Okay, here goes:

SW (Nov '04): 218
Nov '04 - Jan '06: Lost 18 pounds

SW (as a member) Jan '06: 200
GW (for b-day - July 2/06): 170ish

That leaves 4 months for 30 pounds, or 7-8 pounds/month...this is SOOOOO manageable. :)

I weigh in on Monday after 2 weeks, so my "new" start date for this journey is Monday, Feb. 06/06.

Tornado Days :)

Welcome to the group! :) You seem to have the right attitude off the start, so congratulations! We will be glad to help cheer you along the way! :)

Hello and welcome! I think you have set very reasonable goals. You are already doing great losing 18 pounds. Congrats!! Are you planning on following a certain diet or are you just counting calories? What type of exercise are you planning?

From my 2nd post...:)

I'm not on a diet as such. I usually walk one or more dogs almost daily, but not during the winter...it's just to cold in the evenings. The other three seasons of the year, I love walking!! On weekends, I've been known to go for walks up to four times a day, depending on weather. I've tried the gym thing, but the closet gym to me is approx. 30 minutes away and not even en route to work...it's kinda out of the way for us. With regards to eating...it's pretty simple. I only eat half portions of what I use to eat (ie., instead of 2 hamburgers, only 1 and half the fries)(or...instead of one big bowl of fried rice, half bowl). I'll have toast and a piece of fruit for breakfast, fruit snack around mid-morning, sandwich and fruit or veggies for lunch, fruit or veggie snack mid-afternnon, and for supper it usually varies...could be BBQ, pasta, meat, soup, breakfast...whatever my mood really. I try not to snack after supper, but if I do it's usually popcorn or fruit and never at 8:30ish. Oh, and I drink lots of water and have my cup of coffee in the morning. Milk and juice intake are usually very minimal, but I do drink them.

2 down

Weighed in at work today after two weeks, and I'm down to 198.6.

Honestly, I thought I might have gained, as I was off last week and didn't do much activities, just lazed around the house mostly. The eating part I did okay with it, but I still had my doubts, but I did it, and will continue to do it until I reach my goal weight!

Yippeee for me!! :)

Good Week

Well, this was a fantastic week! I managed to stick to breakfast, lunch, supper and lots of water. Weigh in is Monday, the 13th, so I'll give you guys an update then. :D

Well, today I weighed in at 198.8 up 0.2 since last week. Ouch! I thought I was doing pretty good, but I guess I let something slide...maybe I had too much spaghetti last night. Anyways, I drank lots of water today and 3 meals...no snacks! Lets keep our fingers crossed for next Monday.

Well, being okay this week; however, for supper after my fried rice and chicken at my mom's I ended up having a couple of chocolate chip cookies (the Pillsbury kind). I feel SOOOOOOO guilty right now that I'm on to my 2nd glass of water since I got home. Weigh in is tomorrow morning....we'll see. :(

Dont worry about the cookies...unless they happen to turn rabbid, a couple of cookies never killed anybody :p plus, like they always say, if u dont allow urself a treat every now and then ur body totally holds a grudge and would make u eat a whole pack later on :D good luck with the weigh in :)

Thanks! I guess the couple of cookies didn't affect me at all...I just felt SOOOO guilty afterwards. Anyways, weighed in today...down another 2.2 to 196.6...Yippeee! :D

Thanks fattrapped666!

I felt great when I weighed in this morning. I'm actually doing great when it comes to junk food, as my b/f (who doesn't need to lose weightg... ) always has some kind of junk food around, and I manage to stay away from it. Those cookies last night were the first bit of junk since I started this journey. I should be proud of that...;)

u should be proud :) thats great! i cant even go a few days  lol...do u find it as frustrating as me when ur bf can eat 3 big mac meals at once and not gain a pound  stupid men with their stupid six packs...and then they expect us to believe them when they say "ur fine how u are hun, seriously i love the way u look"..i mean ok...so he does..but still.. im just gonna shutup now...lol good on u though!:)

My mouth drools watching him eat things that I dearly lovED to eat. :p

However, I want to make a change in my life and be healthier, look healthier, and eat better than ever before. He can tempt me all he wants, but I'm ready for this. And, if I do splurge once in a while, that's okay, too, even though I know I'll feel guilty like I did last night with the cookies. To me, it only means I'm motivated to lose the weight when I have feelings like that.

I noticed in my first diary posting that my GW was 170ish...I've already added an additional 5 pounds to go poof in the wind...bringing me down to 165. :D

lol nice to see the lov"ed" hehe:p unfortunatly my heart still pines...
but ur right :) it is a choice...and if u want something bad enough...u just do it right?:D no second guessing ourselves about it :) u go girl :p
wouldnt it be great if it did really go poof in the wind..lol like just breathe off weight ..or click of ur fingers...hm..oh well :) although saying that...as sore as it can be the day after...theres nothing better than the feeling of accomplishment u get from giving ur all into a workout

Well, I know it is mid-week; however, just HAD to post :D ! When dressing for work this morning, I put on a pair of dress pants that - when on the last time approximately a month ago were quite snug and the button was always digging in - fit perfectly; actually, quite possibly a bit looser than just perfect, but ya'll know what I mean. I felt fantastic!! Talk about motivation mid-week...Just had to share. :)

OHHHH, I am soooooo disappointed, but I don't think it has to do with what I ate, but since last Monday, I have gained 3 pounds!!!!!!! :( I think it has to do with the fact that I drank a LOT more water last week than I have been - like twice the amount - and I tend to drink a fair amount daily anyways, plus the fact that this week (later on) is the TOM, so hopefully, next week, I'll be down again. My eating habits all week have been wonderful and even a pair of dress pants that were snug a month ago fit much better, so I don't think I have anything to worry about. Oh, what a roller coaster ride!!!
