Weigh Yourself Everyday (or frequently) Club

I think weighing yourself every day is a great idea because it keeps you (not talking to anyone specifically) realistic about how much you are losing. The one thing that i have a problem with is dealing with the fluctuations, if i go up even 2 pounds one day I get down for the rest of the day. Does anyone else have this problem


No one ever goes down in a straight line. Fluctuations are a part of weighing yourself everyday. It helps me keep my goals at the front of my brain. What you are experiencing is to be expected..Just keep doing your stuff, over time it will go down more than it goes up,

Yay Margaret! Go 140's!!

Hi I'm Spartacus and I weigh every day because I learned in weight watchers that if I wait a whole week and I haven't lost half my body weight, I'm disappointed and I quit.

So recent weights:

3/31/08: 236
4/01/08: 235
4/02/08: 235
4/03/08: 234
4/04/08: 234
4/05/08: 232, but that'll probably go up because I'm a little dehydrated right now...

I've tried dieting a million times, just like everyone else. This time, however, I'm really trying to do a lifestyle change, so I'm only losing about 2 pounds a month on average. It's a little frustrating, but just enough for me to keep going...

I'm moving somewhere that I'll have bike access to my work and most errands, so I'm sure that'll help. I'm so excited! Woot! (The move isn't scheduled until June or July, though.)

i dont know how i feel about weighing myself everyday....i feel like id get discouraged too much. I hope you guys are all doing well1
 
stargurl84 - there is no denying that weighing every day does not suit everyone. Many experts suggest not weighing more often than once a week. I could not cope with not weighing myself every day. I remember a time when I put on a great deal of weight in a short time and many years of not managing to take it off and trying my best to ignore my weight. I finally have it getting towards where I would like it to be and worry what might have happened since I last weighed. I understand to expect fluctuations and not expect major weight loss too quickly. I am happier if I weigh daily and know what it is. You must do what suits you best.
