Hello I know this is going to help me out alot. I've just started my diet on 3-11-05. Im already experiencing sometimes when i want to just give up but i've kept my strength. My weight at my start 3/11 was 300lbs my current weight as of today 3/23 im 290 probably water weight but hey a lb is a lb right ;) Anyway my goal is to get down to 150lbs and i'm very determined.. Ive joined a gym and i go 4 times a week for 30 to 45 mins I'm going to try and start going for longer once I get accustomed(you'll have to excuse my spelling) :eek: I'm taking a dietary supplements lipovarin, thyrotril and auqadrine- along with my multivitamin. So I ask for your support if you pray include me... :D
 
Welcome to the forum! You're already on the right foot. 10 pounds is a lot, water weight or not. I hope we can help you achieve your goals.

Seriously, this online journal has been a huge boost to my weight loss! (25 pounds so far :))

I started at 280,..so I know how you are feeling,..down to 215,..so it can be done,..just keep at it and if you have a bad day just get on here and talk about it and keep going...your taking control and nothing you put in your mouth will be as sweet as that!!!!!!!!

3/24/05

Today got off to a good start with

Breakfast 8am
3 egg whites 1whole egg scrambled with no butter or grease (good thing I have non-stick pans)
1/2 cup of oatmeal with raisins mixed no sugar no butter made with water
2 bottles 16.9 fl oz of water

15 min walk around our 90,000sq ft building

Snack 10:30am
Myoplex carb sense Protein drink and an fresh apple
1 bottle 16.9 fl oz of water

Thats if for right now lunch is going to be at 130pm

I just want to say THANK YOU SOOOO VERY MUCH for the support already flowing in. I'm going to be leaving my mark on everyones diary giving encouragement and support. My weigh in dates are going to be on saturdays so my next one is coming 3/26. :)

That is awesome that you have already lost 10 pounds. You know your diet sounds great to ffrom what you have posted and going to the gym too. Your one up on me..lol. Keep up the great work. :)

Once again thanks everyone for all the support its amazing... :D I'm slowly getting around to everyone's diary the overall message is I'm here if you need me...I had lunch around 1:30pm it consisted of

4oz portion of boneless skinless chicken breast grilled( I can remember when i could down a whole chicken by myself...finger licken good :rolleyes: ) I seasoned it with a little mrs dAsh. A little bit of Ketchup is what set it off though...(you'll notice i love ketchup)

You know I think Mrs Dash is just a season to trick your mind into thinking there is seasoning on there... I really don't taste nothing :confused:

1 cup of steamed Broccoli flowerettes no butter a little black pepper.
1/4 cup of Brown rice yield 3/4 when cooked(yuck but it cleans out the system pretty good ;) sorry for all those who are sensitive to that subject)

1 bottle 16.9 fl oz of water Ive taught myself to drink nothing but water the reason I say taught is because I was a real dr pepper head :eek: I'm so suprised I eased off of it so easily. I mean it was Dr pepper day in and day out I loved that stuff I'm limited down now to 1 DIET Dr pepper on my one cheat day which is usually Sundays ( I go to a Baptist church those of you who go also know what i'm talking about)

I'm feeling real good about this Life Change. I keep telling my friends that the enjoyment i'm going to get out of this is that I know I can work hard for something and also speaking from someone who has not seen themselves as a thin person I would really like to be the first witness. I think that is what keeps me going. Oh yeah and the fact that I have some HATERS that say I can't do it :mad: I get such joy in proving people wrong. I'm one of those people who when they tell me I can't do it I do it just to see their face crack :eek: and fall to the ground. LOL Anyway I'll write a little more later on you guys and gals stay strong
 
Hey, congrat's!! Having a new 'lifestyle change' can be hard but it seems like you are taking the bull by the horns!! I'm so happy for you! I understand about wanting to proove people wrong,its such motivation,lol. Sunday is a great day to ' cheat' after all , it is the day of rest!!
 
Good on you for making the decision to change your life. You sound excited and determined. Don’t worry about what other people say they will soon see the difference in you and wish they could have your determation.
 
Well I just got in from the gym I did a 45 min workout but mostly treadmill I figure that I'll just do tread and stairstep and when the weight drops just tone. 7:30pm is my dinner time I'm having

4oz Blackend grilled/baked Salmon seasoned with the mrs.
2 cups of zucchini squash medley (basically zucchini,squash and tomato mix)
and of course WATER.

I can't say how excited I am to lose big but I need to chill b4 I burn out.

Well this morning I woke up early which is a first i'm usually the last one to make it to work this time I was the first Yippee...Anyway I had the usual 8am breakfast but this time I treated myself to a single serving of maple and brown sugar oatmeal instead of just plain...Hope that doesn't hurt me

10am Myoplex shake and apple

On my 15 min break did a walk around our buildings the humidity is starting to set in MY GOODNESS (TX humidity is bad)

I really hope i'm out of the 290's when I weigh tomorrow I'm setting my goal at 10lbs a week to make it a little better. I think that will put me at goal 150 in July which will be good. But believe me it wont stop there...

Hey, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!! Don't take this the wrong way at all, please, but I hope you aren't wanting to loose 10 pds every week. Thats an awful lot. They say a healthy weight loss is 1 -2 pds a week. Also, again, don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to discourage you, but you have to be prepared there will be weeks you don't loose weight, its just part of the deal. I just want you to be prepared for it, so when it happends you don't fall apart, but keep your head up and keep going!!

Sounds like you are really kicking butt and you should be very proud of yourself!
 
Thanks for looking out I've been hearing that :) Mainly I'll be happy to lose any at any givin time but I'm not going to stress I'm going to just keep up what i'm doing(my life change) and whatever comes with that just comes. I feel losing weight is a bonus to what i'm doing eating healthy and having more energy thats all i really wanted...

HEY :eek: breakthru I've accomplished one of my goals and didn't even notice I've totally changed my eating habits its become natural to me to eat the breakfast I eat and the 4oz portions OMG I'm smiling really big right now :D

well I'm back still on schedule and weigh day is tomorrow I'm hoping another lb or 2 gone but I won't dwell. I've started my daughter on eating better my baby always wants mcdonalds and I can just kick myself in the butt cause it was me who started her like this...But that is going to change she is not going to end up like me. I had a good day today and i'm still full of energy and its 12pm but i'm going to lay down and hope to get to sleep the funny and good thing is i'm not hungry and thats a BIG STEP

Man I can't say anything else so goodnight and good luck to everyone on their weight loss destiny

u are making me wanna work out more! :D that's incredible! it just takes up so much time though, a half hour just to change and change back, another half to get to the gym and back. 20 min cardio , 20 min weights, 10 min stretching and 10 min procrasination and socializing lol. need to be more efficient overall!!

but anyways :p thanx for encouraging me! nite nite~
 
I'm really glad you're so excited and motivated about your weight loss. It's such a great feeling! I do agree with newbride, 10 pounds a week is way too much to lose. It can cause health problems. Doctors will tell you that a 1-2 pound loss a week is the right and healthy way to go, as that's real weight loss, not water weight, and that people who lose at a slower, steady pace keep it off longer. Also, since you want to lose 1/2 your body weight you might want to consider consulting a doctor about your goals and plans. You're doing great-make sure to have at least 1,200 calories a day, no less. Lots of fruits and veggies, whole grains...we all know how to lose weight, it's just a matter of doing it the healthy way. So far so good, I'm looking forward to seeing you reach your goals and getting to know you.
 
still going strong had a good hour workout today with my trainer I moved from 5lb weights to 8lbs :D
Only got my eggs in this morning I'll drink a protein shake at 1pm i'm feeling really good I feel better I havent had heartburn since I've been on my diet which is great. My trainer says i'm very hydrated (I did like 5 min on treadmill and was sweating like crazy) My current clothes fit alot better almost baggy and I can't wait till I go down a size:)

yeah girl believe me it takes me some time to get there but when I get there and I usually start on treadmill I get thru my workout just fine...I find music really helps I really don't know anyone there (wish I did but i'm so shy) but I find even on days that I don't want to go I just say ok 15 min and it usually comes out to be more.

Thank you soo much for the encouragement and support you two I don't know what I would have done. Oh yeah weigh in day I noticed this week is so confusing since I weighed myself like 3 times but I got out of the 290's I'm at 289.5 :)
 
well I was sorta worried well still worried I at a chickfil-a chargrilled sandwich for lunch(which was at 6pm :( ) about 270 cal and 3.5g of fat on a wheat bun I hope it doesn't affect me. I hate being off schedule today I was doing alot of running around for my daughters stuff for easter. That put my dinner at right now which is 9:30 I'm having a 4oz(measured raw) grilled steak with 2 cups of steamed squash. I usually don't go to bed until 12 or 1 so I'll do some dance revolution to try and make up for the late dinner ;)
 
270 calories and 3.5 grams of fat with a wheat bun isn't bad at all for lunch. You need calories and fat from good sources, and I would say that a lean meat like chicken, with wheat bread is a good way to get those calories and the fat. Especially if you had some lettuce and tomato on there. It's a whole nice little meal. I don't eat meat, but I still think that's an excellent lunch. Too bad you have to eat so late-I know a thing or two about that! I'm always running around between work and school and I hate eating late! You're doing a great job, keep it up!
