20 something club?

I think I'm going to be in the 160s by Feb! ^_^ ahhhhh

I have to be honest about something. I'm very glad that I didn't try to lose weight fast. I didn't try to lose massive amounts of weight in say 2 months just so that I can be slender quicker. I've learned so much doing it this way. 1-2lbs a week has allowed me to discover new things about myself and develop habits for maintaining a proper weight forever. I'm healthier by the day!

Thank you friends for your continued support. You're so awesome!

I am 23 :) and my first goal is 135 lbs (I am like 3 pounds away). and ideally, i would like to end up 125 lbs. :) yay for support.

You're only 3 pounds away from your first goal? Congrats! How will you celebrate? Maybe going out and picking up a new pair of pants in your new size ^_^

Good way to go! That's what I'm doing now instead of what I used to do. Going slow allows me to get used to a new lifestyle with lower-calorie, healthier food :) plus regular exercise.

.

I think (hope) i'll get to 160 in feb too. Weighed in at 174.2 this morning and have my eating and exercise back on track so im hopeful! Lets get to 160 woop!!

Hello All!

I'm 26 (I'm feeling older than the rest of you 20-somethings)! :)

I began my weight loss journey a month ago! And I've lost -3lbs! (And added a pound of muscle!)

I've always been overweight, but I had been happy. Over the past few years, I grew..and grew...and grew!! And I'm at my heaviest! I started at 208lbs, and I'm down to 205lbs.

I would like to lose 30lbs within the next few months, and a longterm goal to of 60lbs!

Some of you have mentioned hating summer- I have NEVER worn a short sleeve top out in public!!! This summer I am determined to wear cute little dresses and flaunt my fantastic figure!

My weight loss is not only about being healthy and reducing my risk for chronic disease- but I also want to be happy with myself, and confident!

cheers for all of us for making the first step! :)

Hey guys. Figured I would come join my age appropraite club, lol. I'm 25. I started at 194.8 lbs and am now at 172.2. My goal is 125. I'm in a size 12 now and hope to be in a size 6 once I hit goal. I'm doing weight watchers online.

I can so relate to covering up in the summer. I never, ever, wear shorts, even when its 100+ degrees outside. I hate, hate, hate my legs. I carry a ton of weight in my thighs. The only time I wore shorts in the last ten years was in 06/07 when I managed to get down to 135 and a size 8. My legs still weren't perfect, but I felt confident enough to wear them. I wanna get my confidence back!

I won't even wear dresses because most of them are knee-length, and I am so self-conscious of my knees. I know that sounds funny, but because of the fat on my thighs I live little rolls on my knees that no one else seems to have. They are gross. The only time I've worn dresses is with leggings underneath, but it's silly to do that in the summer.

I'm hoping to lose enough wait to feel confident enough to wear a bikini this summer! (Even if it's not until August.) We have a really cool water park near us, and I haven't been in years because I hate wearing a bathing suit.

Like someone else said, I do kind of feel like I "am wasting the best years of my life" since I'm in my 20s and fat.

Hello Everyone!

I'm a 24 year old male returning to this site for the first time in a couple years. I'm 6'3 and 3 years ago I lost about 80 lbs from 280 down to 200 (I have a thread around here somewhere). Over the last 3 years I have slowly added 20 back so I'm now at 220.

I recently decided to try and get down to 180 because I have a lot of fat in my midsection, at which point I'd like to add about 20 lbs of muscle. This is my first week back into training so I figured I'd check in and say hi to everyone. My weigh in day is Monday.

Welcome to the club!

I brought snacks earlier. Help yourself.

There isn't anymore crackers and hummus though *cough* tob *cough*

BikiniBound- what a fabulous goal!!! I have never worn a bikini (and only rarely wear a bathing suit!)

Hi DaMan!! :)

And thank you for the snacks Emerald! They will help me through my work and evening class :)

So I was supposed to start my exercise routine monday but that didnt happen.. So today is the day.. I did my routine and I actually feel a bit better then normal.. Of course my muscles hurt hoping I'm hoping to get over that. lol Anyway Weigh in day is Saturday.. We will see what happens..

.

Imjustme - i started exercising again properly on monday, and on tuesday i was hurting so bad lol! Just gotta get back into the swing of it again :) im surprisingly motivated now at the gym its great i just kept going on the crosstrainer thingie for 40 mins.

I hated it too last summer, i did try to wear some summery clothes but just ended up feeling frumpy and wobbly lol. Ughh.. Well summer is on its way again and we'll all hopefully look and feel better this time around :)

Hi everyone! My name is Erin, I'm 25 and I'm currently 9 months pregnant. I'm due in a couple of days and can't wait to start working out again. I'm getting married Sept 10th so I'm trying to lose as much weight as possible by that date. This group is a great idea, hopefully I'll get some good tips from you guys.

Hello everyone,
My name is Jess and i do not have a clue how this site works... I am your typical early 20's girl who is within 25 lbs of my goal weight...I am only 5 ft but I weight about 130...I always weighed about 107 until 4 years ago when I got married...It seems like no matter what i do or try i can not lose more than 5 lbs and KEEP IT OFF...i feel hopeless and I open to any advice or pointers...

Hi Vivas! I know for myself it's always been a battle of keeping my weight stable! I think every one is different - for me I know regular exercise and keeping a healthy diet will work :) Now it's just sticking to it :)

My granny calls that "happy weight" lol
I've known my husband about 10 years but we've been married for 3. He put on happy weight when I got married too. LOL But he's lost 50 pounds like I have so far.

Well May i make a suggestion. start a food diary on the food diary page and start keeping tabs of what you are eating. Figure out your BMR and cut it by 500 calories if you can. You shouldn't go below 1200 calories a day. And start Walking... haha people are sick of hearing me say this but its so easy! and it works. start walking three times a week then when you are comfortable up the days and the mileage as you see fit.
Good luck keep me posted.
