Weight-Loss The May Weight Loss Challenge

Weight-Loss
Twas an odd day. Started out 45 degrees and ended up 70. All ranges of attire from sweatshirt and jeans to shorts and shirtless.
Moy brave- I always do this aroud my house- even at 265..
Its my house & my yard- don't care what people think.

I know that one. I put up a sign that says "Enter at your own risk" when Im shirtless.

We are supposed to hit the high 90s by thursday. Good grief.

And you talk about me???

You look good shirtless, nothing to be scared of at all. :)

And yet you are concerned with what a group of total strangers think?

Good for you :) I hope it isn't too painful.
Strangers judge you quicker than friends...

Couldn't sleep all night due to the burn and worrying about something...
Mostly the burn though- it is better today.

I've learned (the hard way) that the best way to sleep with a sunburn is to lay on and cover up with a velour blanket. Everything else makes the burn feel raw. Surprisingly, the material in a velour blanket does not. Probably why I have two of them on my bed. :D

Strange, I was going to suggest him sleeping on leather or at least Pleather if he could afford the real thing. I hear that you would have a very memorable sleep.

I think you all would be proud...

All 3 of my roommates went out for ice cream tonight. I stayed home, ate an apple, and did an extra 20 minute workout instead.

I'm a good girl. :Angel_anim:

Very good. Just say no.

I went for ice cream a couple weeks back, and I didn't have any, but the kids did. My daughter had this giant hot fudge three scoop thing which she couldn't finish. I was so tempted to just finish it off. Can't waste money, can I? I didn't, but the urge was strong. Didn't have it till I had to throw it away. Now when I give them a treat I go do something else.

I know that it's not the official weigh in day, but I'm very excited this morning. I weighed in at 219.4. That's over half my goal weight lost. My ticker is finally saying more lost then there is to loose.

Hope everyone is having a great day, too.

Isn't that the best feeling in the world??? I was so happy when I got to that point :)

Yup, I feel like I'm past the "beginner" stage. I know that this second half will be harder, but I'm excited to be doing it.

I missed this..
Great job getting past halfway.
I fond that it simultaniously got harder and I lost a lot of motivation once I got past halfway..
Just be careful not to fall into those traps.
I really need to reup my game a bit an post a frickin loss at some point- even though the number on the scale does not matter....

BTW- anyone interested in a 'measurement challange"?
I started a thread later last week and hardly anyone noticed it or was interested. If no interest that is fine but I thought it would help people concntrate on something other than a 'meaningless" number.

I saw that measurement challenge and decided not to. Maybe some other time. I thought that one way of looking at the different body measurements would be to look at a percent loss. That way a one inch loss in a thigh would be more significant then a one inch loss in belly. Just a thought. The math might be a bit confusing for some people.

I'm kind of afraid to measure me . . .

I hear what you are saying.
No problem with that logic- just thought it would be a nice idea.
