Brian, I wasn't off track. I'm pretty close to maintenance, so the upswing was expected scale gain from eating larger volumes of food, increased-carb-related water retention, and some hormone-related water retention. The scale goes up and down from day to day, and short-term changes aren't generally meaningful. As it happens, I'd prefer to keep the high end of normal fluctuation under 130, so I'm going to go down another pound at the low end (so until I see a 125.something on the scale), which should give me an average weight closer to 127 than the 128 I'm hovering around now.
