Falling off the wagon, but coming straight back in here is a good sign that you really do want to change. Skating sounds like a fun activity with your kids & good exercise. I love the idea of you getting a bike. Getting it fitted with a comfy seat will make a lot of difference. Cycling is so good for you :) How long until your husband gets home?
About 3 and a half months left now !

I hope it flies for you xo

I
Hey, if I'm reading things right, that's ten pounds down in less than a month! Terrific! :hurray: (What percentage is that of your goal loss?)

The skating expedition sounds great too, except for the backache. And so do the tacos - well done! :)
I am aiming for almost 100 pounds so I guess about 10% of my overall goal . Thanks for the encouragement!

Hey everyone ! So things got kind of crazy for awhile with some family emergencies and then with helping friends for a bit and then with all that's happening everywhere right now just feeling some stress as I am sure a lot of people are these days . I have been gone for a bit and I did relapse into old habits too often but also back on track again too. Then fell off track .....but then got back on again ! Lol this happened quite a few time in the last while but even with the on again off again status with my eating , I have actually not gone back up again in weight ( well I did , and then down and then up and then down ) so I am still 10 lbs down from where I originally was . So I am happy that I am not higher at the moment but also frustrated with myself that I wasted almost 2 months not getting any lower either .

Weight loss is hard, I know reading this it's like" well ya , duh!" But it really is just so hard, and this keeps surprising me it seems lol. I always feel so positive and just ready to do this and then it is just sooooo slow . It seems impossible if it will take a week to lose a pound . I do understand though that if I don't stick with this then instead of going down that pound a week then I will be going up A pound or two a week instead .

In good news though , the weather is wonderful these days! Still lots of snow but it is melting away . I got the kids bikes out for them and they have just lived on those for the last few days . I push my smallest in her tricycle while my 4 year old bikes Beside us. This was nice and pretty suprising that my 2 year old was staying in the push tricycle because usually she won't sit in the stroller or wagon or anything . Then today she seemed to remember that she doesn't like to sit in things to go for a ride so she was back to walking . Which really means we take a few steps and then look at leaves or ice for a while then maybe a couple more steps then stare at some rocks and draw in the dirt with a stick for a bit. So my thoughts of being to able to actually get some decent walks in was short lived . I love this weather before it gets so hot, what I will miss about being cooped up inside more is that if I am inside all day I clean all day, I clean the same things multiple times a day so that at night time there isn't too much to do but with the nice weather we just stop going inside . Which with all the kids being outside you would think it would stay clean. That is not how it works though lol. Now I just realize how messy the kitchen build up is from all day or how much laundry I have forgotten to fold the last few days because we are just outside. But obviously worth the mess to have the warm temperatures back again .

I will try to write again tomorrow night but for now I need to crash . I am so tired and morning comes quickly . Goodnight all. Hope everyone is feeling healthy and positive these days even with the world being a madhouse lately .

Weightloss IS hard, so congratulations on keeping those 10 pounds off while away from here! I love the sound of

I know it´s not exercise but it´s fresh air and really noticing the world!

Welcome back, and as LaMa said keeping those pounds off is an accomplishment, good for you!
Hope everyone is feeling healthy and positive these days even with the world being a madhouse lately .
I think most of us are trying, it's a tough time. The arrival of spring is helping, those of us in the northern hemisphere anyway.

It's great to hear that you & the kids are able to get out & about with the warmer weather. Well done being down that 10 lbs. I must admit I liked the sound of your daughter stopping to really look at nature. I think the world would benefit from that. We are all being made to slow down.

What a lovely picture of life at a two-year-old pace - truly living in the moment. :) Great work keeping that initial drop down in weight at the level!

It is nice to go at her pace and I know these years go by quick when they still want to walk slow and show me rocks, so I have no problem with that .

Enough snow melted that I could break into the shed and pull the bikes out for the kids .they are thrilled and just want to bike all day every day now . I definitely miss my husband when I need to pull out bikes and pump up tires/ fix chains lol, but they are good enough to bike now and when he comes home he can tune them all up a little better .

Finally did groceries today after putting it off for way too long . Needed a lot and driving to the store I realized I hadn't eaten yet today , which is never a good idea when doing groceries . Usually I would eat a chocolate bar while walking around doing my shopping but, silver lining I suppose to the worry over germs and viruses , seems like a risk to do that anymore in the store … so that saved me there . I also avoided defeat today once I came home because by then I was really hungry but I noticed while putting away milk that we hadn't eaten the rest of the celery and I just bought more . Not wanting it to get any more limp I just ate 4 stalks of celery for lunch .

Supper was easy to do well to . My parents brought over a Shepard pie that was delicious . The kind of meal where even if you are full you will keep taking another spoonful and then another and just keep picking at it . Well the kids all felt it was delicious too and ate the rest of it up quickly and then my 2 year old jumped up on my lap and finished my 1st portion too lol. I will probably need to drink a protein shake or somthing before I go to bed .

I am hoping that if I can hold it together till Easter. Then maybe Easter won't be so hard to get through ,maybe some of the cravings will have diminished by then . But it will be hard with chocolate everywhere .

I do need to work on going to bed at a better time . For me and my kids ( especially my kids) . It is so easy to stay up too late these days with no school days . We end up chatting too long and we are making our way through the Harry Potter series and way too often they convince me to read a second chapter.

Hope everyone is feeling healthy and happy!

By the sounds of it, your kids will be really grateful to have spent this quality time with you. You sound like a great Mum!

Oh, great move! Celery is surprising full of vitamins and minerals - B Vitamins! Vitamin A! magnesium! - for something that seems just to be water and stringy bits! And of course very diety - and since you had a good half-serving of shepherd's pie (I hope you got at least a half-serving! :D ) eating very light at lunch will be fine. I ate two sticks of celery myself, today - so good to munch on!

I just assumed celery was all water lol glad to hear there is actually some vitamins in it !

Whew , tiring days . I am on my period ( sorry if tmi) and it always completely zaps me of energy , it never ceases to shock me how much it takes from me . One day I am a cleaning machine and playing with the kids and just feeling great and the next day it starts and I am exhausted and just trying to get through the day . The silver lining to being on it now, is that when easter happens in less than two weeks I won't be on it so I am hoping that those horrible sugar cravings won't be there and I will make it through the holiday a lot better ( that is the hope anyways )

It was a light rain all day which makes you feel a little chilled but helps with the snow melting outside . The smaller kids decided to build a dam outside near the road where a large long puddle has been growing during the spring melt . The older kids all wandered over to tell them they were doing a good job and look at their siblings work . It didn't take long then till all the kids were suddenly working on this dam of mud, stick and rocks lol I love that even though they are getting older they still like to get involved with that kind of stuff , I hope they always stay like that .

Today was bad for eating , being on my period and the rainy weather just seems to put me into a snacking funk . Tomorrow has to be better because I hate How I feel after eating too much and the wrong things all day . I know it makes me feel bloated and even more blah and energy zapped but I still end up giving in .

Building dams and messing with water and mud is the best and I´m going on 40 :D I don´t think period talk is tmi on a platform like this one as it has SUCH an influence on eating, mood, and exercise for many people.

Hello everyone , such long times between posting , I know , so busy these days with the kids and online schooling that I don't have much time to even type a message here it seems before I collapse into bed for the night . Some good news is my husband is home from his tour overseas ! Yay! His help will be much Appreciated. I am a little disappointed in not having lost much weight before he came home but what's done is done .

Easter wasn't great for eating but not incredibly horrible either . I do well for a few days and then back slide then do well for a few days and so on . I feel like I am constantly fighting the same 5-10 pounds but never getting much further .

Our weather unfortunately has not been great for spring and we have had cold winds and small amounts of snow most days. Which my 2 and 4 year olds are not impressed with . The older kids all understand but those two small ones keep trying to head outside in just a t-shirt and are not happy I keep sticking coats and mittens back on them .

I have started for the last couple days of starting a small amount of exercise, not much at all but wow when starting from years and years of not doing much even a few squats a day suck lol my husband has said after even just a week I will notice an improvement in my abilities . I am hoping that means my thighs won't hurt so much going up and down the stairs later lol.

Will try my best to write here more often because I do like doing it . Just hard to fine the time recently . I hope everyone is doing well in their goals and their health these days !

I think with so many kids and weird circumstances you did very well not gaining weight while your husband was away. Also: if you want to see progress faster doing squats only every other day might help. Muscles need rest as well as activity to grow. Maybe the other days you can do starter push-ups (hands up against the wall or on your kitchen table).

I hope everyone is doing well in their goals and their health these days !
Thanks! :) Is your husband actually back at home with you, or just back in the country? (Did he have to fourteen-days-isolate?)
