Weighted Clothing

i understand that a recovery time would be a good idea.
what if i was to wear the weights for a day then sleep at night without them would that be enough or would it be more like one day with them on, then one day with them off?
also how heavy should i start off with, for:

ankle:
wrist:
vest:

thanks for the advice.

p.s i know resistance training is good but i wanted to look into this, after all this is still resistance training.

Its nice to see people posting in here. I haven't been on in awhile.

As for an update:
I no longer own that weighted vest to bought many years ago. I am now a senior in college and am thinking about training again.

Reply for caltex:
I would start off with:
ankle: 2-5lbs
wrist: 1-4lbs
vest: 10-20lbs

But I must warn you. You need to be in good shape before you start training with these weights. I suggest start training without these weights and slowly introduce them into your workouts. YOU WILL WRECK JOINTS IF YOU START OFF WITH TOO HEAVY OF WEIGHTS.

As for the rest time i would give a day break for the first few weeks then switch to wearing the weight all day. (of course taking them off for sleep and shower)

If you have any questions, comments or ideas please by all means post! I like posting about this subject.

From everything I have read about weighted clothing, it seems like it can be a real boost to workouts. The only word of caution that I have consistently heard is to be careful when training with ankle and wrist weights because when you take them off if you are not careful you run a risk of hyper-extending ligaments and tendons throughout your legs and arms. But as long as you are careful in what exercises you do, then from everything I've read it should be perfectly healthy and effective.
