Nothing wrong with not playing if you don't enjoy it! I caught up to my previous longest Wordle streak of 104 wins in a row. If I can guess tomorrow's word it'll be a new personal best.
I would never have guessed the purple category: even with the solution I couldn't work out who they were. Could be because their popularity is limited to the US or it could be because I don't listen to a lot of rap and remember names anyway.

glad i gave up trying to see the rappers connection... why it is even considered music has always been a mystery to me. even knowing the answer now, i still don''t recognize any of them.

from your answer, i assume you don't play music, so it would be difficult for me to convey an explanation.
But if I do it'll be the wrong kind, or I won't be good enough to understand your amazing opinions, so it really doesn't matter what I say. Exactly the way it was with those other kinds of music that are now widely accepted even if not everyone likes them. Let's just agree to disagree on this one.

got Lucky ____ and Gift Giving Accessories, but still don't know what "SWIPE" has to do with Dating Apps (entering a credit card for an escort service?) and i have never used any of those "cool" words.

Flyer, my online dating experience predates this by several years but on mobile dating apps you swipe from pic/profile to pic/profile until you find someone you like the look of. I think you swipe left to reject someone and right to accept them. If both people choose to accept you match and you can see that is the case so you'll know messaging someone might bear fruit.
