Baths are fine. There's nothing filthy about the human body, (I mean unless you were rolling around in manure or something), so a nice relaxing soak can be nice every once in a while.

Men should not:
Wear the color pink unless they're taking roles in the old Miami Vice shows.
Paint their finger nails or wear make up.
Get tattoos of butterflies
Men should:
Know how to change a tire and vehicular fluids
Know how to tie a tie
Open doors for women, the physically handicapped, and the elderly

I'm not with ya on the opening doors for ladies. Sure, sometimes it's cool to be a gentleman, but sometimes I think it looks stupid when some whipped dude is running around opening the doors for a lady. You know, they can open doors themselves

Even if you're tougher than everyone in the gym, you're still at 24 Hour Fitness. Even if you tap 100 people out in a row, you wouldn't want to get in a fight in prison or something...

Before my Father-in-law passed in January (76), I changed his diapers, gave him showers, fed him and cleaned him up afterwards, helped him get in his wheel chair, prepared him for bed, helped him into one of our cars, wheeled him around the grocery store (and he would drool, and people would look at us), etc.
This man wasnt blood related to me.
But my wife loved him as it was her father, as such I love him, and gave her the male side of support she needed.
In addition, I showed respect, and most importantly, I set an example for my adult children.
There are so many ways for a man to be strong, other than brute strength.
Some woman have strength in them that a man can only wish to possess.
As a man, may I always "keep my heart hungry" and bring out the strength of the woman I love and my childen.
A good man supporting a woman, is absolutely PRICELESS.

Being ' a man ' has nothing to do with one's physical appearance, physical capabilities, etc. etc. - it all has to do with one's character, integrity etc. - the moral compass by which you conduct your life IMO.
I also don't associate exhibiting masculine behavior as being a necessary part of ' being a man ' either - that's simply a gender role issue.

I mostly agree, but I think the two sides of your being are linked.
A lot like the ancient Greeks, I believe that physical and mental attributes are equally important and that a healthy mind should come hand in hand with a healthy body.
I think that over grooming amongst men is indicative of low self esteem and their general level of weakness displays either a lack of self respect or laziness.
I see this on the news all the time, they'll show someone get mugged or attacked on the street and everyone looks the other way to avoid getting involved. Why is this? Every young man should feel a sense of responsibility to protect those that need help and should be in the right physical shape to do it
We had an attempted terrorist attack here in London a couple of years back where a man tried to detonate a bomb in his rucksack. It didn't detonate properly so everyone ran away except for an off duty fireman who chase after the bomber and detained him. That is what a man is for! To use what he was given by nature, his strength, for a good cause. A weaker man might not have been able to detain that terrorist and he would have been free to blow up a different train
Strength allows us to do great things, why not be as strong as we can be both mentally and physically in order to be the best person we can be. Not just Mr Pecs and Abs
Everyone who didn't go and chase that failed bomber's ass down failed to act in accordance with what you are referring to. So they are defined by weakness, cowardice, etc. I don't think it's restricted to weak people in the gym.
If I was being beat up by a group of thugs, I wouldn't think twice to thank and respect whoever threw in to help me out. Regardless of chest hair, ability to fix cars, eyebrow cleanliness, or effeminism.
