YAYYYYY I'm so excited! I KNOW I'm on my way again! The only bad thing is...look at my dinner. OY! That's horrible! It was tasty though. lol I think I wouldn't feel so bad about dinner if I didn't drink the pop. I don't normally drink pop now. Ah well. I know it wasn't a healthy day but I did somehow manage to keep my calories down. Still it's SOOOO much better than last week. YAY! :)

Oh man after we left LJ's, we got about a mile down the road and Greg's car broke down. It jerked, and then he couldn't accelerate and the battery and oil light came on. We managed to coast into a parking lot, where we waited for about an hour and a half. We were waiting for his uncle and grandma to come out so we could call AAA (with his grandma's card) By the time we called AAA though the tow truck got there in like 20 minutes. So anyway it was a crazy night. I didn't exercise but I definitely did some walking when his car broke down (liketo Murray's, to find a bathroom, and to the gas station) lol OY
 
Hey hey, you are on your way! At least you kept the calories down. You could have easily overdone it. Today just make a concious effort to include vegetables and fruits while keeping those calories in check and I'd say you're in the clear. You rule!
 
Sorry about the car trouble. Car trouble is my biggest nightmare. I just hate it when my car doesn't work!!!

Hey Amanda, looks like your doing great! Keep up the good work! If I could make one little teeny tiny suggestion?? Wouldn't your day be off to a better start if you had oatmeal or ceral for breakfast???
 
Korrie, Hey girl thanks for posting. ok *deep breath* I'm sure you're right. My day probably would be much healthier if I started off with something like that. My biggest problem is incorporating healthy foods into my diet. If it's good for me, I most likely don't like it. I don't like any cereal that is "Good for you" you know..Cheerios, and bran and stuff like that. I'll only eat oatmeal if it's got tons of butter and sugar. So it's kind of hard...it's like voting for your President...you try to pick the lesser of two evils.

I'm not trying to make excuses, but being honest here. With my dislikes, and lack of time makes it difficult. I basically have enough time to get up, shower, get dressed, and leave for work. SOOO I eat my "breakfast" (normally a toaster scramble or some type of nutri grain bar or something) at work. Hmm so yeah. I wish I liked healthier stuff though! :( Things would be so much easier for me!
 
Hi coaster sorry to butt in :D but guess what there’s good news …. It seams as we get older our tastes buds change. I was like you and could not eat many veg salad or fruit. In the last few years though I have been able to eat a few things that I couldn’t stand before :eek: . I still can’t eat cereal though the only one I like is cornflakes and I had them the other morning and felt really sick afterwards, not something I want to repeat in a hurry :( . Looking good. :cool:
 
I might be wrong (as I havn't done any formal investigation) but i think some of the "kiddie" cereals are still pretty good for you. I had some of my daughters chocolate Lilo and stitch cereal the other week, man was it good, and I believe it was the same amt of calories as cheerios.
 
$850! Poor Greg. That really sucks.

So, I've been thinking about how you said you don't like fruits and vegetables, which you can imagine is a foreign concept to me. But I know that some people really just don't like healthy stuff. I love it and if I had to choose between having junk food or healthy food for the rest of my life I would choose the healthy stuff. I guess it's because that's what I was raised on-my mom never let me have sugary cereals. We always had Cheerios or Raisin Bran. My desserts when I was a kid were always fresh fruit parfaits. We always had salad and two veggies with dinner. I didn't start getting fat and unhealthy until I was a bit older, about 12 or 13 and I started making more of my own food choices, eating out with friends, snacking after school, ect. Anyway, I was thinking, do you think you would be able to drink fruit smoothies? Like, if you got together, 4 or 5 servings of different fruits and blended them with some ice and a little bit of milk, and maybe a tablespoon of fiber powder or something you could have a nice little healthy tasty drink! That might be something for you to think about. :)
 
Rosered: Thanks for the reply. Don't worry about "butting in". That's why I post here, for support and input. :) Actually I'm glad you brought that up. They say that your taste buds change every 7 years. Let's see here...I have one more year then. LOL! Hopefully I'll like something then. As of right now, tomatoes absolutely disgust me(i don't think i'll ever eat them...it's the texture) and lettuce tastes like paper. lol

Korrie, thanks for that. I'll have to check it out. It would help if I had milk too. Haha! :) I guess I need to break out the Lactaid. lol! (milk and my tummy don't mix very well) But I do like some cereal. I'll work on making it a point to eat it. Problem is, whenever I eat cereal, I'm starving later. (and it's not much later..hmmm we'll see)
 
So sorry to hear about the car. They are very expensive when something goes wrong. Sounds like you are still doing good with cals. :D
