Saturday at 246.8, which is the lowest I've seen it, but I haven't felt the need to weigh in each morning. I'm really starting to become happy with my look, although I still think I would look that much better if I cut an extra 20-30 pounds. Anyways, all is well is the world of Andy!

Have a strong week everyone!

Damn, I am a bit of a mess. Last night I went and played basketball for the first time in roughly 3 weeks. I remember how fun it is! I wish I could find a decent league around my new place, so I'll have to make a note to check that later. I had to guard this guy that was ridiculously in shape. Im talking 6% bf 230ish pounds, a human tank. Thing was, he was surprisingly slow, and if I hustled I could create some space between us. Ended up with a lot of minor annoying injuries from the game though. Jammed my middle finger on my left hand, strained a muscle in my back, and I am feeling the DOMS in my thighs. Oh yea, and a gnarly bump on the elbow. Funny, because basketball is also how I injured my knee in April.

It makes me feel like an old man haha. Anyways, I was really happy with food yesterday, water was good (at least 3/4 gallon). So, I may take it easy today, but I'll see how I feel after work.

Wow Andy, sounds like you've been doing awesome since I've been away! Glad to see your scale is going down, your food and water have been great and your workouts are insane like always!

And grats on the new job! Want to send some of those job-finding vibes my way now that you don't need them? I just found a listing for something that would be 5 kinds of perfect and I'm getting my resume and cover letter ready today. Wish me luck!

Sorry about the minor basketball injuries. Sounds like you guys play hard. Take a day to rest the back muscle, so you don't wind up really hurt.

Hey you guys! Thanks for coming by! Love hearing from you two!

Monday morning, feeling exceptional. I had SUCH a good weekend. On saturday night, I met up with an old flame who was in town from Vienna, and we went out to a local bar around 10:00, and talked about our lives. Really really deep stuff, and it felt revitilizing to be able to dig in and really share your thoughts. Anyways, pretty soon it was 2:30, and they were kicking us out haha. Ended up visiting some old friends that evening, and got home around 5 AM.

A month or two ago, I think I posted that I was shooting for 250 by the time she got in town. Well, I am happy to say I came in at 246 the morning of, and she noticed. It feels good to look good. We talked a lot about self image, and how it really controls.....er rather limits what you think you can do with your life. I feel like a lot of self growth happened, so thats usually a good thing :)

Anyways, somewhere in there, I determined that I am going to shoot for a different goal as far as weight loss. I really want to run a marathon before 2011 is over. At the moment, I am not sure if I could finish a 5K haha, so its something I need to build on. Still plan on lifting every other day, but in the meantime I want to focus more on cardio, especially in regards to building endurance.

Anyways, took my newfound inspiration and got my butt up and hiked a mountain before I went to work this morning. I want to make that a habit, because it really is the best part of the day to do anything outside this time of the year.

Started this week off on a positive note, going to KILL it this week. Have a great week all!

Quick update this morning. Food/water was really good. No exercise, so I need to do something this evening. Just feels like this week has been no down time!

Saw "Despicable Me" last night, literally the best movie I've seen all summer, included Inception. Highly recommend!

Weigh in this morning was 243.8

Silly scales.
