10 pounds loss Diary

Hello, thank you for your replies. I haven't any progress during the last days in my weight loss program. For example yesterday i didn't eat proper meals only some sweets and some cereals (not big quantity) and in the morning i was the same and probably more weight than the previous day that i had eaten normally during noon but nothing after. I am confused because the amount of food that i limit didn't really have a result. The truth is that i don't exclude from my daily meals the sweets something that i excluded in daily basis the previous year. But this period of year there are a lot of things to deal with and sweets offer me some relaxation. I think i need them. I can say that i follow some exercising plan not very strict but i go to gym some times during the week. My really temptation is food when i am at home and i want to relax the first thing is going to the kitchen. I think i should take care of sweets again and limit bread and similar products. My motivation isn't very high at this time of year i think it's at lower point. I would like to have a simple advice and a simple rule to follow in order to get back on track and lose at first these extra 5 pounds that i gained after summer.

Hello, it has been one year since i wrote in this diary for last time! I decided to get back here as i am really in despair. Not only i haven't lost 10 pounds so far but i 've really got 8 pounds more! I don't like this and i want to get on track again. I would like your advices if you have found a diet that really works or an exercise pattern really effective. Because i am still exercising i don't know if these extra pounds are muscles or fat. Anyway i want to get back to my usual pounds as a first goal and then continue for the second goal of 10 pounds loss. I would like to ask if anyone knows how much should be the percent of fat in the whole weight in a woman for being slim?

Welcome back! I don't know a good answer to your question, I would probably end up Googling that, but good luck and I'm looking forward to hearing your progress! For myself personally, a high-protein, fiber rich diet has been keeping me feeling full, energized and dropping pounds. Do some measurements on yourself so you have a starting point, because it's not always about the number on the scale. I've had to learn that after nearly having a breakdown about it, haha. :)

The extra weight is most likely fat, it takes a lot of dedication and hard work to build that much extra muscle.

before anybody can help you in a meaningful way you will need to post more information. What does your current diet consist of ? (food and calories) What exercise are you doing ? do you know your current bodyfat %

Thank you for your answers. I will do some measurements on myself but the thing that actually i want to improve is the circumference around the belly button that i see that it has increased with the extra pounds i have gained during the last 4 months. That actually bothers me and i see that the jeans i used to wear before some years don't fit me any more! One thought is to skip the meal after 8 pm in the evening but sometimes it is the only really meal of the day as i return home late during weekdays. I don't know if i reduce or skip it sometimes it will really help. I will do some trials anyway to see if i have any result.Another thing that i think is to buy a machine like tradmill so as to make exercise for half an hour every day no matter how tired i may feel during the evening. Because although i want i don't really have time to go to gym during weekdays.

exercise at home is a good option but buying a treadmill can be expensive. A good option at home is exercise videos, there is a lot of variety, so finding one within your ability and actually enjoy is a reasonable possibility.

Skipping meals as part of an intermittent fasting plan can work well but you have to ensure your meeting your nutritional needs if you follow that path.

Hello! After a long time i decided to write in my diary again. It has passed more than one year since the last time i wrote in my diary. However, so long, i haven't made any progress in my weight loss and actually i gained 5 pounds more. I think this happened because i don't keep a strict diet during the day. As i have a lot of things to do during the day it is really hard to keep a strict diet for a long time. I continue to avoid sugar and sweet things but i eat a lot of carbs during the day specially in the morning. I think i really can't avoid them because i won't have any energy for my works. I eat a lot of fruits and not so much meat. After the noon i eat things with flour of whole grain but during the morning i eat things with carbs of white flour and cheese. Another thing is that, i am stressed this period of year for a lot of things and i can't really get relaxed except the time i am sleeping that it is about 6 hours during the week days. I try to go to the gym when i have time but it is about 2 times in a week. I recently bought a cross trainer machine for exercing at home. I hope to make exercise with this. I haven't started yet. I don't know if i would like exercising at home. I will try anyway. I think i need a mental support and i need talking about diet and fitness. My first goal at this moment is to lose 6 pounds of fat, limiting the food i eat because of stress and not the main food that i really eat once a day during the afternoon, and it isn't so much.

141 lbs today. I made really progress during weekend! Today i reached the weight i was before one year. Now i try not gain any pound and to go toward the weight i was before 2 years. I don't really think i am hungry but i feel a little tired. I don't know if it is from the diet or i want more rest. Anyway i try not change my diet plan and this week. I am determined this time to go back to the weight i used to have before some years. It seems it works for the time and i hope my progress continues.

Welcome back to your diary! Just remember that your weight can fluctuate a few pounds up and down day to day, so what you're really looking for is a long term trend. That's great that you had a successful first weekend back at it! It makes sense that you might be a bit tired when you start adding in more activity. Give yourself some time to get used to it again. If you continue to feel tired, then you might have to consider that you may not be giving yourself enough fuel for your activity level.

Thank you for your reply. It's true, my weight fluctuates during the week but i try to stay to the long term trend. For example today i am 142 lbs nearly but i know that there will be this fluctuation. I can't say that i feel hungry during the day because i eat some things. The feeling of tiredness it is very strong some times especially in the morning but i am not sure that it is due to the diet. It's sure i need some additional rest and i think that i need a little work out at the gym. This will give me energy. I have in mind to go to the gym this week after nearly 3 months.I'll try with these two things this week but i am determined to stay on track with my diet.

After nearly one month and half i am now at 139 lbs. It is some progress and i think it is stable because i don't feel a lot of hungry during the day. Of course i would like to advance quicker to my goal but it's good that i have some progress without very strict diet. So i think i don't feel extreme tiredness and i can continue.

Losing weight slowly is definitely progress & is more sustainable long-term. You're doing well, Aby :)

Hello. It has passed a lot of time since my last post here. The reason is i let the diet for some months and as a result i gained weight. Now i want to start again to reach the point i was before 1 year and then to continue. I realized that if i leave myself without a diet programme my weight easily increases. I feel some disappointment about left that happened but now i can only start over again.

Hi, Aby & welcome back. I feel disappointed that I have regained too, but it's important that we don't give up. Let's do this!
