Yes graceful would be good. Don't want to do that every 5 minutes to make it look like you meant to do that on purpose. When I fell this morning, I got up and went back skating. As Greene would say, "I may look like a dork in my gear but I know I'm protected."
 
I didn't take any of my protection except my wrist guards, ooppss!! I usually don't fall, but you never know. I scraped up my right skate some,

Walter say's "DUMBASS!!!" and I told ya so


P.S. more than her pride hurts now. :D

ouch! hey its just like ridin a horse, you get right back up and do it some more:) I was told by my riding instructor a few years back that I manage to always fall gracefully LOL

Man, it must be in the air today! This morning it took all of my motivation to just get outside today, telling myself a half-assed run was better than no run at all. Then 5 mins. into my half asleep shuffle I tripped over the pavement I run on everyday. I totally ate it! While laying bleeding on the pavement all I could think was, "GET UP BEFORE SOMEONE SEES!!!" Because the only thing more embarrassing that tripping over your own feet is a whole bunch of strangers making a big deal out of it. So now we have war wounds... Congrats!
 
Went over in calories, but it's all good. Just have get back on track.

Precardio - protein powder (100), milk (120) = 220

Postcardio - 3 eggs (225), 1/3 c cheese (110) = 335

Lunch - chx salad (396), 1 tbsp mayo (70), .5 cottage cheese (90) = 556

Supper - 1 cup hamburger helper (320), 1 potato (150), 1 tbsp butter (60), .5 cottage cheese (90) = 620

Snack - hot chocolate (chocolate craving..went to gas station to get a cup while I was buying some alcohol) = 120

Snack - 18 pretzels (120), 5 tsp honey mustard (50), string cheese (110) = 280

Grand total = 2131
 
Day 5

Day after my fall and it hurts, but it's healing. It hurts to get up and down. Need to do one or the other.

My weight was 184. It's holding steady. We'll see how the rest of the day and the weekend goes.

If my knee is going to be like this all day..I have a feeling I won't get very much done.
 
yea - I imagine a sore knee will prevent your normal workouts. Ugh...so sorry to hear it still hurts. Hopefully tomorrow it will feel better and you can get back to life as usual:)
 
I wish it would heal soon. It has finally scabbed over and almost stopped seping (sp?). It hurts at times, but not like it used too. At least now I can get up and walk normal, well w/out a lim, but still do limp now and then.

Went yard saling this morning. Came back w/a trunk full of stuff:D. Need to get it out and do something w/it. Spend too much money..but it's worth it.

My aunt and uncle gave us their old t.v. and dishwasher. We had to completely rearrange the living room but we got the tv in and dishwasher went to my apt for now. The t.v. is rear-projection and is about fortysomething inches. Greene could tell you better than I.

Didn't post my food intake last night because I cooked supper and starting drinking, so I'll post my food here in a minute. As for my food today..I forgot to write it down so I believe maybe this weekend (or at least today..no calorie counting).

Breakfast - 4 strawberries (20), banana (100), milk (120), 6z yogurt (80) = 320

Lunch - chx salad (396), 1 tbsp mayo (70), 18 pretzels (120) = 586

Supper - 3z steak (180), 1 tbsp steak sauce (15), .5 veg/cheez (50), 1 tbsp butter (60), 1 corn cob (100), 1 potato (150) = 555

Snack - 18 pretzels (120), string cheese (110) = 230

Grand total = 1691

I didn't eat that much but what I did was healthy. I wasn't really hungry. Think the smoothie did it for me, but it was so good. Will have to make it again.

forget about work or exercise for a day,and relax ..recovery is more important than anything

I mowed the grass, so that was the extent of the cardio. It didn't hurt like I thought it would, so maybe it's better than I thought, but yet on the other hand, don't want to go too far too quick.

so sorry to here your knee is bothering you!!! knees are the worst places to hurt yourself, they seem to hurt the longest!! hang in there girl!

Food intake..even not counting the calories, I've believe I did ok. I know some from previous diary enteries.

Breakfast - 4 slices bacon, 3 eggs, 1 biscuit

Lunch - *chicken salad, tortilla, extra mayo, 18 pretzels
*Greene son is here, so it is finally gone. Onto to tuna salad

Supper - hamburger helper, potato, veg/cheese

I'm not sure if I'm going to get a snack in tonight or not. It's almost bed time. We're still tired from last night.

I averaged my weight for the week and it was 184.4. Now I know what I need to work on.

Everybody does different tapes, but what are some good ones for beginners? Nothing specific in mind, so all types would be helpful.

Yesterday I did ok on the knee. Greene, Kegan, and Ash played a game outside on their skates. Notice I didn't partake on the festivities..lol.

Greene and Kegan mowed at his mom and dad's while I stayed behind. About 4p, we went down and took a swim for an hr. That really did a number on my knee. It was back seping again. Didn't think it would ever stop.

Food wise:

Breakfast - 2 biscuits, half cup gravy (Greene made it)

Lunch - tuna salad (which I made), 18 pretzels

Snack - smoothie (yogurt, milk, banana, strawberry)

Supper - dirty rice mix, smoked sausage (turkey), potato, veg

I think I did ok on the food yesterday. Did have seconds on the rice, so maybe not so good.

All in all, maybe it was a good day/weekend. We'll see how the rest of the week goes.
 
It's Monday...blah! Beginning of the work week, but hopefully it'll go by fast. Greene is back in Indy, but it's for the whole week this time. He left at 6:30 this morning and won't be back til Friday night. I'm planning to go see him Thursday night and won't be back until Friday sometime. He wants me to go skating on the trail he walks. He's hoping my knee will be completely scabbed over by then. He wants to wrap some gauze on my knee then put my gear on. Hopefully it'll work.

Weight wise wasn't so good, but we know how much it yo yo's so I'm taking it with a grain of salt. It was *186*. I'm gonna try to get some cardio in this week, even if it's walking or biking. Don't want to over do it.

Going to try to get the majority of the house cleaned before I leave on Thursday. We'll see how much I get done.

Back to the weights this morning. I only did everything twice instead of three times. Maybe Wednesday it'll be better.
