How did everyone's first day go? Do you think all the charts should be posted here with the chit chat? Or do you think we need to get a new thread? I wanted us all to be on one "team" as opposed to separate teams, because we are all in this together and rooting for eachother. This is a rough time of year to keep up with exercise and diet.

This week's mini challenge is to replace the soda with WATER. Water is key to good health. Drink 6-8 cups of water a day. A lot of you are new here,so it seemed to be a good one to start with.

Even diet soda?? D: I'm not sure I'll be able to do thatttt D;
 
I've read that diet soda is every bit as bad for you as regular soda, so yea, ditch that too if you can!

Yeah. Diet soda is not good for you. Just less calories, but there's so much more to health than just calories. Ya know??? Try your best! Thats why its called a "CHALLENGE" haaha.
 
Theres tons of people who havnt' posted their 1st weigh in, whats up with that?

I don't know. I am not going to kick them out. Everyone can have their chance. But i assumed this was going to happen. Doesn't it always? lol.

No one is commenting!! How is everyone doing with their water intake? Is there anything else you want to talk about... like what you're doing for exercises? What are your favorite types of healthy food?

I have been doing great with my water. I went out and bought a 32 oz water bottle, and I bring it everywhere with me. I fill it up with tap water, because I'm trying to be "green" and kick the Poland Spring habit.

My favorite healthy foods that I have been eating are maple glazed chicken breast sandwiches on whole wheat bread, and the Green Giant Steamers-Broccoli and Cheese. YUMMMMM. Its so good, and feels so naughty. lol.
 
Hey everyone, how's it going?
I've been doing okay, I’ve started working out again and I've been able to keep my calories under control for the past few days.
I'm writing down everything I eat and my biggest problem right now are snacks, I'm just really addicted to cereal bars and crap like that, they never make me go over my cals but it's a lot of sugar and carbs so it’s a habit I’m trying to get rid of.
Today started out okay, but I had sushi for lunch, my aunt bought some sushi for me and my sis and I'm having trouble figuring out the cals. I'm guessing it's around 550/600, it was one roll (8 pieces) wrapped in avocado, with shrimp and cream cheese (plus the usual rice and seaweed).
It wasn't the healthiest lunch but oh well it's better than the big bowl of pasta with creamy Alfredo sauce I used to have on Sundays :p and my calories are still under control so yay.
Anyway hope everyone's doing great :)
 
neveragain- great job on keeping your calories under control! Writing everything down keeps you responsible for what you eat, and you can look back and see the good from the bad days. Bravo.

Yeah, been doing ok. Its getting warmer here, so drinking lots of water/soda water (no sugar in this). I haven't had soda in awhile so my goal is to cut out fruit juice over this week.
Exercise was bad last week coz of study and work, but i'll try to be better this week. Finish study on Fri :D
How's everyone else going?
 
Wow Korrie, congrats!! That's freaking amazing :)

Hey so quick question, I eat roughly the same amount of calories everyday, even on the days I work out, is that okay or should I increase them a bit?
I just started working out though so I don't do that much anyway :p

Anyway, hope everyone's doing greattt!! Keep up the good work :)
