Skipping the buns and just having the caesar salad would help your carbs though - just a thought.
 
Will try it that way when I make it, but the more I think about it the bread is figured in cals, so I might has well eat the bread. Wouldn't that make sense?

Another fun day at school. They were looking at pictures inside of the Whitehouse courtsey of a virtual tour on the internet. They also colored pictures of major places in D.C. (i.e. Whitehouse, Capitol Building).

The teacher did say that Ash is going on to the first grade but it's gonna be a struggle for her. She didn't say what the struggle will be but she did say that Ash knows half of her letters. I'm thinking that it's because Ash knows the minimum amount (85% of what she learned) that she needs to know so she can go on. The teacher did see that Ash is improving since we work with her. The first grade teachers wants the kids to try first grade before the teachers makes the decision for the kids to go back to kindergarten or re-take first grade over. I agree with my mom that it would devasate Ash if she has to go back to first grade, so if it comes down to it, we will hold her back. I know first grade is less than a year away, so I shouldn't need to worry about it, but I just want the opinion of the her teacher. Ash teacher did recommend a teacher for first grade, so we'll see what happens. Until then, she'll just finish out kindergarten.
 
Sher - I know all about that struggle. We kept my oldest back, but it was an easier adjustment because he was changing schools, so he wouldn't have to see his friends move on withough him. It was definitely worth it!
 
Went to school last night for a family reading night. We had a good time. They had juice and popcorn for a snack, so of course I couldn't pass it up. Ash made a bookmark for craft.

Meal 1 - oatmeal, coffee, milk
Meal 2 - cottage cheese w/fruit
Meal 3 - banana, walnut
Meal 4 - goulash, milk
 
It's such a nice day today I have a feeling we'll be out skating tonight, so I decided to cook some. Last night I made Goulash Recipe | Recipezaar for supper and made hamburger helper (made with turkey) for Ash and Greene. This afternoon I made Tuna Casserole Recipe | Recipezaar and Fiesta Chili Mac Recipe | Recipezaar.

Made a grilled chicken salad (shredded lettuce) w/light ranch dressing. It was good but it needed something (either croutons or shredded cheese) but the way I made it was healthy.
 
Dang you're busy in the kitchen - which of those was your favorite?

Haven't tried the chili yet. About burned out on the goulash so I probably should eat that up first, but the chili does look good. Greene isn't a big tuna fan, so I doubt he'll eat the tuna casserole, so I made him the chili, but we'll all eat it.

Must've been the snacking or all the carbs that did it. Oh well..live and learn. There's always next week. Went out yesterday for about 30-45 minutes and hit tennis balls.

M&D came down today, so it was more cleaning on my apt and theirs. I brought lunch, so it wasn't fastfood. Unfortunately mom brought coffee sticks, so there goes my day, but only had 4, so we're good to go. I also had 3 bites of Ash's hamburger and a frozen coke. Tonight Greene and I are spose to be going to Applebee's but not set in stone. I still can redeem myself yet.
 
Ended up going to Applebees. Had the three meal combo...:D Spinach and artichoke dip for appetizer, meal was parm steak and shrimp, mashed potatos, veg and dessert was brownie w/tea to drink. We had to drive an hr home so I skipped the ice cream. I was sooo stuffed but it was good.

Had breakfast with my dad, uncle and cousin. Yes it was fastfood, but we're not going to have it again. They remodeled the restaurant and in our opinion it will drive the customers away. They are going to start going to DQ because they make breakfast when you order it, from a machine. Granted it's still fast food, but it's half hass healthier.

Ash and I went to the park today for a bit w/a girl from her class and her mom. Had a good time having an "adult conversions" for once. Then later on Greene, Ash, Kegan and I went skating. He tricked out my quad skates and put inline wheels on them. I need him to take a picture, it's a trip.

As you can tell, food wise was not as good, but it's do over Monday. I'm defintely putting it to good use...:D
 
I guess I did pretty good yesterday food wise. I made my goal at least. I finished my friend's computer and dropped it off to him. He payed me $50. I wasn't expecting that. Hopefully I can get over to the apt today to clean more after I go shopping for a few things.

Meal 3 - steak, potato, corn

Did little bit more cleaning today on the apt. I'll be so happy when it's over. Unfortunately the house has been neglected so need to get my butt in gear and do some housework. I'm so tired, it's not funny. I feel like I could take a nap but gotta go to the store when Ash gets home..:(
 
Wasn't really hungry yesterday after lunch, so I didn't eat much. Maybe I'll get my appetite back.

haha hey I know how you feel about the housework never seeming to get done. That is how I feel when I work nights and have to teach during the day, and still keep up with the two boys in the evenings. The last thing I want to do is CLEAN;)
