Working Out in the Winter

The executive committee in our lawfirm just told us to leave work now because the weather is so bad, we might not make it home if we wait another 30 minutes. I guess we've had a weather warning again.

So I'm going home :) Hope I make it!

It's -39°C(with the wind chill) here. It doesn't usually get this cold until January. :biggrinsanta:

Where are you in Canada? -39°C is pretty damn cold.

It was -40°C here with the windchill this morning. I had to get to an appointment this morning, and my manual transmission was friggin' stiff ... the transmission fluid must have been half frozen :D

I live in that province you can draw with 4 lines. :xmas: Yeah I saw a few people having problems starting their car. I don't have a car so I don't have to worry about that. :)
I walked to Subway(5-10 minute walk) to get breakfast in my new jacket, but I think my jacket made things worse. The wind goes through my jacket and it felt like my jacket was keeping that cold wind inside my jacket. lol Does that make sense to you?
good thing I still have my old winter jacket with me.

You're a stubble jumper? Half your province lives in Alberta :D My next door neighbors are from SK. They're tons of fun! :)

Yeah, when it gets cold in SK, it stays cold. At least it's dry cold. Can you imagine living in Winnipeg? That's humid cold and that would be horrible.

And I know exactly what you mean about the coat :D

It is sooooo cold here today. The high today is -27°C (-38°C with the wind chill). The low was -29°C. Once it hits -24°C, I can't tell the difference between that and -40°C other than by noting how fast my skin and fingers start to freeze.

I was out today for 5 minutes and I didn't have the heavy duty gloves on. The ends of my fingers were completely frost-bitten. Then you come into the house, take your gloves off, and weeeeeeeeeeeeehooooooooooooooooooo your fricking fingers hurt like hell from the circulation coming back into them.

I F'ing HATE it when it's this cold.

What's a stubble jumper? A Farmer? lol you're probably right about half my province living in Alberta. :yelrotflmao:
I've always heard about Winnipeg being a pretty cold place. I wonder if there's a forum member here that's from Winnipeg. We can ask him/her.:xmas:
I know what you mean about the fingers hurting. My ear actually got frost bitten 2 years ago.
I actually like winter because that's the only time when I get good quality SLEEP.

The terrain in SK is very flat ... so we call you guys stubble jumpers because that's the tallest thing you'll ever have to jump over :p

I thought everyone in SK knew they were stubble jumpers ...

:yelrotflmao: So that's what a stubble jumper is. Actually, I've never heard anyone say stubble jumper before.
Today it's -20°C (-24°C with the wind chill). So it's pretty nice outside. Hows the weather other there? :xmas:

Well, for some reason, today the high is going to be -10°C. But we're back in the deep freeze tomorrow.

Sometimes in Calgary it's like "Don't like the weather? Wait a minute ..."
