The Tattooed Lady

It's raining cats and dogs here, so I have to start this over because the power went out...:mad:

After Ash got off the bus, we went to pick up the rest of the stuff for the front porch. We got bail of straw, 2 pumpkins, and 1 big gourd for $12. The guy was nice to give Ash 3 small gourds for free. When I got home, I tried to put the lawn ornaments in the ground (which are now sitting on the couch on the front porch because of the rain). OMG, it would have been so much easier but Greene's son has the hammer. I ended up breaking one in half, but still using it. Now it's shorter but you can still get the point. I tried to afro-engineer but it didn't work...:( I actually like them sitting on the couch behind the bail of straw with the stuff sitting on top of it. I should have thought of that in the first place.

Supper is baked chicken strips, corn on the cob and cottage cheese. I wanted a healthy supper tonight before the cake.
 
The cake was good, but really really rich. It's vanilla with white buttercream icing. I wish I could have found the whip cream icing, but no such luck. It's soo rich, I don't know how much of it I can eat...:confused: :confused:
 
The day started off really good with good breakfast, 3 eggs, 2 pieces of toast w/ff cream cheese as my butter and sf jelly with a glass of milk.

Lunch was a bowl of chicken noodles. I honestly wasn't hungry but I needed to eat something before school. It was quick and easy, big downfall for me.

The kids had a snack at school while they were watching a movie on Johnny Appleseed. It was 1/4 - 1/3 cup full of fritos. I should have turned it down, but it was such little amount, I didn't think about it.

I don't know what supper will be, but I need to get some housework started. I need to work off what I ate..lol
 
aside from the (SMALL) amount of fritos you ate, ur food hasn't been bad today! GREAT JOB! :)
 
Thanks honey..but still need to work it off. Changed the sheets on Ash's bed and brought down the sheets to be washed, took clean sheets upstairs, put away the towels. Need to do a load of laundry and sweep the floors. I'll do that after I post this.

I need to start bringing my winter clothes down, but I should leave them upstairs so I can get some exercise going up and down the stairs...:D
 
Ah yes, steps which I hated at one point in my life, but beginning to like them. There are times I still get out of breath, but that's the part I have to deal with.

Done with the sweeping and now I need to start the laundry.
 
She I admire your still trying.. it looks like your gettin there. I've seen you eat alot better now than your original few posts way back when. Thats very good. Keep it up. Get movin on those stairs and you got it in the bag.

And thanks for the support on my quit smoking. :D
 
I thought that was, but I wasn't sure. How the hell are ya??...:D Believe me I know how hard it is to quit, did it once. Need to do it again, but I've been smoking Greene's little cigars/cigarettes, which I'm pretty sure is going to be worse to quit.
 
Did the laundry and swept the computer room and underneath the couch cushions.

Supper is hamburger helper for Ash and Greene. I so wanted some, but turned it down for boiled chicken, brown rice and hominy. I never turn down hamburger helper, so I'm proud of myself.
 
I'm getting there and on another good note, I turned down a piece of cake for peanut butter and cheese stick for a snack. I'm getting hungry again, but I'll be alright until morning.
 
Great job She, you are really making some good changes with how you are eating, I am sure you will see a difference.

lol yeah.. I started on stoges.. then went to cigarettes.. but its going good.. Today wasn't that great of a day. After 20 minutes on the bag I released some stress that originally woulda been helped with a cigarette. I am very proud of where I stand right now. Thanks again for the support. You can start to.. forget anything that you have to smoke. Its all the same. Now I know you can do it.. Its all about finding a gateway. Mines boxing.. and getting my life more involved in being healthy.. and working out.. before I couldn't have done that.. Good luck hunny.
 
Today was a good day. Had my usual toast for breakfast and a protein bar for lunch. Didn't want anything quick for lunch (i.e. hamburger helper or chili) and didn't have much time to cook.

Today was my day to work at the school again (and yesterday). The kids learned about mixing colors with cake icing and put them on graham crackers. I stayed away from the cake icing and only had 1/2 graham cracker....:D

It's our weekend for Greene's son, so we are having steak, potato, cottage cheese and possibly a salad.
 
Hey! Looks like we are both slowly getting on the right path. GREAT JOB turning down the cake! You are doing a GREAT JOB with ur diet!!! YAY!
