What Supplements do YOU take?

Whey with L-Glut
Multi vit
Creatine mono
extra virgin olive oil, as a shot b4 bed.
cod liver oil caps.
dextrose - to add to preworkout shake or water.

By the way... People spend huge amounts on mass gainer products, when a bad of dextrose is well cheap. Grab a bag, add it to your whey shake and save yourself around 30% on all your powders.

none.... :D

Whey consentrate. wpc 80%
creatine mono, ethyl ester for cutting
ephedrine hcl for cutting.
Lots of brown sugar added to my shakes.

Brown Sugar? Don't you get an insulin spike and then crash with simple sugar? Something like a banana an hour before would be better IMO than simple sugar.

Brown sugar goes in my post workout shakes.
It maybe better to use a faster GI sugar like dextrose but I like the taste of pure organic unrefined brown sugar. Its my household sugar for baking, tea ect, so its easier.

I see. Some people have dextrose & maltodextrin added to a PWO shake but I just have a banana. I was considering getting dextrose & maltodextrin now that I have reached my goal regarding squats (see earlier post) as part of carb-cycling but I'll just stick to a banana/oats.

wow

I´ve never heard of most of the supplements, you guys have mentioned. I only take one product, levocaptine, which is an all natural slimming supplement. ingredients are Garcinia Cambogia Extract (HCA), Green Tea extract, Ginseng, Whitethorn, Coffee Extract, Lotus leaves and L-Carnitine.

Syntha-6

I have used many protein shakes namely On Whey, Nitrotech, CytoSport MuscleMilk but I can assure one thing, Syntha 6 beats them all. Having tried it for 2 weeks now I might not be able to judge how effective it is on muscle growth but the fact that it has 2 things that amaze me... 1) It blends so well, with milk, with water -- purely effort less 2) It tastes THE BEST(I loved MuscleMilk BananaCream but I guess this one is a little better for the same flavour) The only thing I am not so happy about. . . I guess its a little heavy for my pocket and now since my brother tasted it, he just wants more and more :). I found really good site that has the lowest prices and fast shipping. check out strongernutrion.com

  • multivitamin
  • fish oil
  • calcium+vitamin D3 (recommended by my gastroentrologist to reduce likelihood of possibly cancerous colon polyps)
  • vitamin B complex (recommended by my radiation oncologist)
  • vitamin E (I forget why)
  • lutein etc. for vision (good evidence this reduces incidence of macular degeneration)

50mg of Zinc- for immune system help and aided protein synthesis
1200mg of Omega 3 Fish oils - "lubrication"
1200mg Vitamin C - Immune system
Multi Vit - cause I don't eat veggies and every nutrient helps in this ridiculous program I have.
Protein shake (has creatine and whey isolate in it) 3x daily

I take nothing, I just try and keep my protein content high by eating a lot of sprouted pulses, beans and a heck of cereals. It keeps my body good toned up in protein levels.

ASN HP100 protein 2 x day - I use this because I need a low/no lactose protein.

Looks like multivitamin and fish/flaxseed oil are the norm for most. A couple of questions in regards:
1. Has anyone ever stopped one or both and noticed a change without it?
2. Which is better flaxseed or fish oil? Both are for Omega3. Is it a case of chose one and see what it does?
3. Which multivitamin... something like Centrum or a more specific brand? I'm wanting to start on multivit for more energy, I feel badly lethargic in the afternoons.

My supps:
Multi
Fish Oil
Whey

To answer your question above, fish oil is much better. The amount of flax that turns into EPA/DHA in the body is VERY small, something like less than 5-10% of it.

My recommendations for a good multi are Puritan's Pride Iron Free Green Source, NOW Adam, SportPharma multi. Most of the multi's out there are comparible though, depending on if you have very specific goals in mind. Just don't get one with Iron in it.

Why is that?
