Weight Watchers

i'm the same i dont get the core program i am big because i over eat so how do you stop your self before its too late haha i love the points program it easy to make up for big mistakes too exercise and salad are my best friends on a bad week lol this week was a bad week for me but i still went to my meeting and i had stayed the same thank goodness is all i can say i was happy for no gain. i am on Super start this week is anyone else doing super start?? well done for driving past.. Good call :)

Super Start??

What is super start?? Is that something new for this year?? It seems like every year they introduce something new...

And it's okay that you stayed the same.. Anytime I had bad week I would dread getting on that scale, but it's important that you do your weigh in and keep going...the support you get from everyone, and hearing that someone else was possibly in the same boat as you that week always made me feel better, not so much feeling like I failed that week...although I wanted to see the weight losses, staying the same every so often made me feel better than gaining those weeks or days that I had some little slips...you are right about the salads..they always helped to fill me up too..the free veggies--carrot sticks, celery sticks, etc. always helped too...

Superstart is something they have introduced this year it is a 3 week program that is sposed to kick start weight loss. I have loved it even my partner has dropped kgs lol. i dont like that pumpkin and corn have now got points however for all you in the big USA this is no different but for us who had'nt had this we didnt like it lol i used to roast pumpkin and eat as a snack and i always had corn cobs on hand haha have found new snacks now!

i started WW like 3 weeks ago , i have gone down from 180 to about 174lbs, i could have lost more , but i had a few days in week 3 that i didnt eat so well i used all my extra points and then some i am on the flex point system. I am starting week four tommorow so i am not kicking myself for my bad couple of days of eating, i am just starting fresh and trying to keep focused i find that if u stick to ur daily point u will see results, and i use my extra points only if i have to, like if i go to a party and want a piece of cake , i have a sweet tooth ???

its me again !! just have a question, i find that while i am at work from 8-5pm i do just find keeping within my 22 points , i eat fairly well, but as soon as i go home i feel so hungry that i tend to kinda of " binge" cause i am so hungry, i have even tried eating a snack before i go home and it doesnt work , that is why my weight loss is not happing as much as id like .... Help?? any suggestion i have night time eating habits that arent good!!! i seem to go over my point far to often and often using my xtra points too, this week is week 4 and i am trying my best to break loose of this habit and stay with in my points , ANy suggestion??? sorry for the long book LlOLOLOLO

I am the same way--I tend to want to snack at night--when I was on W W I used to bring carrot and celery sticks to work with me--something to munch on during the day--without spending a lot of points....I would try to use my "free" veggies for snacks...then at night, I would try to eat fruit or 94 % fat free popcorn became a good friend-the whole bag is only like 2 points--I think..been awhile since I was on it--if you know you are going to want to snack at night, save a few points so you can have something...but spend them wisely, on something that would be a healthy choice...the excess weekly points you are allowed--I hardly ever used them unless I knew something was coming during the week...I would "bank" them all week to use later...oh, and high protein/fiber cereal (kashi go lean crunch is a good one!!) with fat free milk is another good one for "night" it will give you that full feeling so you won't want something more...and water..lots and lots of water...will keep you feeling full as well as well as all the other benefits that come with drinking it...

I was on WW july - october last year, sticking to the plan, it works well, but you only get what you put in! those extra cookies i snuck in always showed on the scale at weigh in time.

sugar free caramel and chocolate pudding became my best friend when it came to snack time, i would pretend it was cake mix! haha, so bad i pretend pudding is cake mix, but it works.

good luck!

hey

I just rejoined Weight Watchers today. :) I'm really excited.

About a year and a half ago, I joined for the 8 week program and lost 20lbs...I even LOST weight over Christmas!! but being a poor student, once the 8 weeks were up I didn't go back and low and behold I've gained back 9lbs of it:(

So I've rejoined for the 26 week program! I'm pumped. On average I lost between 2.5-3.5lbs per week last time with some gains and stay the sames thrown in there so I'm thinking that if this works as well as it did last time and I average a 2 lb weight loss per week I'll get down to my actual goal weight in these 6 months!

It's expensive but considering how well it works if you stick with it, it's completely worth it!

Also, I can't remember who told me but I think it was one of the meeting leaders. Each weigh in I do, I make that day my 'treat day" whether I gained or lost. That means that one day each week after I weigh in, I can have some take out or chips or whatever you want for that day. Honestly, it never once interfered with my weight loss! I would (on average) have dairy queen, ice cream, popcorn at the movies and chips or whatever else I wanted and as long as I kept it to one day. I always kept my weight loss up for the next week too, so I'd highly recommend it for anyone who can limit themselves to one treat day a week, to do it! It gives me something really yummy to look forward to :D

With my membership to weight watchers combined with my gym membership and the information I've gotten on nutrition and exercise from this website, I'm hoping for some really great results this time around :)

Right nowI am just counting calories to see how that goes but I have been doing weight watchers for years and always seem to migrate back to it. What I like best about it is that there really aren't any forbidden food, just everything in moderation. Weight Watchers also teaches you how to eat right!

Money Money Money

I wish Weight Watchers wasn't so expensive! I have been wanting to start for some time now but really don’t have the money.:(

I've been on Weight Watchers

Been doing weight watchers since before Christmas, but I haven't been sticking to the plan as well as I should. I am doing points and I am thinking about switching to the core plan. I start off every week keeping track, and then don't keep it up!

hi! i'm a newbee here and just joined weight watchers 2 weeks ago... the first week wasnt good bout this week i'm workin out and REALLY watchin what i eat.. so we'll see how it goes.

I do an old weight watchers program from the early 90's. It's where you count servings. I've pretty well on it. I tried the points, but I just didn't lose anything.

I started WW on 2/27/07 and have lost 7.8lbs so far. My next weigh in is Tuesday evening so I am hoping that my home scale ticker in my siggy holds true and I will do well! So far, I am really liking it as I have been able to fit in to 2 pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear in forever and today I put on a charm bracelet that my girls gave me in December and it appears I am going to have to remove a link very soon!

weight watchers question

question about weight watchers?
what do you do when at night after dinner you still have points ( a great amount of them, like a third of them) but not hungry? do you eat those points, or do you not eat.

weight watchers points

I was on weight watchers for a year and am now back on. You can have points left over for the day but you shouldn't have that many left over. Believe me if you don't eat you won't lose weight. I know that sounds weird but it's true. Especially if you've started excercising you should try to eat most of the points your alloted. You should plan out your meals and snacks to try to use your points . I would always stager my points from day to day. Like one day have 25 and the next 27 so your not always eating the same points everyday. Try some healthy snacks during the day to use up those extra points. Hope it helps it's just my opinion!!

Weight Watchers (anyone been? )

I was just wonder if there was anyone else out here that has been to weight watchers. I was apart of it but I got so stressed with pleaseing everyone that now i'm looking out for myself and taking my time :) but I still go by the weight watcher points and I still swim everyday and do the sauna :) anyone else here been to weight watchers?

I belonged online for about 6 months. It was working for me, but I couldn't afford to keep it up. Now I track calories on an online free site, that is pretty much the same thing.

I found it was good for helping me get into the mindset of knowing the nutritional value of various foods, portion sizes, etc. But I was a bit more lenient with myself. I hated feeling like a failure when I went over my points for the day, even if it was allowed.

I am currently doing the weight watchers plan.

Couple of years i would go to meetings regular, but it was expensive, and a pain in the ass. It worked though, and i dropped over 30lbs. Over the next couple years i totally stopped the diet, and gained it back plus some.

In Jan of this year i started back up again, but since i have purchased the reading, tracking and "point value" material, i was able to do it without actually going to the meetings.

I have lost almost 50lbs since i started, and i am LOVING IT!! What i really like about it is that it teaches you how to eat healthy instead of having to purchase frozen meals or follow some outrageous plan. When you arent actively on the diet, you still carry the things you learned, and it really helps. I eat normal food, and lots of things i like.

WW makes a lot of different foods you can purchase at the grocery, including some seriously DIVINE ice cream.

If you can afford the meetings, they are a great way to set a "end of week" weigh in goal. And they share lots of great tips with you. Also they have a really nice website that offers a lot of recipies and suggestions on food purchases.

I am still working at my goal weight, and have a long way to go, but i highly recommend WW.

Hope this helps.
