What do you? Professionally

Nanny for four...Looking to use my teaching degree in an actual classroom within the next year or so. My job definitely keeps me healthy and active. It also allows me to influence the children I watch in a positive way since I prepare the meals and am in charge of activities and such. All of them are under the age of eight and they can easily identify between a healthy food and a once-in-awhile food. I think that's pretty neat.

Computer Operator (official title) but I do a hell of a lot more.

I'm also a college student of English and philosophy.

Job

Well the title is "Manager of Technical Services" for a Software Company. But I do a little bit of everthing. I'm project manager for Installs, and the Tech Support Desk, I also am the IS manager for the office, and getting into VB programming. I love my job and I've been here now for only 2 years and I'm not planning on leaving anytime soon.

I am a professional dance instructor. i own a studio and teach ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop...etc to children and teens. however, my husband doesnt consider this a real job, since it is also a hobby of mine, how would u suggest i prove him wrong?

Make money doing it or bitch about it at the end of the day.

Hey HEy! it is too a real job, you try having control over fifteen little kids, plus showing results at the end of the year, and from year to year have a different bunch of routines! its tough i tell ya. thats like saying dancing is not a sport!
and whats up with bitching about? i dont get it whos bitching him? he is! thats coz hes a little bitch lol...sorry tone, but sometimes u are!

Never ceases to amaze me where peoples lives lead them

I'm an 'Automation Engineer'. Sounds a lot more interesting then it is. In reality I make sure the robotic arms in your local GM/Ford/Toyota plant don't do the wroung thing.

Bit like a dog trainer. For steel.

Do I like it? Did at first, but then it was all new. Been in four years now. Money could be good, but I'm not a die hard capitalist whose prepared to slave in a job I don't like regardless of cose.

I am lucky though. My girlfriend is a self-employed hair stylist and earns buckets of cash - I'm serious - so thanks to that I can afford to change. Which means September this year I'm off to University (or College as the Yanks have it) to study History and American Studies. I can't wait to be honest as History is my first passion in life. The American Studies I took up because I can do a one year exhange in Austin, Texas if I want for my third year. So whilst I'm studying I'll be returning to lifeguarding which is a job I loved as a teenager so all in all, its looking up...

Was in financial services for years selling insurance, annuities, retirement plans and such. HATED IT!

Now I am starting my own copywriting biz and working on a book. LOVE IT!
It's so much more satisfying to say I'm a freelance writer than it is to say I'm an insurance salesman.

oops

I am a Manager at a major US Telecom company, I am the guy that makes sure the network is functioning and that we can chat via phone or computer. It's a interesting job, but as any other job it can get boring, after all it is a job.

My wife is a pharmacist, which I call a legalized Drug Dealer...LOL She enjoys it, but in retail customers can be brutal.

Hope all does well in there careers and finds something they truly enjoy, which some of you do.

If I were to get laid off, I think I would go into the landscaping Design business, that is interesting to my little brain. :p

darn it! i did it again! sorry, i repeated the thread again...lol!! :D
