I think I might struggle with this week's task on occasion. I drink a lot, but I need to take in over 4 litres according to that formula. I think I need to get a port-a-potty to drag around with me.....*lol*
 
I'm assuming no, and I don't personally drink them, but in case others do- would sports drink count? Like gatorade or powerade?
 
Boy, I gotta be honest. I wasn’t expecting my brain to get such a workout in this challenge. I’m NOT complaining, just trying to make sense of all of these challenges and logs.

For the water drinking bonus, am I figuring this correctly? Math was never my strong subject.

Weight as of this morning was 196 even.

196 / 2 = 98
98 x 29.5735 = 2898.203
2898.203 - .203 = 2898ml

I drink the 16.9fl oz bottles of water = 500ml according to the label
2898ml / 500ml = 5.796fl oz

Therefore, I’d need to drink 6 bottles of water?
 
Yeah, your math is right, and I'm in the same boat, Mandy. I'm trying, but, I find that unless I'm eating I can't do more than a few sips of water at a time. I have 2 bottles of 710ml I bring with me to work, but it gets tough when I get home >.<

I'm at least trying to drink 2L (2130) of water so I can get 1 point.
 
Yay! Got my math right. That's a pretty rare occurance! LOL

I can get 2 liters down no problem. Usually that's all I get in during the day. Every now and then I get 2.5 liters. Drinking too much water makes me feel really bloated, but I'll give it a shot. I've already lost out on today and yesterday's bonus points for water.
 
131.5 this morning for me so...
131.5/2=65.75
65.75*29.5735=1944.457625=1945mL
FT work bottle is 590mL so...
1945/590=3.2966 so my aim is 3.5 bottle by that. But my other bottle is about 750mL - so then it's just over 2 of 1 and 1 of the other. Shall see how tomorrow goes for that!

I too can feel bloated if I drink lots of water without eating enough so not sure how it will all work out.
 
Everyone always feel like they are drowning / swimming in water when they first start trying to do this... And forever visiting the toilet...

I am drinking 5 bottles of water - and it is a struggle... I well remember what a struggle it was for me when I was bigger......

Luckily I have an hour of light aerobics and 2 hours of hardcore zumba today and I know that I will get through more than the 5 bottles of water in those classes alone... I need to drink regularly while doing cardio... The other days - it is much more of a struggle...
 
Dan16316 has never posted in the team thread at all. He never set starting data in his scoresheet which I created for him. He has only made 6 actual postings on the forum and has not posted since 13th January when he asked to join the challenge... In the team thread - I announced a deadline for him of 8 a.m. GMT Monday (which is 24 hours after the challenge deadline for the week - and now assume that he changed his mind and decided to not join the challenge at all...

I will remove him from his team (replacing with a dummy player until someone new joins).

If he looks in - I suggest that he watches and plays alongside us - and maybe joins in on the next one...

Players not only work hard but encourage others by announcing what they are doing and otherwise support other team members - so regular posting is part of the game. Players are probably aware that they have posted their food since the day that the challenge began.
 
Big confession time! I had found our Purple Team thread but had not found this one at all until today! That is why I was so confused and behind! Now I'm better on track!

I always drink a liter of water first thing when I wake up and I need about 111 ounces for the challenge. I get 4 liters most days and even 3 liters is enough for the points, so I should do well on the water challenge.

This is becoming more fun as I catch on to the instructions!
 
Nothing worth having in life is easy! This is a tough challenge, but it is a great way to condition us to drink more water :).
 
I am still waiting for scoresheets from people on both teams...

I suspect that some people do not know what to enter so am giving extra time...

If anyone is confused as to how to represent their work - especially when it comes to logging food or thinking about their moods when they had naughty things - they should get in touch with me.

I want to add that people who had days when they had no naughty food can claim the point for that day - since there was no naughty food for them to think about... This aspect appears to have caused confusion.
 
I note that Mands of the Orange team has never posted in her team thread at all (never setting up her start data) and has not posted on the forum since 13th January.

If I do not hear from her by 6pm GMT today (Wednesday) I will assume that she decided not to join the challenge. If I do not hear from her in that time - I will assume that she changed her mind and decided not to play at all - and remove her from her team thread.
 
The deadline elapsed 3.5 days ago - so I have been more than lenient with waiting for late scoresheets.

Its the end of another week - time to get weighed and wonder what task is in store for the week starting Saturday.

Week 3 bonus.

Fruit and vegetables should be central to a healthy food plan. They not only fill us up so we do not want to eat so much higher calorie stuff - but they are full of nutrients which help us stay healthy.

It would appear that the traditional 5-a-day recommendation is fairly modest compared to the latest scientific thought on the subject.

Many of us do not manage to have 5 portions of fruit or vegetables a day though.

It is all too easy to neglect vegetables in favour of fruit - I am apt to do this myself. Vegetables are often lower in calories because of the natural sugars that are in fruit.

I am going to set as a bonus this week - eating 5 portions of fruit or vegetables every day - but I am going to specify that at least 3 portions of vegetables should be included in this. Filling up on vegetables should assist us in our weight control.

I will give 2 points for every day when you do this.

In the context of the challenge - items that are traditionally considered to be vegetables but botanically fruit such as tomatoes, courgettes, cucumber etc are counted as vegetables...



Potatoes do not count for this challenge.

Mark it on your scoresheet as FFFFFFF if you manage to do this every day.

I will also give you 1 point for every day that you list your food - as you have done in the previous two weeks

Mark it on your scoresheet as LLLLLLL if you manage to do this every day.
 
I am going to do pretty well in this week's challenges most days! I have mostly fruits and vegetables most days! :)
 
Ooooh yeah, I eat a lot of fruit and veggies!
