Amanda's Diary

SOOO glad your back!! Just forget about what weight you may have gained back, just think about today! We all need to get back in the habit of taking things one day at a time.

Ok so I just typed a huge long response and it disappeared. ARGH! So I'm going to turn it in to a smaller one because I really don't feel like typing it again. Thanks girls! Korrie you're right...one day at a time.

K well I went to the Tigers/Indians game last night with Greg. It was a blast. I impressed the guy behind us by telling him every single hit/out of one inning correctly. Heck I impressed myself. He said he was going to be telling the guys at work about it. I said, be sure to let them know that it was a girl doing it too! haha!

Well we went to leave and I got in my car...nothing. I was stuck in Detroit for about an hour and a half after the game...waiting for my brother and parents to get up there to give my car a jump. I let my brother drive my car home and Greg and I rode along. He tried turning on the air and a light came on and the car jerked, so he turned it back off. LOL (it wasn't funny then!!!) Then when we got back into town we couldn't slow down a whole lot (i.e. stop at red lights) because it would do the same thing (jerk and lights) so he'd stop and put it in neutral and rev up the engine then putting in back in drive. All i could think of was great there goes my transmission too. Haha! Yeah I just got a new battery about a week and a half ago. SO my guess is it's either a defective battery, my serpentine belt, or my alternator. I'm hoping the battery! I know what it definitely is though...A PAIN IN THE BUTT!

So last night was a long night...didn't even get home until after midnight. UGH! Let alone when I was able to fall asleep. So hopefully whatever it is, doesn't cost me a lot of money. Today I'm driving my parents truck and they're going to take my car in to the battery place. I'm crossing my fingers here! So um I weighed in this morning and the damage was.... 184.6  UGH oh well, all i can do now is lower that number from here on out. On the bright side...bowling starts tonight! YAY! :)

Yeay!!Amanda so glad your back! sorry about your car, i know what you mean though my car has gremlins too....dont worry about the weight as Korrie said take it one day at a time, :)

Thanks girl! :) It's already feel GRRRREAT to be back! hehe!

Oh by the way for an update to you all...my car is all better now. It was a defective battery with a dead cell. So, they gave me a new one and I'm good to go now. :) (Keeping jumper cables in my car too! hehe!)

My Plan!

Ok so I need to set some goals for myself or something.

So I'm going for 64 oz of water each day and around 1500 Calories.

I have bowling on Wednesday nights and softball on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm really excited because it gets me moving again (which I desperately need). Besides the fact that I LOVE bowling and softball!

So my plan is to attempt to go on my bike ride (atleast 5 miles) at least 3 times a week. I want to get back into the Tae Bo too but I'm not going to press myself for too much right now. Right now I have no clue how the exercising and everything will fit in to my schedule but I'm determined to make it fit, one way or another. :D

Great Diary!
From the looks of it you know exactly what to do and how to do it....I read where you said how you loved fast food .... have you seen the movie " super size me?"...Now when ever I roll into micky d's or any other ff place..I start to think of that movie...and I STILL order...just not the "# one combo supersized"....I will either have a salad( w/ o their dressing)..or a grilled chicken sandwhich..w/o mayo.....its all about making a healthier choice..( or at least half ass healthier..lol)

Okay girl, It's motivation time!
Get off this computer, when youre done posting that is, and work it!
We are in this together and we can do it!
I am here for you and I know you're here for me, so let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn you got a busy schedule! This should be easy for you! .
( I need to keep busy so I dont eat! ) LOL

Christina...that's the truth! I feel like I'm constantly running around. What's funny is...theoretically I should be skinny! LOL! BUT with so much running and many fast food options...that's what gets me. I'm SOOOO looking forward to getting going with my bike rides and stuff. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of riding my bike tonight to my game hehe! I don't know if I will or not though because I'll be so pooped after that I won't want to ride back. I guess we'll see what happens. I have my first softball game tonight so I'll be active at least.

Ok so yesterday was a horrible start to my diet. I really didn't want to post things, or I wanted to post and leave things out but I really need to be honest with you and myself. So here it goes...

Subway Melt FOOT LONG AHHHH
Grilled Cheese
Chicken Noodle Soup
Fat Free Jello
Mini Tacos
Nutri-Grain Bar
Dorito crumbs
F.F. Pudding Cup
Small piece of cake

UGH there's no way I need all that crap! I'm angry at myself for even putting it in my mouth. I was only supposed to eat 6" of the sub...but nope I didn't. I think that's what makes me the most angry...besides the cake! Oh so frustrating. I think I'm going to ride my bike to the game today...that may be the way to jumpstart myself in all of this. Can't I just tape my freaking mouth shut or something? LOL!

I've decided to put up an old picture of myself. I remember thinking I was fat then! hahaha! Anyway! I think it will help with the reminder that I CAN and WILL do this! Sorry if too much skin for ya'll. :p Although it's not showing a lot. lol

oh you know you can do this! You are so beautiful girly! I'm gonna do the same thing, put up an old pic to remind me that I CAN DO IT TOO!!!

Thursday, Sept 8

Ok so today was great! I'm so proud of myself!

Peanut Butter Crackers 134
Lean Pocket 280
2 Rolls w/Butter (after bike ride) 230
Slim Slam 480
Cheese Fries 175

I know the fries weren't the best choice but I limited myself and I'm so proud for that. So I also went on a 3.5 mile bike ride after work! Then I came home, got changed, ate the rolls with butter and went out and played in my softball game (which I got plenty of action in!) I'm so proud of myself for today! I didn't get the full amount of water in but I did well with calories and exercise! YIPPEE! I'm going to lose these 5 pounds! I just know I will!

do you bring a water bottle to the game with you? So you can drink while your not up?
good job on exercise, no wonder you have such nice legs! ;)

Hey girl! Thank you hehe you girls flatter me with the legs comment. :) I was tired of water yesterday so I did bring Gatorade although I didn't get a chance to drink much of it. But yes usually I bring a big old bottle of water to the game. Gotta have my water! hehe!

LOL the bottom half of my pic there isn't one...but when I resized it, it got stuck with this big blob of white beneath it. (Although that might not be far from what the bottom would actually look like "a big blob of white") LOL!

Thanks Smiling!

Ok so food wise this weekend was not the best...but on the other hand...I definitely got my share of exercise in.

Friday night we went to see the Exorcism of Emily Rose. We left Saturday morning for our little weekend trip. We arrived in Frankenmuth which is a little Bavarian town. It's a very neat place that I hadn't been to since I was younger. You walk through the town and there are tons of little shops and stuff like that. Oh and there is of course the biggest Christmas Store (Bronner's). We went there and that place is so overwhelming. If any of you ever want something Christmas oriented, I would definitely say to go there. it's unbelievable how big it is. So after leaving Frankenmuth, we went to the Prime Outlets in Birch Run. That was great too. At one store I got a bra and 5 pair of jeans for under $25 including tax! Man that was so awesome. So after shopping we called it a day and headed to the hotel for the night. Sunday we went to the Michigan Renaissance Festival. It was so much fun! It was definitely tiring, but fun! I had never been before and it was just so different and neat. So basically I have no idea how much on Saturday but we walked quite a bit, and on Sunday I know we were walking for at least 4 hours. So it was a great weekend, it was nice to get away and do something different.

Now, I'm looking forward to getting back to the groove of things here now! :p

cool! Sounds like you had a great weekend! We can loose this weight girl, just take it one day at a time!
