Weight-Loss The Brat Pack June Weight Loss Challenge

Weight-Loss
So now you kick July's ass so June sees that it can't get away with it.

(or have I watched too many Sopranos episodes?)

Or better yet, kill July and leave it's body as a warning to others.

I have too many good things happening in July for me to mess this up. I need a win here.

Watch out for ali.hanging-july's-carcass-as-a-warning

9 lbs lost for June.

Not great but I will take it- with losing 1% standard i should always be in the 10lb range.
I had a bad weekend so I need to beat my own ass to get a loss this week.
*sigh*
Why oh freaking why do I do this to myself......

Brian, like I said in your diary. Prior to this your weigh ins were 225-225-225-225-225... You didn't think anything would break that plateau. Now you lost 9 pounds in a month and think it's a failure. That 1% thing doesn't really play out when you are getting down in BF%, like you are.

Kick ass, brother.

Ya know, it seems that whether we have a half pound loss or a ten pound loss, we still tell ourselves we could have done better. AND, we are quick to tell one another "hey, you did great!" (and mean it), even if the other person had a smaller loss . . . then we continue to self-depreciate.

Perhaps we all should all just pat ourselves on the back, tell ourselves congrats, you did a great job!, and march into July with our heads high and our confidence peaked.

All in agreement say Aye . . .

:D

Total Loss for June: 3.2 pounds

I'll take it. A loss is a loss. Better than the gains I kept seeing. Bring on July!

Did we decide what challenge we will be taking part in??

Do what Ali says. She's not taking any shit from anyone now. :willy_nilly:

That's the attorney coming out in her . . . I mean, HI Ali, dear!! ;)

Aye.

Brian, your loss for June is great, whether you want to accept that or not. AND you are that much closer to your goal. It is in sight and you are on your way down the hill toward the finish line. That's a wonderful accomplishment.

Now I am going to play Trops here and direct you to your tag line . . . Do or do not, there is no try.

And not doing is not an option. We won't let you. :D

Wow, Trops! You did great! Who's better then you. I want to be just like you when I grow up. Thanks for being such an inspiration. :hurray:

(is that what you want, Angela? :biggrinjester: )

Jessie, darling. You are still with it after threatening to throw in the towel almost weekly. 3.2 pounds is wonderful. Keeping it going is even better. July better watch out. :cheers2:

Great loss for June, Jess! :D I like your enthusiasm. See, people? Jesse is marching into July . . . :p

How's the job thing going?

No throwing in the towel here... I've decided that if it takes the next ten years, I am going to lose this weight. God willing it won't ever take that long though!!

I tried hard this week and pulled out a small loss. I feel good. My biggest struggle is definitely being back home with my family and having my mom cooking and all the tempting junk around the house. I'm doing good though and my mom is becoming much more concious of the groceries she is buying.

I'm not gonna give up. Sorry, you guys are stuck with me for the long haul! :waving:

Job hunt is still on. I'm now in the process of trying to get a Kentucky teaching certificate which is turning out to be a pain in my butt. But I'm still working on it. Just applied to a few new schools in Kentucky. So its going... just not as quickly or as well as I would like.

Something will turn up when you least expect it. And everything is a pain in the butt in Kentucky. Lol, except ME of course!

6.2.08: 201.7
6.9.08: 199.3
6.16.08: 199.3
6.23.08: 196.6
6.30.08: 195.8

Total loss: 5.9 lbs!

Pretty good! Like every one else, I wanted more, but hell, I'll take it! I'm a little surprised I missed the 1% mark (would have been down to 193.8 - an additional 2 pounds lost) but that just gives me more reason to try harder next month!
