Weight Loss Diary 2017 - Goal 1-0-5

Improvements:
- not bleeding (body seems to be getting used to pill)
- eyebrow hair loss seems less past few days
- H Pylori not completely cured but small improvements noticed in digestion

Not improving:
- fatigue
- hair loss
- trouble falling asleep

Week 4 of HP protocol (4 more weeks to go)
Week 2 of heavy metal detox (10 more weeks to go)

Fatigue is getting in the way of work. Not sure how to address. We are also getting into busy season, everything until March 6th will be chaotic.
 
I am struggling with work. Am so unhappy.

Putting life on hold for health - I am not sure what to do but I am dying inside.

The detox has its up and down days. There are days I deal with debilitating fatigue where I am in bed for most of the day. Then there are days like today where I am fine, fatigued but fine enough to come into work. Hopefully this is the reason for my fatigue and hair loss. Not sure why I am doing a heavy metal detox otherwise :/ But will have to try it to see if it works.

Sorry to hear that, work is important. Hope you figure out a happy path forward. No matter our problems I think we can always find something to be happy about, and being happy is important.

I think you are doing what you have to do for your health. But I do think its important not to put everything on hold. How is your diet? Not something to be put on hold. And are you doing things just for fun? It's important.

Don't know if you have said, but is that you in your picture? I have always imagined it is, I like the picture, very pretty girl.

My diet is slowly coming along, Rob. I have an emotional eating tendency and the days the fatigue hits me hard, I tend to run towards sugar/glucose. But the days I have energy I can control myself a bit more.

Lol nope that is actually Nicole Scherzinger - she still looks great at 41. No similarity except for maybe black hair and tanned skin. I'm shorter, 5ft and right now around 110lbs. She's been...not exactly an idol...but I respect her for her vibrancy and passion for life. She also has a great voice. Same with JLo - they're both so positive. I'm not bad looking - but more on the "cute" side than the "sexy" side, lol.

Hi Cate, it was the naturopath I am working with but I am stopping the detox for a week to see if anything changes. It is definitely adding stress to the body. I also am going to see if I can get referred to a thyroid specialist through the PCOS clinic as autoimmune disorders go hand-in-hand with PCOS. But good question! <3

I'm talking to insurance and my doctor next week about stress leave as I feel I need a bit of time to regroup mentally/physically. This was a difficult decision but I feel it will do my body good.
 
Today I filed my sick leave paperwork with insurance. Scared but also feels like it has been long overdue.
Let's hope my body decides to work with me during the time off.

Also, I have been binging and am slowly taking the pedal off of junk food.

I have gained 3.8lbs in a week - I feel the pill is also impacting this. I'm slowly getting back into exercise.

Please look after yourself, hon. No junk food or binging for you. Your body is a temple & you deserve better than that. :grouphug:
 
I am taking a bit of sick time off starting March 10th and get back on the detox March 6th (the Friday leading up to the break). So far people at work have been supportive of my leave - it's been a bit of a journey to acknowledge and go through with leave.

I am trying to get back into healthy routine.

My body is having trouble with the pill. I started bleeding again,after two weeks of the last bleed. I think I need to change the way I am taking my pills. Feeling exhausted but slowly making it through. This week we are brand planning for 2021 at work. It is quite the busy week but I am looking forward to some time off.

God makes things happen in crazy ways, that's for sure.
 
Does that mean it's the wrong pill, Misty? Too low a dose maybe?
I hope the break from work gives you a bit of a break. This detox worries me a bit. Is it putting too much stress on your body?

I've been working late as this is the busiest time of year, hence been a bit quiet.

I am on week 6 of my HP protocol - two more weeks to go.

I am off the heavy metal detox, I need to be on leave to pick it up. It is a 3 month program and it is tough on the body. I cannot figure out the hair loss - this heavy metal detox is the last resort really. There is nothing else I can think of exploring. Hopefully the downtime will help my body as well. I have my leave scheduled for March 10th. I have not heard back from insurance as yet - need to follow up.

Leave worries me a bit as I will be out of routine, I will need to create a new one - otherwise I might sink into a depressive state. I will need lots of rest with the detox though, so lets see how it goes.
 
Hey Misty, what is a heavy metal detox? What do they do to get the metals out or neutralized? Why do you need one? Have you somehow ingested a lot of metals?

As you know I am no medical expert, I'm just curious, never known anyone to have such a detox.

Hi Rob,

Heavy metals (copper, aluminum, lead, mercury) are all around us (pollution, copper/lead water pipes, make-up, deodorant, birth control etc.). I'm not exactly sure where my toxicity came from but I assume because I have a hormonal imbalance, my body has not kept up excreting substances like a normal person's body and hence I am on a special diet and supplement protocol. This could all be mumbo jumbo - I will have to let you know after three months if there is any improvement!
 
So it's weird right now. I am on leave but insurance has to let me know if they approved my pay or not. The city is going nuts - grocery stores have empty shelves, people are working from home, malls and retailers cutting down hours, people losing jobs, and there is a rumour of a lockdown.

It's been weird in isolation. The gym and pool have closed down in my building.

My detox is still giving me some fatigue but not like it was initially. I stopped and started. I am in week 2 now. No improvement in my two main symptoms yet: fatigue & hair loss, but I am only on day 11 of a 90 day protocol. Let's see what happens further in.

My hospital appt for my tumour got pushed due to Corona :/ I think they are seeing emerency/immediate need situations first.

It is an odd time.

I'm trying to keep positive.
