I just realized: tomorrow will be my 500th game and I'm at 97% wins right now. Assuming that's exactly 15 losses I'll need a perfect row of 101 wins until it starts rounding up to 98%. Is that right? Of course I could be at 17 fails. In which case I'd need to get to 680 without misses. Or 13. Then it'd only be 520. Now see me fail tomorrow...

since i have notice previously my % went from 99% back to 100%, the calculation must be rounded, not truncated. so with a 97% at 500 games, you could have as few as 13 losses (97.4%) or up to 17 losses (96.6%).

if you have 13 losses, you only have to make up 0.10%.
13 / 0.025 = 520... you will get to 97.5% (for a 98% when rounded up) after only 20 more wins.

if you have 17 losses, you will have to make up 0.90%
17 / 0.025 = 680... you will get to 97.5% after 180 more wins.

the case you made (100 more wins) is the median, right between the two extremes.
