The Tattooed Lady

If I have any hair left, it will be a miracle. I copied this from my blog, so I wouldn't have to write it again. I can't believe she has to know all of this. She's only in kindergarten...:eek: :eek: :eek:

Next week Ash takes her first test before her report card comes home. This is what she has to know:

* Capital/lower case a-l
* the alphabet
* rhyming/opposite words
* shapes - triangle, circle, square, rectangle, cube
* identifying/writing 1-5
* colors - red, green, yellow, purple, black, blue, brown, orange
* words - i, an, a, the, see, is, here

I don't know if she is going outside to play this weekend or not. I have a feeling it's going to be a long weekend. Maybe she'll surprise us and pick it up quick.

Man, that is a lot of stuff for a kid...I can't even tell blue from green! :)

Lunch was well worth the week of eating healthy. I had pulled pork, coleslaw, pinto beans, 2 rolls, 3 glasses of tea and a piece of carrot cake for dessert. I had good intentions of getting 3 cookies for Ash to eat, but that didn't work. I mean it looked like I pigged out, but in all honestly I wasn't stuffed but I was full.

I got a sampler platter but the portions were the size of what you would get if you put it in a dixie cup...:( The beans actually came in a dixie cup.

I wasn't upset with the meal itself portion wise, but it wasn't what I was expecting. I would eat there again, but I will try a different sampler platter.

Where did you eat? Sounds like Ash has quite the test ahead of her. YOWZA! GREAT JOB resisiting fast food! WE CAN DO IT!

It was a local bbq joint here in town. The owner and the waitress are from Texas. I think Ash will do alright on the test..just pray...:D

Ah yes..it was YUM. Portions were small, but good.

I brought the winter clothes down and packed up the summer stuff. I can't believe today is the first day of fall. Pretty soon the snow (bad 4 letter word) will be here and falling....:mad:

Food wise I did good for a weekend, but I'll post that later because I haven't ate supper yet, but will have to eat soon because it's almost 7.

Supper was a salad and a protein bar, but I really shouldn't have at that because I wasn't really hungry. I had a snack about 4, so that's probably why I wasn't hungry.

Breakfast was cereal, bagel and juice and lunch was 3 chicken strips (boiled) with a potato. Thinking about making the rice but I didn't.

Yesterday Greene started cleaning the room that will be Ash's room. It needs more drywall, insulation and maybe one more jack. So much needs done to it, Greene's been putting it off, but the time has came. We'll just put a heater in her if it gets too cold. It's turned into a catch-all room. She can't wait. She's so happy to be getting her own room. Right now she's been sleeping with us, which is fine, but she's 5 and she need her own one.

Before I brought over her toddler bed, she was sleeping on a one of the bunk beds, but we ended moving into the bedroom we have now because it's soo cold up there in the winter. I brought over her toddler bed to sleep on because there was hardly any room with the three of us in one bedroom. Now she's gonna be back sleeping on the bunk bed bed and we're gonna tear down her toddler bed.

We went to get a mattress pad and she picked out her first set of sheets. She got bratz sheets. Of course she still wanted a toy, but I told her that she got her sheets and she was happy.

Greene got up earlier than he usually does and turned the alarm off so I didn't get up until 6:30. It felt good to sleep in, but I'm ready to go back to bed. I'm still tired. I'm eating breakfast, which is raisin bran and toast with fat free cream cheese.

We got her room done at 8:30 last night. There is still some major things that need to be done, but it's done enough to it so that she can sleep in there. No major problems. She didn't wake up scared or anything like that. What more could a mom ask for?

Tomorrow my week is up, so we'll see if I made my goals and what my weight is. I'm hoping I did good, but we'll see. I think I did good, especially with my eating. I will admit that yesterday I gave into my cravings twice. Once was a frozen coke from BK and last night I had a have a bologna sandwich and then Ash didn't want hers, so you know where that went, but in all honestly I didn't enjoy it like I used to. Guess that'll be a clue that my taste buds have changed.

Today has been BUSY. I did 3 loads of laundry (well greene did 1 and i did the rest) and hung them up (2 inside and 1 outside), swept the laundry room, swept upstairs and broke the belt on the vaccum, so had to take it to the neighbor's and get it fixed, swept and cleaned the bathroom, bagged up the cardboard in the kitchen. I have to sweep the downstairs and do the dishes.

I need to go to the store when Ash gets home and get the stuff for the weenie roast tomorrow night at the school. I have to take one bag of chips and napkins and the kids have to bring their own hotdogs, marshmellows and whatever else we want to take.

I'm on my 3rd quart of tea, so I'll be in the bathroom all night long.

Sounds like my day, except I am on load 4, guess 4 kids does that lol. Good luck tomorrow, hoping you see progress in the scale, but don't put all your stock in that, you have made great efforts to change habits and have done a good job!

Thanks woman..this is the most housework i've done in one day..lol. I just got up and went and went and went. Glad I'm done for the day, hopefully. Off to start supper.

wanna come do mine?? LOL Actually it's not bad. I've had to keep it clean for the appraiser. What's for dinner?

I fear I will be making a naughty dinner: mac n cheese, fries and broccoli.

If you have to have mac n cheese, maybe add some turkey hotdogs or turkey smoked sausage and only eat the suggested servings of both.

Next time you go to the store buy some.
