Well we seem to be keeping the same hours as well as the same food lol. I'm up with insomnia and hope I will get another hour in if I go back to bed now (been up since 4am eeeeeek!). But Rell your diet looks so much better and more natural than it used to be a few years ago. Girl that's how damn long I've been tracking you and been on this site lol.

Nah, we come and go here and there but we always find our way home. We will be battling our weight our whole lives, so I envision us involved in some kind of weight management forum for years to come..unfortunately lol.

So I'm eating my fruit cup right now, luckily there's a shop on the corner so I didn't have to clean and chop this morning. Scale at 149, but I have a feeling it went over 150 after my little birthday binge so I'm cool with that. If I get below 146, I will be below my recent plateau weight.

I wanted a pop and cheese burger so bad last night but didnt cave...

This morning I was starving and comtimplating frosted flakes we dont have alot at work that interests me...but i got busy and then had my slim fast shake im proud of myself...

Im a carb girl...on Tuesday I had a bbq burger (at home) so I had the bun with that and on wednes i had a kaiser bun with my hamburger soup...tha tis all the carbs/bread Ive had all week, im proud im doing it...

Im going for breaky today and since i dont do it often i would have like an omlette tha ti never finish and toast and hash browns and prob a pop...this am i will have an omlette and fruit...
 
Hey everyone. I don't know what i did yesterday but man am i sore. i don't remember working out unless you count carrying my 4 1/2 almost 5 year old who's 63 lbs around the house and in and out of the car and my 7 month old who's almost 19 lbs around the house. He wouldn't let me get outta his site yesterday. so if i went to the kitchen or anywhere he had to be with me.. lol gotta love kids. So needless to stay my abs and back feel like i worked out twice as much as normal. I plan on doing at least 30 minutes of ddr today and some workout on wii fit. I really want to start getting this weight off that i gained from this last pregnancy which is like 10 lbs in 6 weeks. when i found out i was preggo i stopped exercising and stuff cause of all the complications i have in my pregnancies. However.. i should have never done that.. so now i'm paying for it. Anyways.. i will put my measurements in my diary or on here later today and my workouts and food for the day and see what you all think.

Its great to see how hard you have started working on what you are eating...it gives me strength... thats what its all about, getting and giving strength to your friends. Had a pretty good day regarding food... and noooo I still havent taken my measurements...totally forgot to buy a tape measure...wish i could find mine.
Breakfast: out, fetta tomato omelet, bacon, toast, fruit salad, coffee with flavored creamer and water
Lunch: 1 cup shrimp, 1 apple (not eaten together....lol) water
Dinner: Dan cooked *woo hoo* small steak, corn on cob, zucchini on BBQ, water, 1/2 bun
Snack:watermelon
 
Well this no sugar/low animal protein diet is working well so far to shed the water weight, I was up peeing all night! Weight is now 147, one lb from my recent plateau weight. So if I follow this all dang weekend will we get below 146? I'd be shocked but bring it on dietttttttt. Here's what I ate yesterday:

Breakfast: fruit salad
Snack: apple w/ raw almond butter
Lunch: 1 egg fried in coconut oil; 1 sausage
Snack: 1 banana
Dinner: organic baby carrots w/ hummus; grilled chicken breast

I have been trying to have a proper balance of foods lately. It was either I ate too much veggies and fruit, and not enough protein, and than too much protein and not enough veggies and fruit. I am struggling with just eating because well for awhile there I just wasn't. Plus I don't have a budget for a lot of foods at the moment. So I am having a hard time with that.

I wonder if the Pill can cause miscarriages too? Err DUH that's what it's there for...NM ;)

I don't have facial hair, *knock on wood*, I am hairy though, I get it waxed as often as possible. I have looked a bit into Laser.

I'm kind of a hypochondriac....:ack2: lol I already have BPD and don't really need another handful of Shiat on my plate, I can barely hang on with this.

The 1.5 -2 Liters of water/ day that I am consuming has really helped a lot too.
I finally found some Non-lactose Skim Milk, now I wonder if one can get non-lactose yogurt, or eggs? Probably not the eggs...silly question.

I cook mainly chicken and fish.
I still have to have a sweet day, it's probably a poor choice of time too, as I've once again come to a screeching halt with my weight. 136 lbs for the last two weeks. I hope to drop at least one pound by next weekend.

I was eating far too little, now I have slowly brought it up to 1400...so I think that is some of the reason as to why my weight loss has also slowed, which is okay too, cuz I was also kind of upset that I might have been losing too fast. Just seemed surreal. Just as long as I am not at 136 lbs for a few months like I was with the 150 lbs. :ack2:

I've done not too shabby with this week's goal, of only checking my weight in the morning.

Thanks Omega for your detailed responses :). My hormones have certainly changed so significantly since I gave birth, and my endocrinologist had also raised the issue that women's metabolism's often change after pregnancy. I used to lose weight if I just cut calories and exercised. Not anymore but I will keep at it realizing I must be far more strict than I am used to being. More like our Margaret/Omega. Life's not fair. I used to lose weight (not that long ago) just cutting calories without it mattering what foods I ate. Well now it seems that maybe the key HAS to be the food? I have been good on my diet of avoiding all breads, rices and potatoe, as well as sugar and anything processed for 3 days now. I am proud of myself, but note how I'm always hungry on this diet and quite cranky..hence why I feel I need more fats so I hit up nuts and sausage, which Omega would never do...hunger's a bitch but I'm trying! Tonight my dad is taking us out for my birthday and I purposely chose Turkish over Italian as I know there are many things I can eat at the Turkish place, having lots of veggies and sesame/tahini based foods which fit this diet, I only need avoid the bread and rice, and order the chicken kebab..imagine the temptation at an Italian restaurant when you are a bread and pasta lover?! Tata all :).
 
Hey everyone, it's great to see that some of you have had a lot of success and it's very inspirational. I'm up for checking in and tracking my progress (and slip ups) to try and better keep on track. I was doing well the last week and then fell off the wagon pretty hard today, but tomorrow's a new day and it won't happen again- for a while, anyway- and I plan to make it to the gym more often and am looking forward to my clothes fitting better :) Good luck everyone and keep up the good work!

Well i had not such a great day on Friday...I went for breaky with a friend which was fine...typically i would get an omlete, and the toast adn hash browns...I wouldnt eat it all but still...so i had an omelete and got fruit on the side...so that was a big step and improvement for me...

I however had a large orange julious cuz i was feeling i needed something and then later on i had a medium frosty, with that alone i felt sick so i guess my eating habits have been changed enough to makie an impact on me...

so no p90x since w/e day i did, i guess realistically i should have waited a week to get back to our routines and schedules, i had 2 weeks off of my night shifts and ha ve been reajusting to geting abt into the routine...
 
Well I didn't work out yesterday or today. I spent a lot of time on a tractor and a 4 wheeler so I am really sore. My neck, mid back, lower back and right knee all have issues right now. My right leg has pain at night too, most likely stemming from my lower back. I am going to workout tomorrow morning though.
 
I have been lazy with my exercise the past few weeks. Been busy and obviously I'm making excuses. Thanks to reading about all you disciplined folks I feel ashamed :). So I'm mulling over what my exercise program should be for now. I want to do more HIIT so I think I will start with a goal of 15 mins on the elliptical, with 7 minutes of high intensity. I know its a wimpy goal but I'm being realistic given I'm exhausted by the time I get home from a long day at the office and finish dinner and dealing with my toddler. Weekends are better but we have my daughter's birthday party and my sister's coming for the weekend with her 2 small children. So we're just trying to get past this birthday party over here.

I was pretty good at dinner yesterday, though I wanted to cave on a piece of bread, my lovely dad said no :). I did cave on a tiny piece of baklava eeeeeeeeeeek! Other than that I had a piece of broiled fillet of meditterean bass w/ green salad, plus a shepherd's salad for appetizer and humus and baba ghanoush. All veggies basically except the baklava hehe.
 
hey everyone.. sounds like some of us had some ups and some downs. things get crazy during the week for all of us even those of us who don't have full time jobs. unless you count raising two small kids a full time job.. haha

anyways.. yesterday i got in an hour of ddr and then today we did 4 hrs of ddr. not sure on the cals i burned but it sure felt good to work out both days. now to see if i can keep it up. lol since mom goes back to work tomorrow morning and i'm alone with the boys. oh ya i weighed in at 239 lbs today which is down 3 lbs since the 7th of this month.
 
Well I had a great workout this morning. I was hoping it would help my back pain and it did for most of the day. I'm in a little bit of pain now but I think I am finally ready to go to bed after this post.

I did upper body, followed by 20 minutes on the eliptical, followed by 15 minutes of swimming sprints and a cool down. I ate ok except for two small pieces of cake at my nieces birthday part. Sorry, I can't resist a piece of cake.

I think my problem is I have reached a weight I am happy with even though I would still like to get to 185.
 
ooooook, as painful as this is going to be, I am posting my measurements.... I took them myself so that i could hopefully get the same area each month.
Neck : 16.5 inches
Chest: 55 inches
Under bust : 53.5 inches
Hips 60.5 inches
Upper thigh: 25 inches
Calf: 15 inches
Upper arm: 12.5 inches (may need to retake that measurement, was awkward to do)

Because i am so heavy, its a little hard to get totally accurate waist/hips measurements...but it will get easier as the weight comes of. (which it will!)

Goals I aim to accomplish:

- To lose one pound a week, or every two weeks, so be at my goal weight on August 23 or November 7.

- I really would like to lose these darn obliques, tummy, and thighs/bum..I've lost only a tad there

-Slowly incorporate a faster run time, and more distance

-Slowly incorporate other exercises..

-Get up at 4:30-5:00 again for my runs, and get to bed earlier

Goal I accomplished last week and will continue working on everyday.

-Take my 30 min walk for the day, in the afternoon, anywhere, bring the camera (This is Crucial for me) I tend to stay in due to anxiety about being out with ppl. It helps keeps things balanced. *CHECK*

One Goal To Work Towards This Week:

This week I would really like to work on only checking my weight once in the morning just after my run. IF I find myself going for a glimpse, it must ONLY be after my power walk in the afternoon, and only one foot.

I know this sounds strange, I have about a 30 year old scale, and ever since I've been checking it for weight loss the past two months, I would first step on with one foot, and it would be down slightly when my weight was where I wanted it, or up if I'd gained. ( ok I know this still sounds funny, cuz yea duh that's what happens) but with one foot, when I fluctuate during the day it is better for me to not know my exact weight with two feet. (so if that makes sense, well there u have it, and if not, tis ok, makes sense to me:D)

Oh but even when I'd fluctuate unless I'd gained it'd still be down and just with one foot! How Cool is that?!?! bcuz when I'd step on it with two feet when fluctuating it'd be higher, and that's just like self-sabotaging my emotions....cuz I just don't have the control yet in those area's to say so what...

Michelle that is great you took your measurements:)Claud I haven't been perfect either.I've had a few more carbs these last few days but nothing horrible...Derrick it is great that you are at a weight you are comfy with and I'm glad you were able to work out.running girl lol to your weighting with one foot.hey whatever works!lol
