July 24th, 2007:Thoughts for the day

WE MUST: COMMIT TO BE FIT!
Dwell not upon thy weariness, thy strength shall be according to the measure of thy desire.
Arab Proverb
========================================================
Good Morning Everybody! I sincerely want this day to go great for you!

Better to hunt in fields, for health unbought,
Than fee the doctor for a nauseous draught,
The wise, for cure, on exercise depend;
God never made his work for man to mend.
John Dryden

Chillen’s Statement of the day:

Living life is sometimes tough to do, but you've got to work at living, you know? To live takes guts; it takes energy, vitality, it takes thought and intellectual ability. We have so many negative influences out there that are pulling us down. . . . You've got to be strong to overcome these adversities and, never, never ever stop!.

I know of no safe repository for the ultimate powers of society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to increase their discretion by education. (replace society with “the forum”)
Thomas Jefferson
========================================================
We always push-positive, and want a distinct mental disposition in our body’s composite dispositive: (Chillen)

"Exercise alone provides psychological and physical benefits. However, if you also adopt a strategy that engages your mind while you exercise, you can get a whole host of psychological benefits fairly quickly."
James Rippe, M.D.

A man too busy to take care of his psychological and physical health is like a mechanic too busy to take care of his tools."
Spanish Proverb (Chillen, revised)
=========================================================
In my heart, all I want to do is assist someone toward their goals. I don’t care what this goal is within training and dieting. I am with you all the way; this will always stay, and never decay.

We should always have the inward and outward cognitive willingness to help everyone on this forum in their personal pursuits in overall fitness. No one should be allowed to hurt this goal. ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
========================================================

The body is without a doubt, an accumulation of its past history. The body you have at this very moment is, part, of this accumulative result:

"One cardinal rule in behavioral medicine is that unless it is interfered with, your body knows exactly what it is doing and always does the best thing it can do under the circumstances. Consequently, if you are overweight, you may reasonably assume that the extra fat itself is your body's best adjustment to the circumstances you are providing."
Jill Johnson

YOU have the POWER to change this accumulative result in the future:

"No matter who you are, no matter what you do, you absolutely, positively do have the power to change."
Bill Phillip

And yes, exercising and dieting does deprive you:

"Living a healthy lifestyle will only deprive you of poor health, lethargy, and fat."
Jill Johnson

You can assist yourself in many ways by having a program set in training and dieting:

Physical activity is an excellent stress-buster and provides other health benefits as well. It also can improve your mood and self image, and can stimulate dynamic and creative intellectual activity.
Jon Wickham from (chillen revised)

Do you have ten minutes to reach out for the greater good?

One of the best lessons that anyone can learn in life is how to use time wisely. Consider what can be done in ten minutes. If you need a little mental relaxation, you can sit down with a friend and play a game of cards. If you need some physical recreation, you can engage in a few exercises that will help tone up your body. Perhaps you have a friend who for weeks or months has been looking for a letter. Then there may be among your acquaintances someone whose friendship you would value highly and whose counsel would be profitable. Learn to use ten minutes intelligently. It will pay you huge dividends.

Exercise is NOT a dirty word: (LOL)

Exercise is a dirty word. . . . Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate.

I think I like buns of steel better (LOL)

I really don't think I need buns of steel. I'd be happy with buns of cinnamon.
Ellen DeGeneres

You have “Unflinching WILL” I know YOU DO! Seek it—it WILL find you! (chillen)

There never has been devised, and there never will be devised, any law which will enable a man to succeed save by the exercise of those qualities which have always been the prerequisites of success - the qualities of hard work, of keen intelligence, of unflinching will.
Theodore Roosevelt
=========================================================
The only exercise some people get is jumping to conclusions, running down their friends, side-stepping responsibility, and pushing their luck!
Author Unknown
(Some persons from an inept and dead inner being attempt to damage the very persons that could be their friends and companions, and are so delusional from this empty ineptness, they don’t know it)—Chillen
=======================================================

What is in store for you today? Set your mental fortitude (staying power) and you will set your own POWER PATH! Look inside yourself, what is there? Fill this up with passion, desire, and undying will, and you will NEVER let yourself down,,,,,,,,,NEVER!

I wish you all the best.........I really do. More is coming today.

I feel the need to provide and confide and I will not subside.

ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HANG IN THERE! WE are with you in your fight

Best Always,

Chillen ROCK ON!

oh man that was funny. especially becuase i had to read it 3 times to get it! LOL

Dwell not upon thy weariness, thy strength shall be according to the measure of thy desire.
Arab Proverb

this one really really hit home. theres a BIG difference in focusuing on the pain when front squatting then if you are focusing on the passion to succeed. pain is the force screaming at you to stop while your body is driven onward by your desire to achieve.

i was watchin Tv yesterday and it was about martial artists who could be hit with lethal punches or kicks anywhere on their body without feeling pain because they have total control of their mind.
it just tells us that we have to(and have the ability to) block out any pain and just keep going strong.

oh, and i got the recipe for the chillen's! ty FF. im going to make them tonight hopefully. il take pix!

and chillen, im still waiting for that reply in the "out of context" thread!!! lol!

July 24th, 2007: Poem of the day (2)

The Person I Long To Be
By Victoria A. Mogyorosi

The day light breaks again
Another day has begun.

But still no sleep has come.
My body is weary

My mind overworked.
I lie awake thinking

But what I am unsure.
I need to break free from the cycle I endure.

Everyday is the same and the nights are undistinguished.
I feel as though I am being pushed along with the tide

Unable to break free from the everyday flow.
This is not me I need to change, before time takes over

And I am unable to change.
I need to be freed from the grasp of ordinary

And become that person I have always longed for.
Express myself in every way, and conquer the dreams as I lie awake.

Then I may fall asleep and put my mind to rest.
Make changes in my life and help those in need.

I would like to touch everyone's life in a positive way
And leave my mark on society before I fade away.

Like an auction block, you must unlock, your mental block, and twart off any cognitive vapor lock, and you will never become a cookoo-clock. (chillen) :) :confused:

July 24th, 2007 (thoughts for the day) (3)

I advocate being able to be consciously aware of your inner-self, and making an inference to the separation of feelings and coupled thoughts, in order to bring a separation of the negative and positive in order to bring assisance in handling the same.---Chillen (thus the statement below)

Desire

Desire is one of the great paradoxes of being human. We find desire both at the heart of our greatest joy and of our greatest suffering. Sometimes we are empowered and uplifted by our desires, and at other times we feel enslaved to them.
(The Ego, Attachment, Victimhood and Empowerment.)

Desire can be a friend in diet and exercise, there is no doubt, but it sometimes can enslave your other personal desires---be careful with it, manage it, process it correctly, or it will process you potentialy the wrong way---Chillen
=========================================================

One possible solution to the desire internal equation separation--at least in one segment unit of the separation is:

"The secret of concentration is the secret of self-discovery. You reach inside yourself to discover your personal resources and what it takes to match them to the challege."
=========================================================

"Hope is a vigorous principle; it sets the head and heart to work, and animates a man to do his utmost. It makes a seemingly impossibility give way."
Jeremy Collier
1650-1726, British Clergyman and Theatre Critic
=========================================================
"We should be taught not to wait for inspiration to start a thing. Action always generates inspiration. Inspiration seldom generates action."
Frank Tibolt
=========================================================
"We create our own destiny with our choices and decisions. We can base these decisions upon the awareness of our inner truth or we can base them on reactions to outer circumstances. This power always belongs to us. No one can take it from us."
Gail Pursell Elliott
(create your destiny, be want you want to be, and the power is YOU!)=========================================================
And, I end with:

"Everyone's got it in him, if he'll only make up his mind and stick at it. None of us is born with a stop-valve on his powers or with a set limit to his capacities. There's no limit possible to the expansion of each of us."
Charles M. Schwab
1862-1939, American Industrialist
(there is no limitation in what you can manage to do!)
=========================================================

When it concerns you:

Manage brings advantage, while mismanage brings disadvantage. (chillen)

ROCK ON!

I hope you all had a great day;
I pray all of your power was on display, and
there was no decay in the head buffet to cause personal dismay.
Everyday grind away at any decay in the head buffet, put the power on display and you will have a great day!

Okay, PB you asked a few days ago for them: I got my new phone in yesterday, and I took 2 new pics of my tris.

They have improved.

This time, however, there is no mirror, and its just a back shot with my camera, at close range.(I just put the camera close and took a shot)

Never mind my messy head, I worked out about an hour earlier, and I always become a friz head---just except where I an balding. After all I will be 46. Im an old fricken man. :) Now, bare in mind, I weigh only 153lbs (5' 7" short man), I had my body fat measure professionally 2 weeks ago (7%), and my arms are only 15".

The first pic is the back of my left arm fully extended(left pic). The right pic is the right arm, just stretched out (partially) toward the front to give a differnt look from the side (back side of right is the same as the left, of course). I have managed to improve the look (and strength) of the tri, WITHOUT GAINING WEIGHT. There has been some minor differences in training, and a slight modification in the diet. And, I press on.......................Rock the hell on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DIET IS THE MASTER! I inserted the June 11th, pic, the torso is the same now, but if you look at the left arm, its relaxed and fairly obsured in the pic, but, I can assure you it looks better now. So, I am going to take another one. IM EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WITH MY OLD ASS! Since Im not so focused on the abs now (MAINTAINING THEM), I have learned that the tris tend to respond better to a higher rep range, than the lower.
