The 21 Day Club

Alot of us are struggling to change our whole lifestyle. Diet, excersize, drinking water, maybe quitting smoking...it can be overwhelming!

This is a club that focuses on changing one part of your life for 21 days. Be it excersizing or spending more time w/ your kids...pick a goal and for the next 21 days, really concentrate on achieving that goal...then after the 21 days are over, pick a new goal!

I think this could really help alot of us who are feeling the stress of a lifestyle overhaul! Post about it here...you'll meet some new friends and get the support you need!
 
I vow for the next 21 days to really concentrate on excersize!! I want to get in a full 30 min's of excersize, 6 dys a week.

I feel sooo empowered, so strong after a good workout...but it is SOO hard to get to a place where excersizing is habit! I'm hoping by the end of the 21 days, my daily workout will be something I look forward to!
 
mm this sounds like fun.
Im gonna opt for exercise. I need to make a point of exercising every day.
Ive slacked off as late, its not good :/
Also i must eat at least 2 cups of fruit and vegetables.
Day 1 April 12: umm - im a day ahead of you guys, i started on the 13th :)
Day 2 April 13: Went to the gym, did running (300cal) - ate 4-5cups vegetables (yay!)
Day 3 April 14: No Exercise :( 2 cups veges, 3 of fruit)
Day 4 April 15: 50km(2.5 hours) cycling; 2.5 cups veg, 1.5cup fruit
Day 5 April 16: 4 cups of fruit today - 3 of vegetables - No exercise :(
Day 6 April 17: 2 cups fruit, 4 cups vegetables - no exercise (had guests for dinner, very very busy day)
Day 7 April 18: 2cups veges - 1 hour visit with the PT!
Day 8 April 19: 1 cup veges - 2 cups carrots
Day 9 April 20: No veg - 1 banana, 20 mins cycling, 20 mins running
Day 10 April 21: 1 Cup veg - 1 cup fruit - 1.5 hours aerobics
Day 11 April 22: 50km 2hr cycle - vege nachos + apple
Day 12 April 23: Cycling 30mins - i forget what veg, but yeah ive had em.
Day 13 April 24: Body combat - 1 hour + 1cup veges
Day 14 April 25: Running 7km - 2cups veges
Day 15 April 26: Cycling 40 mins - banana and some veg
Day 16 April 27: No exercise, salad for lunch (had KFC for dinner - shit week i tell ya!)
Day 17 April 28: Ran 3-4km, ate 1 cup veges
Day 18 April 29: ate 2 cups veg, 2 cups fruit, 45minute run
Day 19 April 30: no exercise, salad and fruit though
Day 20 May 1: body combat + veg
Day 21 May 2: Vegs + weights
Day 21 May 3: Vegs

losing weight!! dieting to lose that initial load thats relatively do-able to shift and doing some core stability excerisises to tone up as I go.. remember guys 21 days to form a habit! FACT! XX
 
I think my goal would have to be limiting or eliminating my excess snacking. Once I get into the habit of exercising, that's easy enough for me to keep going. But food is a constant temptation for me. I know I don't need all the chips and greasy meat snacks that I tend to eat.

HEY! funny you made this thread. I heard on some show about 21 days to break a habit or start a habit and I am on day number 22 Thank ya! And omg does it work! its been tough but I have exercised 16 days out of the 22 my goal was 5 days a week for 45-60min. And I really look forward to it everyday!
 
YAY! Glad to see so many joining up! I did get in my goal excersize PLUS another 15 min's!!!

I'm gonna keep a chart..Let me know if anyone has a better "charting" idea :)

Okay im gonna edit mine a bit.
Exercise AND eating more than 2 cups of vegetables a day.

Ive done the vegetables today already, had a massive salad that filled an entire large lunch box. About 1 cup tomatoes, 2-3 cups lettuce, half cup carrots, and some chicken bacon bits for flavour.

Still need to do the exercise bit

I want to exercise at the gym at least twice a week, fingers crossed, I should manage it. Il cheat and say I started yesterday :D just borrowing your chart photocrazed :eek:

I'd like to join this too! I've already started before I saw this thread so this is day four for me. My goal is to do 45 minutes of cardio at least 6 days a week.

Day 1: 45 minutes on exercise bike
Day 2: 45 minutes on exercise bike
Day 3: 45 minute walk - 2 miles
Day 4: 45 minutes on exercise bike
Day 5: No Exercise- Off Day!
Day 6: 50 minutes on exercise bike 2 - 25 minute sessions
Day 7: 45 minutes on exercise bike
Day 8: off- so so so very sick
Day 9: 2 mile walk, not sure how long it took me

50km(2.5 hours) cycling; 2.5 cups veg, 1.5cup fruit yesterday - i was to tired to edit it yesterday lol

I'm in for the 21 day challenge because I really need to get my arse back to the gym and into some rigorous exercise. I'm experiencing some real strong junk food cravings and that's always a sign I'm not working out hard enough. AND I want to get to the 140s by end of April. So thank you for starting this club, NewBride. Here's to a successful 21 days for all!

I know it is not original, but mine is exercise, too.
I want to do SOME kind of cardio for at least half an hour a day and I will continue to lift weight every other day. I have become so resistant to cardio, but I am hoping 21 days will change my mind.
