yup heather when i seen that my weight was over 200...........i felt like crap, I have always been in decent shape, but university got me for sure, fast food!

and i am with u on that diet thing too, I would like to start something to see a major decrease in my weight, but i want to keep it healthy too.
 
I think its like a law that any healthy food on university campuses must be hidden or disguised because a lot of people seem to have a heck of a time finding good food on campus too :p I've found a couple places on mine, though, that seem to work really well for me.

yup I am out of school now until sept 06, but rushing around to class, grabbing cookies and stuff....yup I did that every morning.

guys a good update for me today, yesturday I had a grueling workout...I mean it was a good hard workout, so I am not weighing myself until next week sometime, I dont want to get obsessed with the scale! because I find myself getting obsessed with calories (I have my boyfriend drove crazy!)
 
Well, I can't weigh in on the campus disscussion..but I am also calorie addicted and it drives my hubby nuts! lol I was at one point obsessed w/ the scale too, I'd weigh in 3 times a day! But now I've rather weined myself from it and only weigh in once every couple of days!
 
ya once every couple days is as long as i can hold out without getting on the scale, i dont want to get to involved in that!

yup when my b/f is eating he says, "dont even tell me how many calories i am eating because i dont care!" so i just do it silently now lol
 
Lol, my fiance I'm sure is getting a bit annoyed about it too, but he keeps it to himself because I think he's really more glad that I'm finally taking some initiative to get it done, and if that's what helps me, so be it. He'll actually ask about once a day what I've eaten so far, along with my estimates on calories. I find it much better than before I started dieting and a couple of times a week he'd hint at it ever so subtlely how beautiful I was summer before last, when I lost 20lbs and wouldn't it be great to have that back again?

I have been so bad for exercise this week, I think I've only done it twice :( I've had to rethink my schedule for workouts though, because it just isn't working. I used to work out after work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but between not getting home until midnight, and having to get up at 7 the next morning, I just don't have the energy to get my biking done too. So I'm going to try having Tues/Thurs as my rest days rather than Sat/Wed.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry to say it, but I had a really weak moment today and got a Dairy Queen Blizzard after work. I daresay the stress of the day warranted it, but now I have to face the fact that I don't get dinner tonight. Sigh.

Tomorrow I'll be eating really scarcely too since my fiancee and I decided to have chinese food for dinner. But at least I'll be in a good mood so I won't mind being as hungry.
 
I guess if we don't hear from Maew by monday we are supposed to let katie (amomono) know and she'll take her off the list.

Okay I had to come on because my b/f is out pigging out on nachos.....and I know I am not hungry, but they were looking good! So I thought I would come on the forums to get my mind off food, because I know I dont need it right now, especially because it is 1230am here now....gonna go look around now to try and forget about it!!
 
good evening everyone! checking in for saturday. i can definitely sympathize with everyone on the significant others making a fuss about calorie counting. it's so annoying! i think my bf has come to just accept it by now and he lets me be with my little online looking at calories and writing them down. the past two days haven't been awful, but they haven't been great either. i think i'll have to really kick it into gear tomorrow. friday was the boy's bday so we went out for that, and tonight we went out because it's my mom's graduation. normally if it was just a casual occasion to go out, i would just get a salad with dinner, but these have been really something to celebrate. . . . .so i let myself go a little bit. did go to the gym today for the first time since i felt sick during the beginning of the week - it felt good to be back again. it's such a nice thing that my brother and my mom are so into going now - it really keeps me motivated when i come home. i'm not the one dragging people to the gym anymore.

hope everyone else is having a great weekend!
 
Ya its good having people go to the gym with you, my mom and my sister go with me, and it really does make me go! on the nights when I am like nahhh I dont feel like going, they make me go lol, but I am glad I have their support
 
it really is such a help when you have support from a 'gym buddy'. it's so hard for me because i'm constantly dragging my boyfriend to the gym!! and i hate to drag him anywhere because he can be such a whiny baby if he doesn't want to go. i really would like to find someone in the city that i can go with. . . . .but i don't know anyone who goes to my gym regularly. :p

anyway, checking in for the morning! so far have had a bowl of cereal with skim milk. planning for the gym with the brother and his gf. should be a good day!!!

Canadian girl...great job comming online last night instead of having junk!!

I'm sooo excited right now, and yet confused too....according to my scales I've dropped 5 pds already!! How's that possible?? I mean, I was eating really bad for a while, and since i've been back on track, I've done really really well. I can feel it, I have more energy already and I dont' feel bloated anymore. BUT still 5 pds in 4 dys is unreal! I guess I'll know for sure if I weigh in at that same weight tommorrow morning

Ya I got to sleep in today which is a rare thing for me, so it was nice! I am having some fresh fruit now to eat, and some fresh veggies (its lunchtime here now)

I am off to a hockey game @ 2pm, so I wanna fill up on good food at home so I dont eat that junk food at the hockey game!!

Hey Everyone! I'm back! I tried my best to eat reasonably well on camp. I'm hitting the gym in 15 minutes too....

I will weigh myself tomorrow and post the official verdict: Will be so happy if I've lost ANYTHING! I'm serious!

Keep up the great work team!!!
 
Oh infomercials, will I ever learn?

I just saw an infomercial on TV for a DVD workout called Turbo Jam (, and call me a sucker but it looked really good and I ordered it. I mean, I did a quick search online to see what others thought of it, and so far the feedback seems to be mostly "holy crap this music really keeps me motivated" "this is way more fun than any other I've tried", and the occasional "I have two left feet and can't get the moves"

It'll be here in a couple of weeks, and I am way psyched out :D The total cost is about $75 including shipping, over three months. I'll let you guys know how I like it!
