So glad that your husband is back home. How long will he be home for? As you go into Summer I'll be going into Winter. Hopefully it will get warmer & warmer for you soon :)
 
Thanks! :) Is your husband actually back at home with you, or just back in the country? (Did he have to fourteen-days-isolate?)
He is back home now . He did have an isolation period before he came home and now that he is home he can not leave the property for 2 weeks and also no one else from the house is allowed to leave either for the 14 days . Which isn't a big inconvenience for me because I was barely leaving before anyways lol.

Should be home for a while now before he has to go away again for an extended time. Anything less than a month I don't really count as him going away anymore lol we had a beautifully warm day today and kids are already asking when the pool will melt lol. Are you excited about winter coming to you or do you wish the warmer weather would stick around ?
 
I'm glad he will be home for a while. That is such an interesting question. Where I live in Tasmania the seasons are distinct but not extreme. I think I can say now that I enjoy all of the seasons, with a preference for Spring.
 
Well I am pretty surprised but I went on the scale this morning and I am down 2 more pounds ! Even with a couple days of eating stuff that I knew I shouldn't like a pizza Friday and then ribs on Saturday , I did eat a little too much each night but food thing I have my flock of adorable vultures because they are up everything else so I couldn't keep going back later at night . I am happy to see the scale going down ,I guess the little excercise routine my husband made for me is helping so I better go do my 10 minutes in the garage , hope everyone is having a good day today!
 
Excellent news! I'm curious to know what the 10 minute's exercise entails. Is it really hard or require equipment?

It feels hard for me at the moment lol most don't require equipment , my husband wants us to walk a lot of hills later for weight loss so I am starting to work my leg muscles a bit . I do Bulgarian split squats 10 a leg , then I do a squat and stay in it while I walk sideways ( I feel like a crab) I do use at the moment 5 lb weights and do some lifting with them for a bit and then my husband faces me while I hold his hands and do 1 leg squats 10 a side . he says muscle burns more calories and the upper leg is a large muscle so we work on that to make the biggest difference .
 
It wasn't a very productive day today . I slept in a bit and didn't get any yard work or housework done so not sure what I did all day that made the day slip away too quickly . I know the kids are adorable time bandits and sometimes seeing everything that they just need you to see that moment or after pushes on swings and making sure they are all fed a lot of time has zoomed by . We ended up with McDonald's for supper tonight I didn't have any and am happy about it but know that chicken sandwich would have tasted pretty good and am thinking about it now a bit . but was still not too hard to not have it and I know there will be some days soon I might not be able to ignore my cravings, because I am on my period now, so while I still can say no I figured I'd better do it . We can also Add to the list of not accomplishing some more stuff . I only got through half of the middle kids online schooling with them today ( it is hard to say stay in on a computer instead of letting them outside instead ) and I never made it into the garage today to do my excercise . I did take a few minutes to just do a bunch of squats in my room when I went to put my PJs on because there is a good chance I will have some days filled with cramps and headaches coming up where I can't even do that so I wanted to get at least something done tonight. It is supposed to rain this week so I will hopefully catch up on the kids homework and maybe some cleaning then .

We are hoping to tear down our deck and build a new one but it is so annoying that we have to fill out a bunch of papers and go get and pay for a permit from the town , I don't want the kids to miss any swilling season so I hope we can build it quite quickly so hopefully going through the permit office won't take too long but I am worried it will hold us up a bit . Going to try and go to sleep , hope everyone is feeling positive !

I am kind of hungry now that it is very late so I am really hoping my tired side can beat out my hungry side right now which is also why I started typing tonight to see if that could distract me ......so far not working well though .
 
Well still slacked on the school work a bit today with a couple of the kids ,but we did do some and some yard work actually got done today . We have a very large sandbox with the play structure in the middle of it, it is great and I love it but we definitely have to do a little work for it . So we emptied out the toy box today and threw away all the broken toys and then cleaned all the toys up and raked the whole sand box because unfortunately it is under pine trees so it gets full of needles every fall and I didn't get to it before the snow fell so there was a lot to clean up . Got some of the yard raked too so outside is starting to look cleaner and more spring ready .

Found the time to go do my exercise today and one of my daughter's came out to do it with me but she asked when we do mountain climbers ? I told her I haven't been doing those yet , turns out those are her favourite lol so we threw in just a few of those . My kids are definitely in way better shape than me!
 
So satisfying to see the improvement after a good cleanup. And you must be doing something right when your kids come ask to work out with you!
 
So no weight improvement lately . I feel I am back to battling the same few pounds one day they are there the next day down 2 but then they day after back on again . Still doing my small workout but I was hoping for some more improvement by now, maybe being able to do more or that it was getting easier , but no such luck yet , my husband says my form has improved and that is why it still is hard because I am doing each one better , still sucks though lol. I am really realizing just how out of shape and weak I have become over all these years of pregnancies and breastfeeding , I just have no muscle at all it's pretty annoying . I am still not done nursing my last one but we have cut way back and I would like to be done now so I am hoping over this summer I can get her to stop . Goodnight all .
 
Still no weight improvement which I am a little surprised about because I feel I am doing pretty well right now with eating and exercise , I definitely do need to do more cardio in any form but that is a little tricky right now with the cold weather and some kids + nap related issues lol. My legs hurt a bunch today after my workout yesterday so I made today a little more about arms and tomorrow I may just take the day off . Hope everyone is doing well !
 
As long as you´re sore from your exercise you´re retaining water in your muscles. That´ll pass but takes some time. Still: if you eat well it should show within a couple of weeks. Has your eating/drinking changed a lot now that your husband is home again?
 
Stick with it & I'm sure the weight will drop. How many calories a day do you think you are consuming on average? If you are not keeping track maybe do so for a day or 2 just to double-check.

I don't keep track of the calories just try to eat less especially of stuff that is obviously junk food related but I think eating is where I need to make the big improvements still.

It is probably better with him home but I do think eating is where I have to focus and make improvements still.
 
I don't count calories either, in the main - I think it makes for slower weight loss, for sure - that is, I think very focussed calorie-counting does make for quicker weight loss, but we all have to sort out what works best for us, and our particular lives. I can imagine that having a lively family all around needing to be fed would make it tricky to be calculating your own calories at every turn! :)
