never really believed that focusing so much on the scales was a good thing, however after reading through these posts it seems obvious that there is a benefit to doing so for some people. I will try it, ignoring the scales completely isnt working for me!

Its late at night so I will weigh tomorrow morning. Im petrified. Im very good at fooling myself that I look ok and Im not fat. The figures will freak me out as I know I have gained a lot of weight lately.

2 years ago I was 75kg, my goal weight in the first instance is 67kg. I suspect at the moment I am up towards 90 so its going to be a struggle. Smoking pot doesnt help either. I had given that up for a while, but have just slipped back into my old habits.

I dont want to be unhealthy, Im at an age where your lifestyle catches up with you. Ive done very well so far but if Im not careful I will start to feel my age. Mehh I can still be a hotty at 40 something! and Im going to!:newangel:
 
Welcome to the crowd "tiredaussiemum". I have to weigh myself every day - you would never believe the amount of weight that I can put on in a week.

All you have to do is remember is that you retain water about the time of your period - so don't get concerned when you see things go up then.

hi everyone,

thanks for making me feel welcome!

I did my first weigh this morning, 83.7 kg which i will admit im surprised about, I thought I would be about 4-5 kg heavier.

this means that my inital goal weight is only 8.7kg away which sounds much better than 13kg!

I got on my treadmill this morning too, first time in a while. at the moment im doing 24 mins, at 5.5 mph....but on elevation 1 to 5 and back down again. Preset program, gets me sweating nicely, while not hurting!

2nd day here and Ive weighed in at 83.4 which is a loss of 300gm in one day! Gotta be happy with that :)

I shouldve done this ages ago, hopefully the accountability in here will keep me honest.

Going out for dinner tonite tho so I may not weigh tomorrow! but go to gym and then start daily from monday on.
