Putting this here for quick reference... :)

Because I'm still waiting to get a couple of teams formed, I'm only starting team threads for those with official team names. Once you've got your team together and have a team name, post it here and I'll start your team thread. :) I'm going to post the first week's info so you can get ready. Here it is!!!!!!

Week 1—Chicago to Moscow 12hrs 50min. This averages out to 4hrs 17min of exercise per person. Remember your team doesn't have to split it up that way. See the rules if you need to jog your memory regarding this.

Here are the real Detour choices which each team member must choose 1 option: 1. Do a Russian Cossack dance for 1 min w/out falling over (see youtube video link)

or 2. Eat 5 cups of boiled cabbage (Russians apparently eat a lot of boiled cabbage) during the week. 1 cup of raw green cabbage only has 22 calories, and is an excellent source of vitamin C. Feel free to make cabbage soup, or add other diet-friendly things to your cabbage.

If you choose the Cossack dance, you must do it just like the kid in the video, and you must do it continuously for 1 minute in order for it to count. Good luck with that! I’ll be eating boiled cabbage, thank you very much. I have very muscular legs, and can't do it to save my life..haha.

Each team will get 10pts if each member does one of the two choices.

Ok, so we report our weekly totals. I guess the best way to keep track of that (for me) is to create a post where I can edit and add each day of the week's exercise. I'll have a different one for each week, if that makes sense! :)

WEEK ONE

Friday - 1 hour on the elliptical & Russian Cossack dance complete! Total: 1 hour
Saturday - 40 minutes C25K (5 minute warm up, 28 minute run, 7 minute cool down), walked the dog for 20 minutes. Total: 1 hour
Sunday - 1 hour on the elliptical. Total: 1 hour
Monday - Stayed with a friend. Walked her dog for 30 minutes. Total: 30 minutes
Tuesday - 1 hour on the elliptical. Total: 1 hour
Wednesday - 40 minutes C25K (same routine as Saturday), 20 minutes on the elliptical. Total: 1 hour
Thursday - 1 hour on the elliptical. Total: 1 hour

Total Exercise for Week 1: 5 hours, 30 minutes!

I'm off to do the dance! :)

I did the dance today! Which means I should be able to do it again on Friday, when it will actually count. My legs don't move nearly as fast as that guy's, but I can do it without falling over for just over 1 minute! Woohoo!

I'll be eating the cabbage. Low cal, high vitamins. Detour points. Win-win.

I'll be relying on my two favorite cabbage recipes. Japanese chicken and cabbage and colcannon. I bought my head of cabbage tonight!

Do you all want to split exercise equally (4 hrs 17 min apiece this week) or will one of you need someone to cover some of your time? (I can put in 6 hours if needed to, and may even if I'm not needed to, just because my schedule allows it this week.)

Damn girl! I'm impressed!

I think we should at least do 4hrs 17 min.

I'm aiming for 6 hours because I want to see a difference on the scale!:)

Sweet! You and I will have sore quads on saturday and Amber already bought cabbage.
That detour will be done in no time!

My knees were popping during that dance! Lol!

I will be exercising more than my 4 hours as well. I am still looking for movement on the scale, so I will be getting at least 5 hours, but probably more!

Sounds like we'll be getting all our travel points, plus our bonus points this week!

WOOHOO!

We're off to a great start! Moscow here we come!

whoohoo! It has begun!
I played hockey during 55 minutes this morning. Right after I came to work, closed the door, and did that stupid russian dance.....ouch...Never thought a minute could be so long :p I still feel the pain!

I always thought that Bikinibound was one of the nicest person around here....
I'll have to reconsider if next detour is as hard as this one...
I'm kidding! It's still better than eating cabbage! :biggrinjester:

Woohoo!

And I totally agree! I would have done just about anything to avoid eating cabbage!! :D

Between Jerome and I, we already have 1 hour & 55 minutes of exercise, and 2 Russian dances complete! I'm sure Amber is enjoying her cabbage and exercise as well! Woohoo Weight Loss Warriors!!!

2.5 c. of cabbage down, and 75 minutes of exercise.

I ate the cabbage in both colcannon and asian chicken wraps. The wraps are supposed to be wrapped in raw lettuce, but I subbed whole boiled cabbage leaves instead, plus in the chicken/veggie mixture, there was 1 c. cabbage. There was a cup in the colcannon, also.

I knew you were eating that cabbage and working out! Yesss!

Go Warriors!
